288: Judgment of the Goddess of Light
The Divine Arts of the Goddess of Light were not so easily resisted.
Even though the Elf Queen exhausted all the Power Of Faith from the Goddess of Life statue, it only delayed things for a while.
Soon, the emerald green shield was breached by the rain of light, and countless light particles struck their bodies, destroying the Elf Queen and Ning Haocheng's bodies and Souls.
"Mortals are Mortals. Without the protection of a god, you are nothing."
"Alright! I've tormented you enough! It's time to send you on your way!"
The Goddess of Light gathered Divine Power on her staff, intending to kill both of them then and there.
Ning Haocheng, however, suddenly burst into laughter.
"Hahahahaha....."
"What are you laughing at?!" The Goddess of Light found the sound incredibly grating, as if he were mocking her.
"I'm laughing at you for being a pig, no, I shouldn't insult pigs like that. How can you compare to a pig? Pigs are much smarter than you!"
"You..." The Goddess of Light was greatly angered, her chest heaving violently.
Ning Haocheng, covered in blood, swayed and stood up, facing the deity directly.
He had long since reached his limit; his ability to stand was purely due to a surge of mental strength.
"You can break my body, but you cannot break my will!" Ning Haocheng whispered, as if stating a fact.
"I don't need to break your will; I only need to destroy your body and Soul." Saying this, the Goddess of Light moved to slay Ning Haocheng.
Ning Haocheng was stunned.
Holy cow!
This Goddess of Light wasn't playing by the rules!
Didn't everyone say villains die from talking too much? Does this Goddess of Light have no professional ethics as a villain?!
Shouldn't you destroy my will first, then my body and Soul?
Just as the Goddess of Light was about to cast another Divine Art, Ning Haocheng suddenly pointed behind her and shouted, "Praise the great Goddess of Life! You've finally come to save us! Quick, ambush her before she reacts!"
The Goddess of Light turned around while casting numerous light shields, but the imagined attack did not arrive; everything was calm.
There was no Goddess of Life behind her, as Ning Haocheng had claimed.
"I've been tricked."
The Goddess of Light looked down, but Ning Haocheng and the Elf Queen were nowhere to be seen.
Only a deep pit in the ground indicated that they had just escaped from there.
"Damn it! You've tricked me again and again! Today, I will make sure you die!"
The Goddess of Light roared in fury, a booming sound that made heaven and earth tremble.
Across the continent, all living beings trembled; they had all heard this furious roar from a god.
Similarly, they were curious.
Who could repeatedly trick a god and, even now, remain unslain by that god?
Of course, in their view, anyone who provoked a god like this had absolutely no chance of survival.
But to push a god to this extent was unique and would surely be recorded in history books.
.......
On their escape route, the Elf Queen asked Ning Haocheng, "Didn't you just say the Goddess of Life had arrived? Then why are we still running?!"
"Are you truly foolish or just pretending? All that just now was to trick her, to buy time, can't you tell?!"
With such a naive Elf Queen, Ning Haocheng felt he could trick her seven times a day.
"But I clearly sensed the aura of the Goddess of Life descending." The Elf Queen pointed to the Life Mark on her brow.
After Ning Haocheng spoke those words, she had sensed the Goddess of Life's aura.
She had thought Ning Haocheng sensed it too, but in the end, he had taken her and run.
Ning Haocheng noticed no movement behind them and was also very surprised; given the Goddess of Light's personality, it was impossible for her to let them go.
So.....
He contacted a field reporter.
[Ning Haocheng: @Chu Mo, Chu Ge, what's the situation on site? Has the Goddess of Life arrived?]
[Chu Mo: The Goddess of Light was instantly defeated by the Goddess of Life. Now the situation... is completely under the control of my Clone.]
Huh? Under the control of a Clone?!
What does that mean?!
Ning Haocheng found it very bizarre.
However, Chu Mo told him that he had already returned to his original world and would begin dividing the spoils once things settled down.
Ning Haocheng suppressed his restless thoughts, indicating that Chu Mo could go ahead and be busy, and the division of spoils could be handled later.
He had just finished chatting.
Ning Haocheng noticed the Elf Queen staring at him, "What? Is there a flower on my face? Or are you captivated by my handsome appearance?!"
The Elf Queen, held under Ning Haocheng's arm, tilted her head, her gaze fixed.
"I'm wondering, what Race are you?"
".....I am of the Human Race."
"Impossible, you absolutely cannot be a Human. The Human Race doesn't have such recovery abilities!"
Hey! You little girl, why are you insulting me?! You're not Human, your whole family isn't Human...
He almost forgot.
This guy's whole family really isn't Human!
"Your recovery ability is almost comparable to mine, but I have such powerful recovery ability because I am an Elf chosen by the Goddess of Life and imbued with the Life Mark."
The Life Mark shimmered.
The Elf Queen's injuries were rapidly recovering. Although she had recovered a lot, she wasn't as lively and completely healed as Ning Haocheng.
"Just take medicine!" Ning Haocheng replied.
"Take medicine? What medicine?!"
"HP and MP potions! Come, open your mouth, I'll give you a bottle!"
Perhaps because they had fought together before, and Ning Haocheng had saved a few small Elves, the Elf Queen trusted him more.
When Ning Haocheng took out a dark, murky potion that looked and smelled like poison, the Elf Queen actually drank it.
It tasted awful, but the effect was truly good.
Just one bottle, and the Elf Queen had already nearly died.
Ning Haocheng looked at the bottle in his hand.
Oops!
Wrong one!
This wasn't a Heaven's Recovery Potion; it was a poison to Heaven!
"Hey! Don't die, I've already given you the antidote, please don't die, isn't it enough if I kneel for you? This Necrotic Corruption Juice tastes a hundred times worse than fermented bean juice, how did you swallow it......."
........
The Elf Forest, now a wasteland.
The Goddess of Light was bound and restrained by green vines, unable to move.
The Goddess of Life looked at her indifferently.
"Ilinasha, you descended from the Divine Realm privately and massacred living beings. Do you have anything else to say?"
"Didn't you also descend? According to Divine Realm regulations, although you are a Main God, you have no right to judge me, because I am subordinate to the God of Light. If there's to be a judgment, it should be Lord God of Light who judges!"
The Goddess of Light's attitude was extremely arrogant; even though she was now a prisoner, she remained fearless.
Simply because.
The God of Light stood behind her.
"God of Light, you heard her! How do you intend to deal with her?"
A divine light descended, revealing a majestic figure. The one who arrived was none other than the God of Light, wielding the Light Holy Sword.
However.
He was covered in wounds.
A wound stretched across his chest from his left shoulder to his right waist, almost cutting him in two.
The Goddess of Light saw the God of Light as a lifeline.
Even though the God of Light was covered in wounds, she didn't immediately ask for the reason but frantically sought help from him.
"Lord God of Light, save me..."
"You stole my weapon, colluded with the God of Darkness, and tried to harm me, and you still want me to save you?" The God of Light's eyes were indifferent, but also contained a monstrous killing intent, and he tightened his grip on the Light Holy Sword in his right hand.
"I didn't, I really didn't! Everything I did was to help you, Lord, gather more believers!" The Goddess of Light pleaded continuously. At this moment, she didn't look like a goddess at all, but rather a dog wagging its tail and begging.
Beside them, the Goddess of Life's gaze suddenly became incredibly sharp, "Good, good, good! To gather more believers, you lay hands on my believers! God of Light, you'd better give me an explanation, otherwise, don't blame me for declaring war on you!"
