127: The Wrath of the Dragon King (9)

[Sample recorded. Global scanning initiated...]

[Scanning complete. Target is currently located in the Malay Archipelago region of Southeast Asia; specific coordinates have been marked.]

On the map, a red dot flickered on a small island in the Malay Archipelago.

"As expected, they're there," Wang Chen sneered.

He pulled up photos of Grim Reaper, Shadow, and Blood Blade, entering them into the system as well.

[All three targets are in the same area.]

Excellent, the chance to take them all out at once has arrived.

"Boss." Chenlong returned shortly after leaving, "Bai Li has sent over the intelligence."

The large screen switched, displaying two detailed dossiers.

The first was the Hades Hall Southeast Asia branch, codenamed "Snake Pit," located on a private island in the Malay Archipelago called "Vipers Fang Island." It had a permanent staff of about one hundred and twenty people, equipped with three patrol boats and two helicopters. Its primary functions were logistics transit and personnel rest.

The second was the Hades Hall Middle East branch, codenamed "Sandstorm," with a permanent staff of five hundred and eighty people, equipped with armored vehicles, anti-aircraft missiles, and even two Soviet-style tanks. It served as the command hub for Hades Hall in Africa and the Middle East.

"Sandstorm..." Wang Chen murmured the name, "Rat and the others won't have an easy time with this mission."

"Do we need to send reinforcements?" Chenlong asked.

"No need." Wang Chen shook his head, "I trust Rat's capabilities. Besides, our equipment advantage is clear."

He paused: "However, over here in Southeast Asia, we must resolve this quickly. Vipers Fang Island is surrounded by sea; once they are alerted, it will be very easy for them to escape by water."

"Then we'll launch a night raid and simultaneously blockade the sea and air," Chenlong suggested. "Use apaches to control the air, and as for the patrol boats... we can rent speedboats locally, or simply use transport planes to airdrop assault boats."

"Agreed." Wang Chen nodded, "You handle the arrangements. Also, contact Dragon Shield's Southeast Asia branch and have them prepare logistical support in advance."

"Yes, sir."

After Chenlong left, Wang Chen pulled up the satellite imagery of Vipers Fang Island again.

The island wasn't large, about three square kilometers, with a building complex in the center and surrounded by beaches and jungle.

There was a small pier on the east side and a helipad on the west side.

"Surrounded by sea..." Wang Chen muttered to himself, "Then I'll make sure you have nowhere to run."

He pressed his communicator: "All captains, return for a meeting. The operational plan has been adjusted."

Five minutes later, the twelve captains gathered once more.

"The plan has changed." Wang Chen got straight to the point. "For the Southeast Asia operation, we are not only taking out the branch, but we must also capture Grim Reaper and Xiao Yu alive. The Middle East operation remains the same, but Rat, you must pay special attention—the Sandstorm branch likely has underground escape tunnels, so you must block them off completely."

"Capture alive?" Tiger scratched his head, "Boss, that Grim Reaper guy won't be easy to catch."

"That's why you need to use your brains." Wang Chen tapped the screen. "Vipers Fang Island's terrain is suitable for a nighttime infiltration. Chenlong, you lead Team One to penetrate from the eastern beach. Tiger, you lead Team Two to cut in from the western jungle. Rabbit, Snake, you two will infiltrate from underwater and take control of the pier."

He looked at everyone: "My requirement is that by 2:00 AM, the island's perimeter must be controlled silently. At exactly 2:00 AM, launch a simultaneous general offensive. apaches will be on standby in the air; once the fighting starts, destroy their helicopters and patrol boats immediately to cut off all retreat routes."

"And what about you, Boss?" Chenlong asked.

"Me?" Wang Chen smiled, "I'll take a few people and paradrop directly onto the roof of the central building. Grim Reaper and Xiao Yu should be there."

"That's too dangerous!" Chenlong objected, "A paradrop target is too obvious. If they are prepared..."

"That's why I need you to create chaos on the perimeter," Wang Chen said. "Besides, even if I'm surrounded, I can hold out until your reinforcements arrive."

He looked at Chenlong: "What, no confidence in me?"

Chenlong was silent for a moment before shaking his head: "No. It's just..."

"Just what?"

"It's just that you are now the Dragon King, the backbone of the entire Dragon Shield." Chenlong said seriously, "Nothing can happen to you."

Wang Chen patted his shoulder: "Don't worry, the person who can kill me hasn't been born yet."

He turned to face everyone: "Three days of preparation time. The focus of simulation training will be night infiltration, island combat, and helicopter fast-roping. Any other questions?"

"Yes!" Tiger raised his hand, "Boss, what about the A-10..."

"We won't be using the A-10 for this operation," Wang Chen interrupted him. "Vipers Fang Island is too small. One missile from an A-10 and the island would probably be gone. We want them alive, not bombed into oblivion."

Tiger gave a disappointed "Oh."

"However," Wang Chen added, "if you perform well this time, I'll let you fly the A-10 when we hit that branch in Africa next time."

"Really?!" Tiger snapped his head up.

"When have I ever lied to you?"

"Long live the Boss!"

The meeting ended, and everyone went to prepare.

Wang Chen stood before the large screen, looking at the coordinates of Vipers Fang Island and the Sandstorm branch, his gaze calm.

Three days later.

The wrath of the Dragon King would descend once again.

And this time, he would make the whole world remember!

The consequence of provoking the Dragon King was nothing but destruction.

He stood up and walked out of the command room, arriving outside the base.

On the distant airport runway, ground crew were performing nighttime maintenance on the Warthogs.

In a nearby hangar, the massive silhouette of an AC-130 was faintly visible.

On the training field, some squads were putting in extra practice, the sound of gunfire exceptionally clear in the night air.

Tiger and Zodiac: Ox, those two idiots, had somehow gotten hold of two drones and were playing "aerial dogfight," resulting in a collision that exploded into a shower of sparks, followed by cursing from below.

Wang Chen watched all this, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.

Some things must be done!

Some people must be saved!

Some grudges must be avenged!

Three days later, late at night.

The Malay Archipelago, twenty nautical miles east of Vipers Fang Island.

A modified fishing boat floated quietly on the sea, its cabin packed with people.

Tiger, wearing a wetsuit, was applying camouflage paint to his face while humming an out-of-tune song: "Listen to me say thank you, because of you, the four seasons are warmed..."

"Big Cat! Can you stop singing?" Rabbit rolled her eyes, "Didn't Old Zodiac: Ox tell you that your singing is really terrible?"

"What do you know, this is called pre-battle relaxation." Tiger finished his last stroke of greasepaint and turned to look at a large man behind him, "Tiger Head, nervous?"

Tiger Head was checking his rifle magazine and gave a simple smile: "A little. But thinking about being able to beat up that grandson Grim Reaper, I'm not nervous anymore."

Chenlong walked in from the cockpit, "Everyone, check your equipment one last time. In five minutes, we move according to plan."

Wang Chen sat in the corner, resting with his eyes closed.

He wore black combat gear, with two pistols at his waist and a dagger strapped to his thigh.

He was frighteningly quiet, yet everyone could feel a sharp aura poised for action.

"Boss." Chenlong walked over, "The weather radar shows it might rain in an hour, and visibility will drop."
