138: Raid on Fisherman's Bay

Bai Li stood nearby, resting her chin on her hands, her head tilted as she watched Wang Chen.

The dominance in his voice, the decisiveness of his commands, that aura of total control... in her eyes, it was a lethal poison.

Bai Li subconsciously wiped the back of her hand; she seemed mesmerized, unwilling to even blink.

She sat there in a daze until the meeting ended and everyone had left.

Wang Chen walked up to her, leaned down, and lightly flicked her smooth forehead.

“What are you thinking about? You're even drooling.”

She touched the corner of her mouth.

It was dry; there was nothing.

“Wang Chen, you lied to me!” She snapped back to reality, giving him an annoyed roll of her eyes.

Then, she lifted her head like a proud peacock and let out a huff:

“Hmph! None of your business!”

With that, she turned and walked away, her ponytail swaying behind her.

Wang Chen watched her back, shaking his head with a smile.

This girl was quite cute when she acted tsundere.

5:00 PM.

In the open space by the entrance, one hundred and twenty people were ready to go.

Everyone was dressed in black tactical gear, equipped with night-vision goggles, and their weapons and ammunition had been checked.

When Wang Chen and Bai Li walked out holding hands, everyone snapped to attention.

“Boss!”

The voices were perfectly synchronized.

Wang Chen nodded, his gaze sweeping across every face.

These were the brothers who had faced life and death with him.

“I won't say much,” he said solemnly. “Remember our principles: protect yourselves, complete the mission. Move out.”

“Yes, sir!”

The convoy sped out of the branch office, heading toward Fisherman's Bay.

In the car, Chen Long confirmed the operational plan one last time.

“The terrain at Fisherman's Bay pier is open with no cover. We’ll flank them from three directions. I’ll lead the team in from the east, Rat will infiltrate from underwater to control the vessel, and Zodiac: Ox and Tiger will launch a frontal assault from the west.”

“Doctor and Demon are likely on the ship. If you find Doctor, prioritize capturing him alive. If there's heavy resistance, you are authorized to kill.”

“Understood.”

“Right,” Chen Long added. “Miss Bai is with the Boss; you guys make sure to protect them.”

Tiger grinned. “Don't worry, Captain Long. With the Boss's skills, does he even need our protection? It’s more likely he’ll be protecting us.”

The group chuckled softly.

Indeed, they had all witnessed Wang Chen's combat prowess.

7:00 PM sharp, Fisherman's Bay pier.

The sun had sunk below the horizon, and the sky was darkening.

The pier was brightly lit, and the freighter was still docked at the shore.

Over thirty guards in black were patrolling the pier, their security tight.

In the cabin, Doctor sat in a chair, the silver briefcase placed before him.

Demon stood by the window, observing the outside situation with binoculars.

“When will Lord Satan arrive?” Doctor asked.

“Two more hours.” Demon lowered the binoculars. “Doctor, I have a bad feeling. It’s too quiet.”

“How so?”

“Usually at this time, the seabirds should be returning to their nests. But today, there isn't a single bird.”

Doctor frowned.

He walked to the window and looked out into the pitch-black night.

It was indeed too quiet.

Eerily quiet.

“Tell everyone to stay aler—” Before he could finish his sentence.

“Bang!”

A gunshot shattered the silence of the night.

A guard on the east side of the pier fell to the ground.

Immediately after, gunfire erupted from all directions!

“Enemy attack!”

Demon roared, grabbing a gun nearby and rushing out.

Doctor's expression changed, and he turned to grab the silver briefcase on the table.

But just as his hand touched the case.

“Crash!”

The cabin window was smashed, and several dark figures rolled inside.

It was Rat, Monkey, and the others!

“Doctor, we've been looking for you for a long time.” Rat sneered, his gun already aimed at him.

Doctor reacted extremely fast, grabbing the case and running deeper into the cabin.

Monkey lunged forward, tackling him from behind, and the two rolled across the floor.

“Damn it!” Doctor cursed, pulling a dagger from his boot and stabbing backward.

Monkey dodged to the side and slammed an elbow into his face.

“Crack!”

The sound of a breaking nose bridge.

Doctor screamed in pain, and the briefcase flew out of his hand.

Rat was quick, catching the case with one hand while pulling out a pair of handcuffs from somewhere with the other, locking them around Doctor's wrist with a 'click'.

“Stay still!”

Doctor still tried to struggle, but Monkey had already pinned his back down with a knee, rendering him unable to move.

“Take him away!” Rat ordered.

Two team members behind him stepped forward, grabbing Doctor from both sides and dragging him out.

Doctor struggled and cursed as he was dragged: “How dare you touch me! Dain Company won't let you get away with this! Lord Satan will be here soon! You're all going to die!”

Rat didn't bother listening to him. He checked the silver briefcase, confirmed it was fine, and reported through the comms.

“Boss, Doctor has been captured. The case is in our hands.”

“Good.”

On the pier, the battle was nearing its end.

Demon and his last two subordinates were hiding behind a pile of containers, putting up a desperate resistance.

“Boss, we can't hold them off!” one subordinate cried, his face covered in blood. “There are too many of them, and their firepower is too strong!”

Demon’s face was twisted. “Hold them off even if you can't! Lord Satan will be here any moment!”

Before he could finish, a grenade rolled over.

“Get down!”

The three of them threw themselves to the ground.

“Boom!”

The grenade exploded, the shockwave rattling the containers.

Just as the sound of the explosion faded, Tiger rushed out holding a machine gun, shouting as he sprayed bullets!

“Demon! Your Grandpa Tiger is here! Surrender now!”

Bullets struck the containers, sending sparks flying everywhere.

Demon's two subordinates tried to return fire, but as soon as they poked their heads out, they were shot in the head from behind by members of the Chen Long Squad.

“Thud!”

Two bodies fell.

Now only Demon was left.

He looked at the desperate situation before him, his eyes flickering.

Suddenly, he raised his hands and shouted:

“I surrender! Don't shoot!”

Tiger paused, stopping his fire.

“Throw out your gun!”

Demon threw out his rifle.

“And your knife and pistol!”

A dagger and a pistol were also thrown out.

Tiger made a gesture to Tiger Head behind him.

Tiger Head understood and walked over cautiously, prepared to confiscate the weapons.

At the moment Tiger Head bent down to pick up the gun!

Demon suddenly lunged forward!

He grabbed the bodies of his two subordinates and shoved them forward to block Tiger's line of sight, while he himself leaped toward the sea!

“Trying to run?!” Tiger roared in fury, raising his gun to shoot.

But it was too late.

Demon's body had already cleared the railing and was falling toward the water.

In that split second!

“Bang!”

A dull gunshot rang out.

It wasn't the sound of an ordinary rifle.

It was the sound of an anti-materiel sniper rifle.

In mid-air, Demon's head exploded like a watermelon.

Red and white matter splattered all over the railing.

Then, with a 'splash', the headless corpse fell into the sea, bobbing up and down with the waves.
