34: This isn't a fox spirit at all; it's a wolf!

Three days later, during the Yao Race's Holy Festival, under the watchful eyes of the public.

This saved the trouble of searching all over the world.

After the Ice Dragon Empress finished her explanation, the Empress tapped her fingertip, sending a point of immortal light into her brow, leaving behind an ethereal yet fatal mark.

"If you have any ulterior motives or leak any word, this mark will cause your body and soul to be utterly destroyed."

The Empress's tone was flat, but every word carried the weight of a thousand catties. The Ice Dragon Empress solemnly accepted, not daring to disobey.

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

The Yao Race's centennial Holy Festival competition kicked off at the North Realm's largest Divine Beast Firmament Arena.

Ten thousand Yao gathered; the scene was practically the "Yao Race version of the Spring Festival travel rush and the World Expo."

Under the concealment of the three immortals' power, Chu Ye looked down from the sky, clicking his tongue in wonder.

Nine-headed Giant Serpents coiled like mountains, eight-tailed celestial foxes walked on clouds, winged Thunder Tigers, frost-breathing Black Tortoises... many rare and exotic beasts he had only seen in the "Classic of Mountains and Seas" in his past life were now running and neighing before his eyes.

"The ancestors' imagination seems to have been quite conservative," Chu Ye complained to himself.

But beneath the excitement, a hint of strangeness rose in his heart.

The entire Firmament Arena gave him an indescribable sense of "physical discomfort," as if this grand venue itself was a carefully disguised... massive altar.

At this moment, immortal light drifted down from the sky, as biting as the eternal wind and snow of the North Realm.

The clamoring ten thousand Yao fell silent instantly, all looking up in awe.

A figure, accompanied by hazy lake-light and Immortal Qi, landed on the supreme throne. Her graceful figure was faintly visible, with only a pair of ice-blue eyes exposed—clear and translucent, yet as indifferent as ancient ice, looking down on all living beings as if they were mere blades of grass.

Fox Immortal!

The System interface instantly popped up the scanning results:

【Heavenly Moon Spirit Fox · Half-Soul Body.

Identity: Lord of the North Realm.

Appearance Rating: 99.

Status: Pseudo-Immortal (Incomplete Law, stuck between the Emperor Realm and the Immortal Realm).】

Chu Ye focused his gaze, and those ice-blue eyes seemed to sense something; her gaze seemed to pierce through the Void Realm, lightly touching the Karma concealment laid out by the heavenly secret abacus.

The Empress frowned slightly and whispered, "Not a True Immortal, yet she has already transcended the Emperor Realm."

The Witch Queen, silent and invisible, quietly planted an extremely secret Witch Dao Mark beneath the other's hazy Immortal Qi.

The Fox Immortal did not stay long, only announcing the start of the competition in a cold voice, and after asserting her presence, she drifted away, remaining as reclusive and mysterious as ever.

Night fell, but the revelry did not stop.

Relying on the Witch Queen's mark, the three of them quietly tracked her to a hidden ancestral land. A huge Celestial Fox Stone Statue stood there, lifelike, radiating an ancient and desolate aura.

Chu Ye wanted to save trouble and directly summoned the hundred phoenix diagram, but unexpectedly, the space treasure that had always been successful "slacked off" for the first time, unable to suck the Fox Immortal in.

This was completely beyond his expectations.

"Then let's be direct."

The Empress never dawdled; before her immortal sword was even drawn, her vast immortal pressure had already overturned like the sky, crushing down.

The Witch Queen struck at the same time, her Nether Witch Incantation turning into invisible chains that coiled around.

The Fox Immortal seemed to have anticipated this; though not a True Immortal, her methods were treacherous and her power formidable, allowing her to endure several exchanges against the two True Immortals.

However, the absolute gap in strength was insurmountable, and she soon showed signs of defeat.

But from beneath that hazy Immortal Qi came a light chuckle that showed no sign of panic.

"This seat already calculated this tribulation; it was unavoidable."

Her voice was cold and noble, yet it carried a madness of defying heaven. "In that case, then... I shall change my fate against the heavens!"

Before her voice faded, her hands formed a mysterious Seal.

The huge Celestial Fox Stone Statue behind her actually shed tears of blood!

With her as the center, countless blood-colored runes instantly lit up like frantically spreading blood vessels, covering the entire ancestral land in an instant and spreading outward at an alarming speed, as if to swallow the entire sky of the North Realm!

The Witch Queen's gaze froze. "A Forbidden Sacrificial Formation! She wants to use the creatures and Luck of the entire North Region as sacrifices! This Formation... was definitely not set up on short notice!"

The Empress snorted coldly, her immortal sword slashing out a brilliant radiance, destroying more than half of the spreading Formation patterns with a single strike.

But the Fox Immortal laughed instead of being alarmed. In the next moment, from all over the North Region, pillars of blood-colored light soared into the sky, and endless power poured into the great Formation. The destroyed Formation patterns were instantly restored, and their power surged several times over!

Chu Ye stared at the complex and ancient Formation patterns that contained the principles of heaven and earth. The Legacy of the heavenly secret abacus in his mind was triggered, and he blurted out, "Ten Aspects Nine Absolutes Formation! The number one forbidden killing Formation of ancient times!"

Once this Formation is activated, it uses a portion of the world as a furnace, all living beings as fuel, and Luck as fire. It will never stop until the last bit of life and fortune is burned away.

The way to break the Formation?

The only way is to kill all living beings within the Formation and destroy all Luck, leaving the great Formation with nothing to sacrifice!

It's an ultimate ruthless move, embodying the sentiment of 'after I'm dead, who cares if the floods overflow.'

"Killing one person is a crime; killing ten thousand makes one a hero..."

Chu Ye looked at that hazy figure and couldn't help but marvel, "You're going straight for 'slaughtering a region to prove your path.' This is a Fox Immortal? She's a ruthless legend."

At this moment, the great Formation was complete, enveloping the three of them as well.

This was clearly a death trap planned for a thousand years, designed to lure the tiger from the mountain.

The Fox Immortal's figure was graceful, her voice still cold and calm. "The calamity was decided long ago; to avoid it is certain death."

"Only by borrowing the power of you variables to ignite this Formation, sacrificing the North Realm and seizing the creation of heaven and earth... can this seat break the shackles and truly ascend to immortality."

Chu Ye pointed out the key: "The backlash of this Formation means the controller also cannot escape having their Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering."

"So what?" the Fox Immortal's tone was indifferent, yet contained extreme arrogance. "This seat does not care at all."

Looking at her nearly certain posture, combined with the "Half-Soul Body" scanned by the System, a flash of inspiration hit Chu Ye, and he suddenly understood the true plan of this crazy beauty.

How was this a suicide attack?

This was clearly... a golden cicada shedding its shell, a sacrificial swap!

She want to sacrifice probably wasn't just the North Region, but also her own 'half'!

Chu Ye instantly saw through the Fox Immortal's plan. Outside, the world was like a scroll dipped in ink-blood.

The ice and snow turned black, and blood-colored flakes drifted from the firmament, as if the heavens were wailing. Wherever the Formation patterns passed, there was scorched earth for thousands of miles, and the Spiritual Qi was depleted.

The most tragic were the living beings of the North Realm; thousands of Yao Race members had their flesh and blood melted away in their ignorance, turning into crimson nourishment for the great Formation. The higher the cultivation, the faster they were "harvested."

At this moment, the outside North Realm was already turned upside down.

Low-level Yao were still dazed when their flesh and blood melted, becoming nourishment for the great Formation.

Those with profound cultivation, such as the Yao Sovereigns of various regions and ancient Yao Emperors, found their majestic Yao power and vitality instead triggered a more ferocious devouring by the Formation. They unleashed their innate Divine Abilities, burning their essence blood: the Dragon Clan leaped into the nine heavens, the Phoenix Clan wept blood in Nirvana, the Black Tortoise raised the Heavenly Gange, and the White Tiger's Evil Qi pierced the sky... Ancient existences that had slept for eons and were regarded as the foundations of their tribes were forced to awaken, stepping out of their Seals to join forces against this ruthless punishment originating from the Laws of heaven and earth.

The Jingwei wailed, its voice sorrowful; the Phoenix bathed in fire, only to fall again immediately after Rebirth. All struggles appeared pale and weak before this absolute Formation that enveloped a region and had been planned for ten thousand years.

This was a true heavenly punishment, an extinction with no room for maneuver. Despair, like the coldest ice tide, drowned the minds of all surviving creatures.

And the one who brought all this was precisely the Lord of the North Realm they once revered and submitted to, the Fox Immortal.

However, before this forbidden killing Formation that had been planned for ten thousand years and used a portion of the world as a furnace, all struggles were like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

The Jingwei wailed, and the Torch Dragon's eyes were extinguished; that was the descent of true heavenly punishment, where all things were treated as straw dogs.

Despair, like a black tide on the ice plains, drowned the minds of every survivor. And the source of all this was exactly the Fox Immortal they had once looked up to with awe.
