82: Ministers who share the same bed

A choice?

Bitterness filled the hearts of the Revered Master and Disciple. It seemed like a choice, but in reality, they had none.

Relying on Medicinal Pills every month was like placing their lives and throats in another's hands; besides, could everyone in the Guanghan Immortal Palace rely on Medicinal Pills to maintain themselves?

Moreover, as for the two of them, Li Yue already belonged to him completely, and Cold Moon had no way to resist under the blood pact and the established facts.

In a sense, this Guanghan Immortal Palace had already quietly changed hands the moment Chu Ye set foot in it and Li Yue surrendered, becoming a most unique corner in his vast back garden.

Li Yue and Cold Moon exchanged a glance, both seeing the deep sense of helplessness and resignation in each other's eyes.

Li Yue took a deep breath, seemingly making a decision for her Revered Master, for herself, and for the entire Immortal Palace.

"This Disciple... begs the Revered Master to bestow the permanent cure." Li Yue's voice was soft, yet it echoed clearly in the bedchamber.

The corners of Chu Ye's mouth curled up slightly as he gently put away that Medicinal Pill.

The news was quickly conveyed by Li Yue to several of the most core Grand Elders of the Immortal Palace.

These women, who were of extremely high seniority and profound cultivation, whose faces remained peerless despite the passage of time and who possessed distinct temperaments, reacted differently upon learning of the "permanent cure."

There was fury, shame, and sorrow; but ultimately, after sensing the moonbeam power on Li Yue that was clearly more pure and harmonious—even hinting at a Breakthrough—and Cold Moon's True Immortal power, reality overwhelmed the shackles of reputation.

A few days later, in the "Cold Moon Secret Hall" deep within the Forbidden Ground of the Immortal Palace, a meeting with a subtle and solemn atmosphere was quietly underway.

The leading Elders were all graceful, with temperaments either cold as frost, warm as jade, or aloof as plum blossoms; their cultivation was at the Peak Emperor Realm at the lowest, and two had even stepped into the Immortal Realm.

"Palace Revered Master, can this method... truly dispel the strange poison and even enhance one's cultivation?"

An Elder with a gentle temperament but sharp eyes asked in a heavy voice, her gaze sweeping over Li Yue and Cold Moon.

Cold Moon remained silent, while Li Yue nodded calmly, even proactively releasing a wisp of pure moonbeam immortal power that clearly carried a hint of unfamiliar solar harmony: "It is absolutely true. The fragrant poison in my and Revered Master's bodies has been cleared, and the shackles on our cultivation have also loosened."

Sensing that gentle yet powerful fluctuation of energy, the Elders' expressions became complex.

After a long time, a gray-haired Elder with the coldest face and a temperament like carved ice spoke slowly. Her voice carried no emotion, yet she made the only possible choice: "If that is the case... to preserve the existence of the Immortal Palace, eliminate hidden dangers, and increase our strength to face future changes... we... are willing to follow this expedient measure."

She spoke the words "expedient measure" very slowly but very clearly, as if convincing herself and providing a seemingly reasonable excuse for the other Elders.

Thus, a "collective detoxification and healing" plan, personally arranged by Palace Revered Master Li Yue, tacitly approved by former Palace Revered Master Cold Moon, and "righteous"ly sacrificed for by the Grand Elders, was quietly launched within the innermost circle of the Guanghan Immortal Palace.

Chu Ye, naturally, was happy to oblige.

Over the next month, the atmosphere of the Guanghan Immortal Palace, a Holy Land of pure cultivation famous throughout the continent, underwent a subversive change.

The Formations of the Forbidden Ground frequently lit up, isolating the inside from the outside. Chu Ye's figure became a regular visitor to the secret halls, secluded pavilions, cold pools, and even the main hall and jade terraces.

From the Grand Elders with temperaments as cold as frost to the graceful Hall Revered Masters who held real power; from the ice-pure Saintess hailed as the next Palace Revered Master candidate to the exceptionally talented and beautiful core True Disciples... any woman with sufficient cultivation, outstanding appearance and temperament, and who could be recognized by the System—which usually meant peerless beauty—came before Chu Ye in turn under Li Yue's "reasonable" arrangements, in the name of "eradicating the fragrant poison and strengthening the Origin."

The processes might have been different.

Some were sorrowful and resolute, viewing it as a sacrifice; some were half-willing and half-reluctant, shyly acquiescing; some were resigned to their fate, actively catering to him.

But under Chu Ye's invisible influence, the medicinal power of the residual fragrant poison, his methods, and the temptation of "liberation" that truly brought cultivation enhancement, all resistance eventually turned into obedience.

Chu Ye fully experienced the myriad charms of the Guanghan Immortal Palace: some held a melting heat within their coldness, some showed a blooming allure within their shyness, and some displayed a gentle submissiveness after complete surrender... The cold moonbeam power merged with his Origin, creating a marvelous reaction that not only purified the remaining toxins of the heavenly soul disturbance fragrance but also allowed both parties' cultivation to be consolidated and improved to varying degrees.

Chu Ye's System reward achievements naturally snowballed larger and larger.

Like a monarch inspecting his territory, Chu Ye appreciated the myriad charms treasured in the "vault" of the Guanghan Immortal Palace.

The heat of the cold ones after melting, the softness of the majestic ones after breaking, the allure of the holy ones when falling, the brilliance of the shy ones when blooming, the grace of the intellectual ones when sinking... Naturally, he refused no one, indulging in nightly songs and revelry. The beauties on the bed changed constantly; from the bedchambers of the Grand Elders to the secluded dwellings of the Saintess, from the secret rooms of the Hall Revered Masters to the refined lodges of the True Disciples, he left traces and scents of his conquest everywhere.

And the System notifications became the most wonderful accompaniment throughout this month, continuous and unending:
