54: The threat of Lady Flower Rain

On the Lotus Platform, the secret was revealed: “Welcome everyone to the Hua Rong Pond Gathering. This event is not a competition, but a mutually beneficial endeavor.”

He pointed to the surrounding Spiritual Plants, which grew strangely and emitted various Auras: “Our Sect has some rare treasures that require specific Spiritual Power, Physiques, or dao rhymes to catalyze their maturity.”

“All of you are supremely talented, making you the best ‘Spiritual Catalysts.’ If you can successfully ripen the corresponding Spiritual Plants, you will not only gain some of the plant's efficacy, but our Sect will also provide additional compensation. This is using your Dao to complete our Sect's materials, and also fulfilling your Opportunities.”

Chu Ye raised an eyebrow: “Well, this isn't a dinner party, it's 'Advanced Talent Leasing,' treating Geniuses like 'Intelligent Fertilizer' with specific attributes... but the compensation is fair, so it's not a free ride.”

At this moment, a Maid stepped forward gracefully and gently placed a plant potted in a jade basin in front of Chu Ye.

It was a bud, about to bloom, vividly red and dripping, strangely beautiful, emitting an Aura of near-death and Rebirth.

“The suras flower,” the Fox Immortal's icy eyes narrowed slightly, “Guiding the Yellow Springs, at the edge of Reincarnation. Ripening it requires the Law of Reincarnation, a Dao that has long been lost.”

Chu Ye stared at the dazzling red, and a wisp of profound fluctuation silently coiled around his right fingertip. This was the Superficial Understanding of the Law of Reincarnation he had comprehended after Dual Cultivation with Abbess Jing An.

He knew this was the foundation of the world's Cycle of Life and Death, something he had initially verified within the Small World inside the hundred phoenix diagram.

But at this moment, he stroked his chin, his gaze becoming subtle: “They invite Geniuses with Special Physiques, yet they give me this suras flower, which requires a lost Law to manage?”

“And I just happen to have the Law of Reincarnation... too many coincidences make a Script.”

His gaze swept over the smiling Elder in the center, then glanced at the relatively “normal” Spiritual Plants in front of the surrounding people. Chu Ye understood: “The Myriad Spirits Heavenly Sect... this is aimed at me. A test? Then I'll show you clearly.”

He no longer hesitated, lightly tapping the flower bud with his index finger. The Law of Reincarnation, mixed with Grandmist vitality drawn from the hundred phoenix diagram, was gently injected.

“Buzz...”

The suras flower bud trembled slightly, and then slowly bloomed!

The petals unfurled, a breathtaking red. A faint golden halo spread from the center of the flower, and vague Soul shadows and Rebirth Illusions circulated. A richer Aura, pointing directly to the Soul Origin, diffused outwards.

The suras flower bloomed, and the Yellow Springs Road appeared!

In an instant, all eyes focused. Countless shocked and probing gazes fell upon Chu Ye—this person actually wielded the Law of Reincarnation?!

The central Elder's eyes flashed, and his smile deepened slightly.

Chu Ye calmly withdrew his hand, even picking up the adjacent Spiritual Tea and taking a sip. He chuckled softly to the Fox Immortal: “The tea is good.”

The gathering proceeded calmly toward its end, as if the commotion caused by Chu Ye ripening the suras flower was just a minor interlude.

Just as he thought this “Advanced Temp Job” journey was about to conclude uneventfully, the Maid who had guided him earlier returned and respectfully invited him to move.

Chu Ye's mind stirred. He signaled the Fox Immortal to temporarily enter the hundred phoenix diagram. Attending alone might be risky, but keeping her hidden would serve as a Backup Plan.

The Maid was unaware of this, leading him through several layers of flower paths to the depths of a Palace that was even quieter and where the Spiritual Qi was so dense it had materialized into mist.

Inside the room, a young maiden lay quietly on a couch carved from Ten-Thousand-Year-Old Warm Jade.

Her face was as delicate as a porcelain doll, and her entire body was wrapped in tremendous vitality energy, as if she were soaking in a Spring of Life.

Strangely, however, after this massive amount of vitality poured into her body, it vanished like a Clay Ox Entering the Sea, dissipating without a trace, as if her body were a perfect funnel incapable of retaining any vitality.

Even more striking was the layer of extremely faint yet undeniable Reincarnation dao rhyme lingering around the maiden. It shared the same Origin as the Law Chu Ye had just activated to ripen the suras flower, but it was far more chaotic and fragmented.

Just then, a rich yet not overwhelming Floral Fragrance subtly permeated the air, and a figure, like a swaying flower branch, silently appeared before the couch.

The newcomer was dressed in gorgeous Palace Attire, her beauty capable of toppling cities. She possessed the dignified authority of someone long in a high position, yet a hint of natural, enchanting charm flowed between her brows.

Her figure was graceful and voluptuous, truly devilish, yet her Aura was as Steady as a Deep Abyss or Towering Mountain.

The most peculiar thing was the Aura surrounding her: half was intensely surging, vibrant vitality, glowing green; the other half was the deep, dark desolation of all things decaying and Withering and Prosperity.

The two elements merged strangely upon her, not appearing contradictory at all, but instead forming a unique and powerful Field of Aura.

The Sect Master of the Myriad Spirits Heavenly Sect, Madam Hanyu.

She waved away her attendants. In an instant, only she, Chu Ye, and the silent maiden on the couch remained in the Palace.

Those beautiful eyes, capable of making a hundred flowers pale, scrutinized Chu Ye from head to toe without concealment, their gaze sharp enough to dissect the Soul.

“Young Master Chu Ye,” she spoke, her voice pleasant yet carrying an undeniable directness, “This Hua Rong Pond Gathering was actually set up for My Daughter. I invited you here only because I consulted the Old Man of Tianji.”

She paused, her gaze returning to her daughter's pale face, her tone complex: “That old fellow said that the slightest chance of vitality for My Daughter... rests with you.”

Pain and determination mingled in Madam Hanyu's eyes as she quickly explained the whole story.

Her daughter's name is Hua Ling. At birth, she was accompanied by the anomaly of “suras flower blooming, Yellow Springs flowing backward.” Her talent surpassed all others in the Sect, and her path of Cultivation was enviably smooth.

However, during her eighteenth birthday Coming-of-Age Ceremony, an suras flower mark suddenly appeared between her eyebrows, and she fainted on the spot.

When she awoke, her Soul was Incomplete Soul, missing one Soul and two spiritual components, making her incredibly fragile. Even more terrifying, her residual Soul and Origin were continuously being eroded and compressed by an invisible force, eventually leading to a deep, unresponsive sleep, like a candle in the wind.

“I exhausted all my methods before learning,” Madam Hanyu's voice was low, “that she is actually the legendary Reincarnation Physique! This Physique is Innately close to the Dao of Reincarnation, but it is also extremely susceptible to backlash from the Law of Reincarnation.”

“Her cultivation level was insufficient, making her unable to control this supreme Law. Instead, she was eroded by it, losing her Soul components. If no one intervenes, her Soul will ultimately Soul Returns to Heaven and Earth, re-entering Reincarnation.”

After listening, Chu Ye internally exclaimed, “Well, Damn.”

The root of the problem was an Innate Physique BUG, falling under the category of “version too strong, character Rank insufficient, leading to System crash.”

He spread his hands, his expression helpless: “Madam, I am not a Doctor, nor am I an expert in the Law of Reincarnation. This illness... I truly cannot cure it.”

He secretly complained: My Law of Reincarnation is a “Max Rank Trial Card” directly granted by the System. How would I know how to teach someone else to Cultivate it?

System products are simple, crude, and effective, but the accompanying manual doesn't include a “Troubleshooting” section.

He refused flatly and turned around, intending to slip away.

However, the moment his feet moved, he felt the surrounding Space suddenly congeal, as if he had fallen into invisible amber, and the door was completely Sealed.

The corner of Chu Ye's mouth twitched. He turned back to look at the stunning Sect Master.

Madam Hanyu now showed no hint of her former charm, only the extreme majesty and pressure belonging to a Supreme Ruler: “The Old Man of Tianji has never miscalculated, nor would he speak carelessly. I paid an enormous price, and he only gave four words—'vitality lies with you.'”

Her gaze was burning, her tone resolute: “Please take action, Your Highness. Whatever price you demand—Resources, supreme treasures, factional support, or even... everything within my power, I can agree to it.”

She paused, a hint of undetectable coldness entering her words, “Your Highness also has family, and also your Former Country, Great Chu... you should be able to understand a mother's heart. Please... consider this carefully.”

Chu Ye was simply amused and angered by her words.
