18: Chapter Eighteen Enemies

Bidding farewell to the resentful-looking Katrina, Lin Feng turned and re-entered [Stealth] mode, his figure vanishing once again.

His goal was crystal clear: first clear out 30 Tomb Guards, then go slay the BOSS, retrieve the medal, and complete the quest!

Relying on his super-high agility and the Stealth effect, he circled behind a lone Tomb Guard in the blink of an eye.

He raised his dagger and applied [Poisoning] first.

Immediately following that, a critical strike boosted by Stealth was unleashed!

"Puchi!" -602! (Critical Hit!)

With a single slash, the health bar of the Level 20 elite Tomb Guard only dropped by a sliver.

As expected, the level suppression was too severe; the damage was significantly reduced.

The Tomb Guard, stung by the pain, flew into a rage and spun around, sweeping out with a [Fierce Shadow Blade Slash]!

The blade tore through the air, carrying an armor-piercing effect as it struck toward him.

Lin Feng moved his feet, unleashing his full speed, and slid his body to the side, narrowly dodging the attack.

The Tomb Guard missed its attack, leaving a brief opening.

Lin Feng seized the gap, activated Ten-Step Kill, and while the paralysis effect was active, he stabbed repeatedly with his dagger, continuously dealing damage while relying on [Poisoning] to keep lowering its defense.

"521" (Talent Skill Damage) "-422" (Critical Hit) "-446" (Critical Hit) "-480" (Critical Hit)

As expected, without attacking weak points, the damage was reduced by quite a lot. However, this guy was all skin and bones, so there was no such thing as a weak point; he just had to make do and kill it this way.

Just as the Tomb Guard recovered from the paralysis, Lin Feng had already retreated several meters, easily dodging the wild slash it swung out.

An Assassin's advantage was never head-on confrontation, but rather control, kiting, and guerrilla tactics.

He was like an annoying fly, constantly circling around the monster.

While fighting, Lin Feng calmly calculated: "The output for an average skill rotation is around 2000. With 30,000 HP, five minutes should be just about right."

The Tomb Guard's HP was slowly whittled away, from full health to half health, and then to critical health...

[Ding! You killed a Tomb Guard (Elite). Gained EXP: 1800 points! Additional 900 EXP gained for killing a monster five levels higher.] [Quest Progress: Tomb Guard 1/30]

Lin Feng let out a long sigh of relief and picked up the gold coins dropped on the ground.

He glanced at his experience bar; just this one kill had nudged his Level 11 experience bar forward by a small chunk.

Lin Feng couldn't help but smile. This Generals Tomb was simply an exclusive leveling paradise.

"At this rate, 2700 EXP per kill, once I clear 30, being close to Level 12 won't be far off."

He continued leveling, pulling them over one by one with poison. Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, three hours had passed. While his EXP skyrocketed, he was now only one kill away from his quest goal.

Under the boost of his high Charisma, these nearly thirty elite monsters even dropped an extra piece of equipment: a Bronze-grade Excellent pair of boots for a Mage. The stats were quite savage; although he couldn't wear them, it was better than nothing, and he could still sell them for money.

...

"Puchi!" The ghost flame shadow dagger traced a perfect arc in the air like a shooting star, and accompanied by a scream, another Tomb Guard fell.

[Ding! You killed a Tomb Guard (Elite)! Gained EXP: 1800 points! Additional 900 points gained for killing a monster five levels higher!] "Pada!" A golden light flashed; it had actually dropped equipment again.

Lin Feng was quick-eyed and nimble-handed; he picked up the equipment, looked down at the stats, and his pupils constricted slightly.

[Tomb Guard Bone Ring] (Bronze-grade) Quality: Excellent. Strength +10, Agility +10. Required Level: 14. Class Restriction: None.

It was actually an Excellent ring usable by all classes, and it added both Strength and Agility. Lin Feng wiped his drool; these stats were practically tailor-made for him.

It was a pity that the monster's level was too high, so the dropped equipment's level requirement was bumped up a tier. It required Level 14 to equip, and he was only Level 11, so it was still a long way off; he could only throw it into his bag for now.

[Quest Progress: Tomb Guard 30/30!] "Hoo," "Just the last BOSS left..."

Not long ago, he had discovered the BOSS's silhouette on a high platform. It was surrounded by quite a few elite monsters, which had caused him to never dare approach easily before.

But now, the outer Tomb Guards had been mostly cleared out by him. In the entire tomb corridor, only a few scattered, wandering guards remained; they were no longer a threat.

Just as he was preparing to sneak toward the nearest wandering Tomb Guard, a chaotic sound of footsteps and voices suddenly came from the direction of the tomb entrance.

"Keep the formation, don't spread out. This place is full of Level 20 elite monsters," "Be careful, pull them one by one to fight, and strive to complete the mission without any casualties..."

The voices came from far to near. At least five or six figures were cautiously exploring toward his location.

The game hadn't been open for long, yet so many people had actually found the Generals Tomb?

He narrowed his eyes, hid behind a stone pillar, and looked through the gap. Six people walked into his line of sight: five men and one woman. The woman was a Level 10 Priest, and the rest were a Mage, Archer, Assassin, Knight, and Warrior, one of each. They were all Level 10 class-changed players. The leader was a Level 10 Warrior; clearly, this was a top-tier team with a full set of classes.

The Warrior, Chai Wuzang, waved his hand and lowered his voice: "Everyone be quiet. The monsters in this place have very strong stats. Clear the small monsters first, advance slowly, and wait until our gear is up before we touch the BOSS."

"Chai-sang, do you think someone might have already come here to farm? Look at the surroundings... why are there so few monsters?" the Archer, Wuyinshi, asked suspiciously.

"What are you afraid of?" Gui Wuzang said dismissively. "Even if there is, seeing our six-person full-roster Sakura Team, they can only obediently get lost."

Behind the stone pillar, Lin Feng was in Stealth mode and would not be exposed for the time being. He watched this team, a cold sneer slowly curling at the corners of his mouth.

"Damn it, so it's the Sakura Country from the neighboring region. I didn't expect to run into players from another region so soon." "Since it's destined that we will be enemies in the future, then don't blame him for being impolite."

Without understanding the opponent's strength, he did not rush to make a move. To have the entire team reach Level 10 class change in such a short time, they must be among the group of people who could walk sideways within their own server.

Soon, a wandering Tomb Guard happened to respawn in front of their team. "It's here, get ready to go!"

After the six-person team made a slight division of labor, the Knight, Dahewan, launched the attack at the first opportunity to attract aggro, while the other damage-dealing classes coordinated their attacks. The Priest, Xuenai'er, stood at the very back of the team, responsible for healing. The six people coordinated skillfully; one could tell at a glance that it was a team that had been honed over a long period.

"Charge!" Dahewan shouted angrily and charged forward with all his might, using the Knight's signature skill.

"-37" While dealing damage, it stunned the monster for 1 second.

Chai Wuzang's expression sank slightly: "Such high defense! Everyone, output with full force!"

"-103" "-159" "-127" ... Compared to Lin Feng's casual three to four hundred critical hits per slash, the damage output of this team, which could be considered top-tier in the Sakura region, was practically like scraping a board.

The Tomb Guard roared, and the Fierce Shadow Blade Slash swept out! "-621!" The Knight was almost one-shot; it was fortunate that his class was fully specced into Constitution and Defense; if it had been anyone else, they would definitely be dead.

Dahewan turned around to create distance; the Tomb Guard's movement speed was slow, so it was still possible to run away.

Gui Wuzang immediately came out: "Ranged, keep up the continuous damage. Xiaoxue, give the Knight full healing." "Pay attention to coordination and positioning. Melee, attack once and then leave." They pulled the aggro value between each other.

Lin Feng hid behind the stone pillar, taking in their tactics. "Damn it, I have to say, they are actually quite professional."

Melee attacks and retreats, ranged continuous consumption, Priest protecting the Knight at all costs—it was standard tactics; there was a high probability there wouldn't be any casualties.

And just as expected, an accident was about to happen...
