6: Chapter Six Bronze BOSS

Every time he checked a monster's stats, it was a form of torture; as always, God's Domain did not treat players like humans.

A Level 5 mob had 2,400 HP and 20 Defense. Even if it stood still and let an ordinary player hack at it, it would take over ten minutes, right?

Even worse, its Attack had reached a terrifying 95 points, enough to insta-kill him in two hits.

Run?

Run my ass!

The Combusken was already waving its sharp claws, rushing toward him in a rage!

Lin Feng's gaze instantly sharpened. With recovery potions as backing, it wasn't an impossible fight.

After drinking a bottle of Low-Grade Healing Salve, he decisively chose to counterattack.

Instead of retreating, he advanced. Using a side-slide, he perilously dodged the sharp claws of the Combusken swinging at him.

The attack grazed the edge of his clothes. If he were hit head-on, he would definitely lose his life.

The moment he circled to its side, with a thought, Ten-Step Kill was activated.

*Ssh!*

"-115"

Lin Feng's figure turned into a bolt of lightning. While dealing damage, he instantaneously teleported behind the Combusken.

[Ding! Ten-Step Kill effect triggered! Paralysis active for 3 seconds!]

[Ding! Shadow Strike passive activated! Every strike is a critical hit!]

-78 (Critical Hit!)

-76 (Critical Hit!)

-75 (Critical Hit!)

With three fully critical strikes landing, the Combusken's 2,400 HP bar plummeted by a small chunk.

The moment the Combusken's attack missed, its life entered a countdown.

There were no flashy moves, only hard work and sweat.

Just three minutes later, with a wail, the Combusken fell unwillingly to the ground, and a system prompt rang out.

[Ding! Killed a Combusken and gained 70 EXP. Extra 30 EXP gained for killing a higher-level monster.]

...

Getting 100 EXP immediately boosted Lin Feng's EXP bar by a large margin.

Level 4 to 5 required 800 EXP. This single Combusken gave 100 points, equivalent to two and a half Fire Chicks.

The EXP bar now showed: 100/800

Kill 7 more Combuskens, and he would reach Level 5!

"As expected, challenging higher levels is the way to go..."

Lin Feng felt extremely satisfied. While others were still killing Wild Chickens for 5 EXP, he had already started soloing this terrifying Combusken!

Moreover, the Combusken just now dropped a gold coin, making it an extremely wealthy monster! He could level up and make a fortune at the same time.

Time was money. He didn't dare delay and continued deeper into the forest, looking for isolated monsters to kill.

...

Over nearly two hours, he killed quite a few Combuskens and leveled up to Level 6, allocating all the rewarded stat points to Agility.

While Lin Feng was leveling up like crazy all by himself, countless players on the plains in front of the Novice Village were still fighting over Wild Chickens.

Strangely, amidst the crowd, there was one area that was eerily orderly.

About twenty players holding wooden swords ferociously guarded a Wild Chicken spawn point, sweeping their fierce gazes around. Anyone who came within ten meters was immediately shouted at.

"Scram! This area is Young Master Long's territory!"

"Are you blind? Young Master Long is farming mobs, and you dare to steal them? Do you want to die?"

The other side had strength in numbers. The driven-away players were furious but dared not speak out, only able to leave dejectedly.

In the crowd, an attractive youth with a highly ostentatious ID over his head was standing in the center with his hands behind his back, looking proud.

ID: Long Aotian

Someone who dared to have such an ID was clearly a dragon among men.

"You trash, hurry up and weaken the mobs!" Long Aotian frowned, scolding his subordinates impatiently.

"Yes, yes, Young Master Long!"

Several lackeys immediately rushed forward, hacking away at the newly spawned Level 1 Wild Chicken. They carefully lowered its health to a sliver, then stopped immediately and respectfully stepped aside. "Young Master Long, the Wild Chicken is ready."

A smirk of disdain and arrogance curled on Long Aotian's lips. He stepped forward slowly and raised an iron sword in his hand that glowed with a faint white light.

This was a common-grade white weapon he had bought at a high price from another player, which was more than enough to show off in the starter area.

"A bunch of trash, I even have to personally finish off a Wild Chicken."

He swung his sword casually, taking the Wild Chicken's kill. A golden light flashed, and his level suddenly rose to Level 3.

"Young Master Long is awesome!"

"Young Master Long's level must definitely be in the top three of the entire server!"

"Follow Young Master Long, and we'll eat nine meals a day!"

The surrounding lackeys flattered him wildly. Long Aotian smiled slightly, thoroughly enjoying the feeling of being worshiped.

"A bunch of country bumpkins who haven't seen the world. It's just a lousy Wild Chicken. Low-level mobs like this are completely unworthy of my status now."

A lackey beside him immediately stepped forward to flatter: "Young Master Long is wise! With your Level 3 strength, no one in the Novice Village can compare to you. Why don't we go to the forest ahead and farm higher-level mobs?"

"High-level area?" Long Aotian's eyes lit up. "Very well, I'll let you guys see what a true genius is."

"Right! Search our own people's equipment and hand it all over to me," Long Aotian added after a thought.

"Uh, Young Master Long... we really don't have any. Right now, there are eighty-eight of us in this Novice Village, and not a single person has had any equipment drop." One of the lackeys stepped forward, not daring to look him in the eye, and whispered with his head lowered.

"Fuck! A bunch of trash, what's the use of keeping you guys around?"

"This shitty game doesn't even let me top up!"

"My 'power of money' has nowhere to be unleashed, it's so fucking frustrating..."

Long Aotian was extremely angry. Gnashing his teeth, he said, "Go! Into the forest! I don't believe that with my luck, I won't get any equipment drops!"

The group walked toward the forest in a grandiose and cursing manner, bulldozing their way through and scaring the solo players into dodging out of the way.

...

In a dense little forest, Lin Feng was harvesting monsters one by one.

Each Combusken took him about three minutes, which was considered very fast.

But pulling mobs was a technical skill. Several times, he pulled an extra mob and almost died on the spot!

...

[Ding! Congratulations on killing a Combusken, you have gained 70 EXP.]

Killing another Combusken, Lin Feng walked slowly to the corpse to pick up the loot.

"Damn! Finally, an equipment drop!"

Kicking the corpse aside, he discovered a pitch-black ring lying on the ground. He picked it up to look—

[Moonlight Ring] (Black Iron Grade)

Quality: Common

Intelligence: +2

Constitution: +2

Required Level: 3

...

An excellent ring with bonuses to both Intelligence and Constitution, its stats were decent, but it wasn't of much use to him. It merely added some HP and MP, so he just wore it for now.

Just as Lin Feng was about to look for his next target, an earth-shattering roar suddenly came from ahead.

The birds and beasts of the entire forest instantly scattered and fled as an aura several times more ferocious than the Combusken's swept in like a tsunami.

Lin Feng looked up. Not far away, a three-zhang-tall fiery-red giant shadow slowly stood up.

A burning cockscomb sat atop its head, and its eyes, like two balls of fire, locked onto his position. Lin Feng subconsciously cast Detection—

[Super Blaziken (Bronze Boss)]

[Level: 10]

[HP: 15,000]

[Attack: 380]

[Defense: 50]

[Skills: Flare Blitz, Flame Kick]

[Description: One of the ultimate bosses of the Novice Village. Extremely short-tempered, it excels in close-quarters fire combat attacks. A mere touch will cripple you, and a direct hit means instant death!]

...

Looking at the monster's stats, Lin Feng couldn't help but gasp.

"Holy shit! The super... super big BOSS has finally appeared..."
