Chapter 130 Airport
The flashy red Mazda 6 weaved nimbly through the traffic,
Su Wan gripped the steering wheel,
her profile sharp and exquisite,
as she occasionally stole glances at Lin Chen in the passenger seat.
"Master, I've already booked the hotel for this trip to Hong Kong. It's very close to the business district, so it'll be convenient for your errands."
Her voice was soft, carrying a hint of subservience,
"Would you like me to contact a local business registration company in advance?"
"So you won't have to deal with the hassle once you arrive."
Lin Chen leaned back against the seat, resting with his eyes closed, and simply shook his head slightly:
"No need, Li Sisi has already made the arrangements."
Hearing the name "Li Sisi," Su Wan's fingers tightened imperceptibly on the steering wheel,
and that familiar twinge of jealousy quietly bubbled up in her heart.
But it was only a fleeting thought.
She knew better than anyone that a man like Lin Chen—handsome, capable, and with such a strong presence—could never have just one woman around him.
She couldn't watch him all the time, nor could she stop him. Instead of throwing a tantrum and annoying him, it was better to stay by his side peacefully.
As long as there was a place for her in his heart, and as long as he was good to her, everything else... she could overlook.
"Then is there anything else you need me to arrange beforehand?"
Su Wan tried her best to sound natural.
Lin Chen saw through her slight disappointment at a glance, and the corner of his mouth twitched into an imperceptible smile.
"My place will be empty for the next few days. If you have time, go over and help me clean the rooms."
"Water the plants."
He paused, his voice softening a little:
"Is there anything you want?"
"I'll bring back a gift for you from Hong Kong."
With just that one sentence, Su Wan's heart instantly melted.
He does care about me.
Otherwise, why would he take the initiative to think about buying me a gift?
The jealousy from a moment ago vanished instantly, and she couldn't help but smile.
"I don't really want anything in particular,"
she said softly.
"If Master wants to give me something, just buy anything. I'll like whatever it is."
Lin Chen nodded and said no more.
More than half an hour later, the car came to a steady stop at the T2 Terminal departure level.
Su Wan helped him take down his backpack,
her eyes filled with reluctance, but she didn't dare linger.
"Then, Master, please be careful on your way."
"Mhm."
Lin Chen waved and turned to walk into the terminal.
After passing through security and scanning his boarding pass,
he familiarly found an empty seat near the boarding gate and sat down.
There were still forty minutes before boarding.
He casually replied to a few work messages, scrolled through the news for a bit, and then leaned back to rest his eyes.
The waiting hall was noisy,
a chaotic mix of voices, the rolling of suitcases, and airport announcements.
Nearby, an elderly couple sat close together.
The old lady peeled a segment of an orange and carefully placed it into the old man's mouth with incredibly gentle movements.
Not far away, several students in school uniforms huddled together, whispering and giggling about some gossip, full of youthful energy.
Lin Chen hadn't been resting long when he was awakened by a set of footsteps that were deliberately light yet couldn't hide their excitement.
He opened his eyes and was momentarily stunned.
At some point, three young girls had gathered three or four meters away,
their eyes all darting toward him. One of them was even holding up a phone, the lens faintly pointed in his direction.
Lin Chen instinctively looked left and right.
An empty seat to his left, the elderly couple to his right—no one special.
The girls were still peeking at him,
whispering to each other before covering their mouths and giggling, their eyes full of curiosity and admiration.
Lin Chen didn't bother with them, withdrawing his gaze and looking back down at his phone.
About two minutes later, someone walked softly up to him.
"Um... Handsome Guy."
The girl's voice was a bit nervous and sheepish.
Lin Chen looked up.
A young girl in her early twenties with a high ponytail, her cheeks flushed, her eyes darting away yet unable to stop looking at him.
The two girls behind her were stifling laughs, clearly enjoying the spectacle.
"Can I trouble you for a moment?"
Lin Chen put down his phone. "Is something the matter?"
"It's just..."
The ponytail girl glanced back quickly at her companions, then turned back and whispered,
"We were making a bet over there. My friend said you're a model or a newly debuted star. I said you definitely aren't, because no star travels alone."
"We bet milk tea on it, so... I came over to ask."
Lin Chen couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle.
"Neither."
His tone was casual.
"Just a worker."
"Huh?"
The ponytail girl was stunned on the spot.
"Re-really?"
"Really."
"Then you're just too... handsome."
She cut herself off halfway through, swallowing hard, her face turning even redder as she apologized repeatedly,
"I'm so sorry for bothering you!"
With that, she turned to run off.
"Wait a moment."
Lin Chen called out to her.
The girl paused and looked back at him.
"In your bet, who won?"
The ponytail girl blinked and then immediately broke into a smile:
"Me! I said you weren't a star!"
Lin Chen nodded.
"Then congratulations, you won."
The girl excitedly flashed a peace sign to her friends in the distance. Her companions cheered immediately, and some continued to snap photos with their phones.
"Um..."
She summoned her courage again.
"Can we take a photo with you?"
"Just one. It's not for commercial use; we just want to post it on our moments to show off a bit."
Lin Chen thought about it and stood up. "Sure."
The girls' eyes lit up instantly.
They hurried over, took turns taking photos with him, and then ran off with flushed faces after thanking him.
Just as Lin Chen sat back down, the old lady who had been eating oranges glanced at him with a smile, her tone kind:
"Young man, you really are good-looking."
Lin Chen felt a bit helpless and could only nod politely:
"Thank you, Ma'am."
The old lady wanted to chat some more, but the boarding announcement rang out.
The flight to Hong Kong was now boarding.
Lin Chen picked up his backpack and joined the queue.
As he passed by the girls, he could still hear their excited whispers:
"I told you so!"
"That aura is exactly like a star's!"
"Even the way he walks is so handsome, I'm dying..."
Lin Chen pretended not to hear and walked forward calmly.
"It seems this handsome face of mine is quite useful."
The line moved forward slowly. As he neared the boarding gate, something caught his eye.
Not far away, a woman in a Flight Attendant uniform was walking toward him.
Her skin was glowingly fair, she had an oval face and exquisite makeup, and her uniform accentuated her exceptionally eye-catching figure.
Her chest was full, her waist slender, and the curve of her hips was sharp and attractive.
Beneath her knee-length skirt were a pair of straight, long legs. Her aura was both clean and seductive.
A classic uniform temptation.
Lin Chen made a brief assessment in his mind.
He took one more look and then withdrew his gaze.
[System has detected a qualified female Flight Attendant.]
[Height: 174cm, Chest: 36D, Sexual Experience: 1. Scumming her can earn 91 points.]
[Uniform Temptation can stack with one Blind Box Grand Prize draw.]
Lin Chen clicked his tongue.
"A pity I don't know her. Otherwise, she'd be a rare find."
The plane took off on time at 5:15 PM.
Lin Chen sat in 7K by the window. Outside the porthole was Huanghua Airport, where it had just rained; the runway was damp and shimmering.
Having been busy until midnight the day before and then dealing with things at the hospital with Zhao Mengyao all afternoon,
his eyelids were practically fighting to stay open from exhaustion.
The economy class seat was a bit cramped, making it uncomfortable for someone over 1.8 meters tall like him.
Fortunately, being in the front rows meant there was slightly more legroom.
Sitting next to him was a young man wearing headphones who kept his head down playing games the whole time, tapping away at the screen. The two had zero interaction.
Once the plane leveled off after its climb, the Flight Attendants began pushing the carts to serve drinks.
Lin Chen asked for a cup of mineral water and leaned back to rest with his eyes closed.
Just as he was drifting off into a daze,
a faint scent of a woman's perfume, with a hint of mature charm, wafted over.
