117: Wang Dali

“Hahaha, not bad, six enhancements, four successes!”

Su Yuan looked at the perfectly organized +1 enhanced skills, feeling great.

He looked at the evolution points on the system panel.

“evolution points: 61256 / 100000” (Increasing by devouring psionic energy)

“I’m not sleeping tonight, I’m going to continue hunting!”

Su Yuan still felt some pressure thinking about the Big Black Fish; although its evolution speed was not as fast as his, it was still astonishingly quick.

This was a menace that had to be eliminated as soon as possible.

The surrounding creatures had long since been hunted to near extinction by Su Yuan’s frenzied killing; looking around, there were hardly any fish left.

Even after the psionic energy resurgence, this place simply couldn’t sustain such hunting.

“To continue hunting, I can only enter the rivers within human towns or go to the lakes.”

Su Yuan pondered, finally deciding to go to the river inside a human town.

His battle with the Big Black Fish during the day must have attracted human attention, and there would definitely be human forces there now.

If he went there now, he would very likely be walking into a trap, and he didn't believe that he, as he was now, could contend with humans.

Even ordinary military forces were beyond his current ability to resist.

His skin could indeed ignore ordinary bullets, the Black Light Shield could even withstand typical artillery shells, and the Laser Beam could even intercept a small number of missile attacks.

But all of this was meaningless in the face of a large-scale metallic flood.

His only two relyances were the protection of the water and the complex network of Underground Dark Rivers.

These were his greatest relyances for surviving until now.

Like that Tiger King, once exposed, even if it hadn't been killed by Su Yuan, it definitely wouldn't have survived for more than a few days.

So far, humans were still the absolute overlords of the entire planet, and overwhelmingly so!

“My previous series of devouring, which involved brutally destroying underwater cameras, might have already aroused suspicion. I need to get out of here quickly.”

As Su Yuan muttered to himself, his entire body perfectly blended into the surrounding environment, and he swam at a considerable speed towards the distant town.

As he got closer to the town, the aquatic creatures gradually increased.

Su Yuan’s previous frenzied devouring hadn't consumed all the creatures; many had fled towards the town and the lake.

In the river, Large Carp, Grass Carp, Bighead Carp, and other fish, one to two meters long, began to appear in twos and threes again.

Suckerfish and Tilapia also began to appear in schools... In Ziniu Town, at the foot of the mountain on the outskirts.

A team of Security Officers was patrolling.

“A Li, I told you to rest for a few more days, why didn’t you listen and insist on returning to duty?”

A tall, slightly stout Security Officer said.

“Brother Li, haven’t I recovered already? Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come.”

Wang Dali smiled and showed off, jumping and hopping, completely fine.

“Dali, you must have taken hormones, ah. I saw it that day, you were bitten so badly. How did you recover so quickly?”

Several Security Officers looked surprised.

“I don’t know either, it just got better.”

Wang Dali smiled.

He also didn’t know if his condition was good or bad, so he hadn’t dared to speak about it.

Perhaps, his dream that day was just a dream.

His body's mutation had another cause.

But just then, he suddenly froze in place, faint whispers faintly reaching his ears.

In a trance, he seemed to see that dark area again, and in the darkness, that great outline even deeper than the darkness itself.

This time, he saw it more clearly.

Vaguely, he seemed to see something, but when he looked closely, he could still only see some outlines.

“A Li, what’s wrong?”

Just then, Wang Dali heard a voice from outside; his teammate was shaking his body.

“I’m fine, I just zoned out for a moment.”

Wang Dali completely came back to his senses and said.

“You finally woke up, you scared us to death! I told you, kid, go back and rest properly tomorrow. You suddenly stood there motionless for five or six minutes!”

“Xiao Pang has already called an ambulance, you go get a good check-up later, you really scared us to death!”

Li Feng breathed a sigh of relief; they had truly been frightened just now.

A living person, suddenly motionless for five or six minutes.

“Brother Li? You called an ambulance? I’m fine, really fine!”

Wang Dali was covered in sweat, ignoring the illusion he had just seen, and quickly explained.

“Brother Wang, don’t bother explaining. Isn’t it good to get some rest? We’ve been fighting monsters every day these past few days.”

A young Security Officer said with an envious look.

Just then, Wang Dali’s ears twitched, and he shouted, “Quiet down, there’s movement.”

The team of Security Officers didn’t ask any further, immediately quieted down, and nervously formed a circle, back to back.

“A Li…”

Li Feng was about to ask.

In the night sky, a wisp of dark cloud drifted over, shrouding the bright moon, and the night grew even darker.

In the darkness, a figure suddenly darted out from the dense woods at the foot of the mountain, pouncing directly on a Security Officer.

The figure’s speed was too fast; the Security Officer didn’t even have time to fire his gun before he was tackled to the ground.

It was a wildcat, but unusually large, even bigger than an average tiger. It bit down on the young Security Officer and ran towards the mountain.

“Xiao Pang!”

The Security Officers reacted, their eyes splitting with rage, and they gave chase, not daring to shoot for fear of hurting Xiao Pang.

But just then, a figure burst out with astonishing speed, rushing from the side and catching up to the wildcat!

“It’s A Li!”

Li Feng was startled, recognizing the figure.

Wang Dali sped through the mountain forest, quickly catching up to the wildcat and kicking it.

A hint of surprise flashed in the wildcat’s cold eyes; it hadn't expected such a formidable individual among the creatures it had easily preyed on these past few days.

It released the prey from its mouth and, with the astonishing agility of a feline, easily leaped backward, dodging Wang Dali’s kick.

The next instant, the wildcat pushed off with its hind legs, its entire body lightly springing forward. The claws extended from its paws were over ten centimeters long, like sharp knives.

There was no doubt that one swipe would at least break a person's bones!

Wang Dali’s expression changed. He stomped his foot on the ground, his whole body retreating backward, avoiding the wildcat’s sharp attack.

However, the wildcat, having gained the upper hand, pressed its attack, its four legs on the ground, erupting with astonishing speed.

Wary of the wildcat’s sharp claws, Wang Dali retreated again and again. Unbeknownst to him, a huge rock blocked his retreat.

The wildcat’s pupils fixated on Wang Dali, and it leaped forward, its front paws already revealing sharp claws.

“A Li!”

The Security Officers watched this scene, shouting anxiously from afar.

“Get lost!”

In a life-or-death crisis, Wang Dali’s pupils contracted to pinpricks. In a trance, he seemed to see that great figure again.

Wang Dali kicked out, the power within his body surging forth like a gushing spring!

Wang Dali’s kick narrowly grazed the wildcat’s sharp claws and landed on its head, sending the wildcat flying sideways!

“What?!”

Wang Dali himself was startled; his kick had actually sent a beast larger than a tiger flying!

The Security Officers rushing over from afar were also somewhat dumbfounded.

“Beast, die for me!”

Li Feng, ignoring his surprise, raised his gun and unleashed a volley of shots at the wildcat lying on the ground, emptying his magazine.

The loud gunshots echoed far into the dark, dense woods.

Wang Dali watched this scene, then relaxed, realizing his heart was pounding powerfully.

“Xiao Pang? This looks like an arterial injury, quickly stop the bleeding!”

The Security Officers found the young Security Officer lying on the ground, their faces changing.

The Security Officers quickly tore off their clothes to give the young Security Officer emergency first aid.

The scent of blood permeated the mountain forest, gradually attracting some attention.

“A Li, did you really take hormones? You’re too fierce! A beast that big, and you dealt with it bare-handed!”

A middle-aged Security Officer exclaimed with admiration.

“Shh!”

Wang Dali’s expression was grave; he sensed malevolent gazes.

“Let’s go down the mountain immediately. Xiao Pang is bleeding, which will attract these beasts. I’ll carry Xiao Pang, and we’ll head down.”

Li Feng directly carried the young Security Officer on his back. Several Security Officers stood to his left and right to protect him, and Wang Dali also ran over to cover the rear.

In the darkness, a figure crawled along the ground.

Wang Dali stared with wide eyes, able to vaguely make out some objects in the darkness. He aimed his gun at the ground and fired fiercely.

“A Li?”

Hearing the gunshots from behind, the Security Officers in front abruptly turned their heads.

“Don’t worry about it, go!”

Wang Dali shouted, his gaze fixed on the mountain forest in the darkness, where some outlines flickered in and out of view.
