68: Big snail

Several Security Officers suddenly saw A Li's body, which seemed to be pushed over by a force.

They were both surprised and delighted, and quickly swam over to catch A Li.

Soon, all the Security Officers evacuated the area, but before leaving, they designated the river as a dangerous area, prohibiting the public from approaching.

In the river water, a huge shadow loomed. Su Yuan gazed deeply at A Li, who was being taken away, feeling somewhat surprised because he seemed to show no signs of madness.

He had previously used it on unconscious creatures, which still made them go mad and wake up, chaotic and frenzied.

But this time, this problem did not seem to occur.

"Wang Dali, I have high expectations for you."

Su Yuan looked into the distance, with a faint feeling in his heart, and murmured to himself... Inside the Security Officer's vehicle, several Security Officers nervously bandaged Wang Dali while rushing to the clinic.

"Faster! Even faster!"

"His foot is still bleeding, use my clothes to bandage him!"

In a coma, Wang Dali vaguely found himself in a place of Chaos.

It was dark and lightless, seemingly a place of dark Chaos beyond human imagination.

But in such a dark zone, a magnificent figure, even deeper and darker than the surrounding darkness, vaguely stood!

Vaguely, he seemed to hear a whisper, eerie and profound. The sound transcended human cognition, seeming to contain immense profound truths, expounding the truths of the Universe, and also like an echo from the darkness.

Time lost its meaning here.

After an unknown period, Wang Dali vaguely left this dark place of Chaos.

He woke up.

Opening his eyes, he saw a pristine white ceiling. His gaze scanned around, and he found himself lying in a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown.

"Is this a hospital?"

He recalled everything that had happened before, struggling to get up, but felt no pain.

This astonished him a bit; that ferocious big fish earlier had bitten his entire foot, its sharp teeth completely embedded in his flesh and blood, so how could he feel nothing now?

Not only that, but he also had an illusion that his body was full of strength.

Feeling this, he directly pulled out the needle in his hand and got out of bed.

He took a few steps; he felt no discomfort at all, walking naturally and smoothly, with only a slight pain.

Wang Dali sat on the bed, looking at his left foot. The wound there had already scabbed over, and it looked like it would heal very soon.

"What's going on? Did I faint for a long time?"

Wang Dali was a bit confused. He picked up the phone next to him and saw that it was July 12th, the day after he was bitten by the big fish.

"Only one day has passed? Then the healing speed of this wound is too fast! Or did I remember wrong? I wasn't bitten very badly?"

As Wang Dali was muttering to himself, the door was pushed open.

"A Li, why are you standing up?! Lie down quickly, you're badly injured!"

Just then, several Security Officers walked in. Seeing Wang Dali sitting up, they were startled and rushed over.

"Badly injured? No, I only have a scabbed wound on my foot."

Wang Dali said, stood up, walked a few steps easily, and even showed his left foot to them.

"Hmm? It really scabbed over?"

The Security Officers looked, and a hint of shock appeared in their eyes.

"No way, I really saw it before, A Li's foot was bitten to a bloody mess!"

"I saw it too, the whole piece of flesh was turned out, how is it scabbed over now?"

A Security Officer smiled and patted Wang Dali, saying, "A Li, that's impressive. When did you secretly train your body to have such strong recovery?"

Although the Security Officers were surprised, they didn't think much of it.

"I didn't secretly go to train my body..."

As they talked, they got to the main topic.

They had already reported the big fish incident in the river to their superiors, who had issued an order to fully cordon off the entire river, prohibiting the public from approaching.

At the same time, the superiors would issue a batch of equipment, requiring them to monitor the situation in the river and eliminate some highly threatening creatures.

After chatting for a few sentences and leaving some fruit, the Security Officers left.

As for Wang Dali's idea of being discharged, they rejected it, telling him to rest for a few more days.

In the ward, Wang Dali, alone, looked at his palm. With a slight exertion, he could feel astonishing power surging.

Even without a dynamometer test, he could feel that his strength had become much greater.

Wang Dali felt incredible; all of this happened after he was injured.

He recalled his previous dream; calling it a dream, yet everything was incredibly clear, deeply etched in his mind.

He recalled that great and profound figure, and couldn't help but tremble, an uncontrollable surge of worship and fanaticism welling up from the depths of his heart.

"My sudden power and recovery ability should be related to this dream, and perhaps even my survival is due to it!"

Wang Dali's eyes flickered. He thought of what his colleagues said: he had suddenly appeared, and there were no other creatures around at the time.

What exactly was all this about?

Was he chosen by some great existence?

Also, the mutations in this river, and the special regulations issued by the superiors—all these things indicated that this world was no longer the same!

"I don't need to think too much about other things for now. This powerful strength should help me to be more proficient in my upcoming work."

Wang Dali thought to himself... After seeing Wang Dali taken away, Su Yuan also began his own devouring.

Eight terrifying tentacles, like prehistoric pythons, swept through the surrounding waters, and the ferocious Claws easily skewered fish and shrimp.

[You devoured a Carp, gaining 11.2 evolution points.]

[You devoured a Blackfish, gaining 6.8 evolution points.]

[You devoured a Grass Carp, gaining 12 evolution points.]

...In this river, where no one approached, no one knew that a giant abyss-mouth had opened, frantically devouring the surrounding fish and shrimp.

Whether it was the small Goby, the extremely fast Reeves Shad, or the ferocious Blackfish and Mandarin Fish, none could escape Su Yuan's clutches.

Even some Pond Snails, shellfish, and so on.

With the hardness of Su Yuan's beak, even the shells of evolved Pond Snails and other shellfish creatures could not withstand its bite.

Pond Snails were something Su Yuan used to quite like, but eating them easily caused internal heat and acne, so he always restrained himself.

Now that he had become an octopus, he didn't need to worry about internal heat or anything, so he naturally wanted to eat his fill.

[You ate a Pond Snail, gaining...]

...Just as Su Yuan was eating happily.

Suddenly, the mud at the bottom of the river trembled. Then, to Su Yuan's astonishment, a giant Pond Snail over three meters long crawled out.

This large Pond Snail was dark brown all over, and its entire shell exuded a metallic luster, like a creation of steel!

Its tiny eyes were filled with a coldness as it looked at Su Yuan, clearly very angry.
