490: Dark clouds covered the heavens, and Di Ting was petrified!
"Di Ting, have you heard anything!"
"I have heard it, but I dare not say!" Di Ting answered honestly: "The Three Realms do indeed have a great tribulation, but it is not really a 'great' tribulation!"
"Di Ting, speak clearly. What do you mean by 'there is a great tribulation' but 'it is not a great tribulation'?" King Guang of Qin said.
"It simply means... the tribulation must be endured, the suffering must be suffered. The Three Realms will suffer, but once it is over, it will pass." Di Ting said: "With those two masters holding it up, the sky will not fall."
As soon as he finished speaking, he fell on his back with his four legs in the air, his body stiff and motionless. Only his eyeballs could move slightly.
He was terrified in his heart: "Oh no, I didn't say anything, I really didn't say anything! Great Heavenly Venerate, spare me! My mouth is very tight, I didn't say anything!"
The Ten Kings of Yama looked at Di Ting, who had turned into a stone statue on his back, and all gasped in unison.
This was the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. To petrify Di Ting right in front of him without a sound—what kind of cultivation was this, and what kind of magic power was this?
"Di Ting leaked heavenly secrets that some existences do not allow to be revealed!" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's expression was very gloomy.
In their world, the Buddha of Lingshan is the absolute Dominator.
If not for the monk's sake, one must look at the Buddha's; he, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, is the head of the four great Bodhisattvas under the Buddha's seat.
His mount, Di Ting, also has a great reputation within the Three Realms.
To show such a lack of Face, by directly making a move in secret, is going too far! He suddenly turned his head and opened his Wisdom Eye again.
Following Di Ting's Qi, he scanned outward. Then, a majestic, brilliant, and extremely noble purple imperial Qi crashed down from the sky, ignoring the barriers of time and space, and accurately struck Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Wisdom Eye Divine Ability!
"Pfft—!"
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was struck hard, the Buddha light around him dimmed violently, his Face instantly turned pale, and a mouthful of golden Buddha blood gushed out, staining the lotus throne beneath him red.
His eyes were filled with unbelievable shock and pain.
"The Heavenly Purple Qi... so overbearing! So strong!"
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's aura withered; he hurriedly restrained his mind, closed his eyes to heal, and dared not easily pry into heavenly secrets again.
He was horrified in his heart. The Heavenly Emperor's power far exceeded his expectations. How could it be this strong? Even the Buddha did not give him such a terrifying feeling.
A mere unintentional prying had invited such a fierce counterattack!
The Three Realms, Thirty-Three Heavens.
The originally clear and peaceful sky was covered without warning by boundless, pitch-black devilish clouds!
These devilish clouds were not ordinary dark clouds; within them rolled scarlet, blood-colored lightning, permeating an aura of corruption, destruction, and ending that terrified immortals and Buddhas.
It rose from the deepest part of the Nine Netherworlds, spreading rapidly, obscuring the sun, moon, and stars, and covering all airspace from the first layer of heaven to the Thirty-Three Heavens!
Throughout the Heavenly Court, the light of the immortal palaces and divine towers dimmed rapidly, the immortal music stopped abruptly, and the auspicious clouds were stained with an ink-black color.
Countless immortal officials, heavenly soldiers, and attendants looked up at the sky in a panic, their minds seized by the oppressive devilish clouds and boundless fear.
Outside the Hall of Miraculous Mist, the on-duty Clairvoyant and Clairaudient rushed into the hall in a panic, their voices trembling uncontrollably:
"Report—Report to Your Majesty! The sky... the sky has gone dark! Endless devilish clouds cover the Thirty-Three Heavens! The... Devilish Qi has reached outside the South Heaven Gate!"
Lu Jiuyuan sat upright on the throne, his expression calm; he even had the leisure to tidy up the cuffs of his imperial robe.
"It has finally arrived." He whispered to himself, as if a guest he had been waiting for had finally arrived.
As soon as the words fell!
"Boom!!!"
Boundless darkness surged into the hall like a tide, fiercely clashing with the remaining immortal light, emitting a "sizzling" sound of corrosion.
From the depths of the darkness, a figure slowly emerged.
He was cloaked in black robes, his long hair disheveled, his Face handsome yet pale, with a point of eerie light circulating between his brows.
He stepped on a phantom of a black lotus, his whole body radiating a terrifying aura that commanded all demons and ended everything.
It was the Dominator of the Demonic Path of this world, the Demon Buddha who was about to overturn the Three Realms, No Heaven!
"Jade Emperor, long time no see!"
"No Heaven? Kinnara? How should I address you!" Lu Jiuyuan asked.
"Kinnara is already in the past; you had better call me No Heaven! No Law... No Heaven!"
"No Law, No Heaven! But I am Heaven! I do not object to you opposing Tathagata, but why did you change your name to target me?"
"A name is just a code name." No Heaven's voice was low:
"What is important is that the position you are sitting in should change hands starting today.
The Three Realms have long been plagued by deep-seated ills, Lingshan is corrupt, and the Heavenly Court is incompetent; it needs a thorough cleansing, and I am the one to whom the Mandate of Heaven points."
He stepped forward, his demonic might surging like a tide, oppressing every inch of space in the hall.
The darkness was almost about to swallow the faint layer of golden imperial light on Lu Jiuyuan.
"The Mandate of Heaven?" Lu Jiuyuan suddenly chuckled, leaning forward slightly, resting his elbows on the armrests of the throne, propping up his chin, and looking at No Heaven with great interest, "What kind of Mandate of Heaven? Is it the 'Mandate of Heaven' that Tathagata told you about, or the 'Mandate of Heaven' that you decided for yourself?"
No Heaven's eyes suddenly became sharp, and the Devilish Qi around him surged: "What do you know?"
"I don't know much," Lu Jiuyuan said in a relaxed tone, "For example, I know you were once a Disciple of Upali, Kinnara, holding the position of a Bodhisattva, possessing great wisdom and great compassion.
I also know that because of a woman named Ashu, you questioned the Buddha Dharma, betrayed Lingshan, obtained the world-destroying black lotus, and vowed to reorganize the order of the Three Realms with the Demonic Path."
Every time he spoke, the Devilish Qi on No Heaven fluctuated; in those pitch-black eyes, there seemed to be pain, anger, and deeper obsession churning.
"I even know that Tathagata told you, 'This is fate'."
No Heaven was silent, and the surrounding darkness seemed to solidify for a moment.
"Fate..." No Heaven repeated slowly, the corners of his mouth curling into a cold and mocking arc:
"He said everything is fate. The rise of demons and the decline of the Dao in the Thirty-Three Heavens is fate, his entry into Reincarnation is fate, and when he returns, my ultimate death and disappearance is also fate! Hahaha..."
He suddenly laughed, his laughter filled with sorrow and arrogance.
