134: Chapter 134 Accumulating in Secret!
...
Meanwhile...
Hundreds of miles away from the Yunjian Mountain Range, deep within Mushou Mountain, a different scene of blood and gore was unfolding.
After the Dafeng Mountains and Qingfeng Mountains merged, the name remained primarily the Dafeng Mountains, but many also referred to it directly as Mushou Mountain.
The Spiritual Qi here was abundant, ancient trees reached for the sky, and the terrain was treacherous.
Inside a deep canyon.
Over a hundred massive Gale Wolves had firmly blocked the canyon's exit.
In the center of the pack, a Level 3 Wolf King with dark green fur bared its fangs, letting out a low growl from its throat.
Opposite the wolf pack stood two figures.
One was a badger over ten feet tall, covered in purple thunder patterns; its arms were thick and sturdy, and its sharp claws flickered with arcs of cold lightning.
Perched on the badger's shoulder was a rat demon with exposed spinal spikes and fur that was a deep red, almost black. These two beasts were none other than...
Shi Jian's subordinates: Thunder Badger on the left and Elder Rat on the right!
"Wolf cub, you're refusing a toast only to drink a forfeit."
Elder Rat stroked his whiskers, a cold light flashing in his narrow eyes.
"The Old Ancestor has spoken. Within these eight hundred miles of Mushou Mountain, all of the Yao Race must follow the rules. Submit, or die."
"Wolf cub, take your pick!"
The Gale Wolf King let out an angry roar, its front paw violently smashing a massive boulder to pieces.
It had reigned supreme in this mountain range for decades. Why should it become a dog for some bullshit Old Ancestor who appeared out of nowhere?
"Awoo—!"
The Wolf King howled to the heavens. In the next instant, over a hundred Gale Wolves charged from all directions, turning into streaks of green gale as they lunged to kill Thunder Badger and Elder Rat.
"Courting death."
Elder Rat sneered, his figure flashing as he vanished into the ground.
Thunder Badger grinned wide, letting out a deafening, wild roar.
His thick legs suddenly exerted force, and his massive body became like a lightning meteor, slamming violently into the wolf pack.
Boom!
Violent lightning erupted from Thunder Badger's body, transforming into a dense web of thunder that instantly enveloped a radius of dozens of yards.
The dozen or so Gale Wolves charging at the front didn't even have time to scream before they were charred black by the lightning and scattered across the ground.
Thunder Badger swung his arms, his sharp claws tearing through flesh.
With every claw strike, a Gale Wolf was disemboweled or sliced in half at the waist, spraying blood and organs across the canyon.
He had also Cultivated the Thunder Induction Art bestowed by Shi Jian. His Physical Body was incomparably powerful; the attacks of ordinary Yao Beasts couldn't even scratch his fur.
Seeing this, a hint of fear flashed in the Wolf King's eyes.
Yet, unwilling to submit just like that, its ferocity flared. It lunged forward, aiming directly for Thunder Badger's throat, intending to kill this pest!
Thunder Badger didn't dodge or evade, allowing the giant wolf to pounce.
"Roar!"
Seizing the opportunity, Thunder Badger let out a hiss and grabbed the Wolf King's head in a vice-like grip. Then, muzzle to muzzle, he violently funneled a bolt of lightning into the Wolf King's body!
With a loud bang, the flesh was instantly carbonized.
Flesh and organs exploded outward, splattering chunks of meat and drops of blood everywhere...
The Gale Wolf King died on the spot!
With the Wolf King dead, the remaining Gale Wolves instantly broke ranks, whimpering as they fled in all directions.
"Don't bother chasing them."
Elder Rat crawled out of a hole in the ground and brushed the dirt off his body.
Thunder Badger licked the corner of his mouth as if he hadn't had enough, then tossed the Wolf King's corpse onto the ground.
"Skin this Wolf King, dig out its Yao Core, seal the Physical Body with Ice Talismans, and put it all into a Storage Pouch."
Elder Rat directed several rat demons that had emerged from the ground to clean up the battlefield.
"A Level 3 Yao Core is worth a lot and can be exchanged for many Cultivation resources. This fur is also excellent Material for refining Dharma Robes."
After saying this, Elder Rat turned around to see several Level 2 and Level 3 Yao Beast leaders; they were all the strongest members of their respective tribes.
"Did you all see clearly?"
Elder Rat's eyes swept over the gathered beasts, his voice sharp and piercing.
"This is the consequence of not following the rules!"
The beasts prostrated themselves on the ground, not daring to make another sound.
"The Old Ancestor is merciful and has left you a path to live."
"From today on, Mushou Mountain will be divided into inner and outer sections. There are thirty-six mountain peaks; go and claim a territory according to your respective tribes."
"In the future, breed and Cultivate in peace."
An elderly Level 3 Green Ape asked boldly:
"Elder Rat..."
"If we submit, what price must we pay?"
"A price? You think too highly of yourselves."
"The Old Ancestor protects you not because he wants anything from you."
"The Old Ancestor is benevolent and virtuous, with the Yao Race in his heart. That is why he lies low under the Human Race's rule, to help you and negotiate with the humans on your behalf, simply to leave a place for the Yao Race to live in peace."
"In the future, the corpses of your tribesmen who die of old age, illness, or in battle must be handed over collectively, so we can give the Human Race an explanation."
A commotion broke out among the beasts.
They couldn't believe that a Saint Yao could actually emerge from their Yao Race!
"You don't need to panic, and you don't need to think this is a trap."
"By handing over the corpses, the Old Ancestor will exchange them with the Human Race for Medicinal Pills, Spiritual Plants, and Cultivation Techniques, and then reward these resources to your cubs and the powerhouses of your tribes!"
"Deceased tribesmen will be traded for more resources, making the best use of everything."
"Use dead husks to trade for a living future; use the Human Race's resources to nourish our Yao Race's Bloodline!"
"This is the rule set by the Old Ancestor!"
The beasts were stunned. They had originally thought that submitting meant becoming slaves to be slaughtered at will.
They never expected that this Yao Race Old Ancestor would use such a method to give back to them—a survival Law that was cruel yet extremely rational.
A flash of realization appeared in the Green Ape's eyes as it bowed its head in submission:
"The Green Ape tribe is willing to follow the Old Ancestor's commands!"
With a leader taking the initiative, the remaining Yao Beast leaders followed suit, swearing their loyalty in unison.
Elder Rat nodded in satisfaction. The Old Ancestor's rhetoric of righteousness was practically invincible against these simple-minded Yao Beasts.
"Commander Thunder Badger."
"What's up?"
"I'll leave the matters here to you. Divide the territories according to the register. Anyone who dares to cross the borders, kill them directly and sell them for money to trade for resources."
"Understood. Safe travels, Elder Rat."
Thunder Badger took the Jade Slip, feeling a sense of purpose. The Old Ancestor sending him to garrison this place meant he was trusted and being groomed as a confidant.
He was to be the Old Ancestor's Incarnation extended into this land!

Mushou Mountain, southeast direction, three hundred yards underground.
This was a massive underground world that never saw the light of day.
Countless intricate tunnels were woven together like a spiderweb, spreading into the depths of the entire mountain range.
Luminous stones were embedded in the stone walls of the tunnels, lighting up the underground as bright as day.
Thousands of enormous rats were busy in the tunnels, swinging their sharp claws to excavate pieces of spiritual Ore and packing them into specialized Storage Pouches.
This was the deepest hidden secret of Mushou Mountain.
After the Dafeng Mountains and Qingfeng Mountains merged, the earth veins shifted, squeezing out a surprisingly large second-rank Dark Iron vein and a small third-rank Red Gold vein.
While White Cloud Temple's official exploration team hadn't even touched the edges, Elder Rat's underground army had already hollowed out half of the veins' core area.
Elder Rat shuttled through the tunnels, inspecting his domain.
These spiritual Ores were Shi Jian's most core source of wealth.
