104: Chapter 104 What will happen to them if you fall?

"When you were in the USA, how many hours did you sleep a day?" Song Tianhao asked.

"Three or four hours," Min Sunye said. "Sometimes even less. We had to train, shoot MVs, appear on shows, study English... There wasn't enough time, so we just had to cut back on sleep."

"That's why your bodies broke down, and your minds did too," Song Tianhao said.

Min Sunye didn't speak.

"Min Sunye," Song Tianhao looked at her. "From now on, your task is not a comeback, not training, not work. Your task is only one thing: live well. Eat, sleep, be happy. Can you do that?"

Min Sunye raised her head, her eyes red.

"But... I am the leader, I have to be responsible for them..."

"You being like this is what's irresponsible to them," Song Tianhao interrupted her. "If you collapse, what will happen to them? What will happen to WG?"

Min Sunye bit her lip.

"Listen well," Song Tianhao leaned forward, looking into her eyes. "At Sky, a leader isn't for shouldering responsibilities; it's for leading. But the prerequisite for leading is that you yourself must stand firm. You can't even stand steadily right now, so how can you lead them?"

He took a bottle of vitamins out of his pocket and placed it on the table.

"This was prescribed by Doctor Li, for sleep aid and vitamin supplements. Two pills a day, after meals." He paused, then added, "If there comes a day when you feel you can't hold on anymore, you can take four. But I hope that day never comes."

Min Sunye picked up the bottle of vitamins.

The bottle was small, with a handwritten label: "Two pills a day, take four when you want to die."

Her tears fell down, landing on the bottle.

"President..."

"Are you done eating?" Song Tianhao asked.

"I... I'm done."

"Then go change your clothes and go to the hospital."

"Yes."

Min Sunye got up and went upstairs, but halfway there, she turned back.

"President," she said, "thank you."

Song Tianhao waved his hand. "Hurry up, we're going to be late."

Min Sunye wiped away her tears and ran upstairs.

Ten minutes later, she came downstairs dressed in simple T-shirt and jeans, her hair tied in a ponytail, wearing no makeup.

Song Tianhao looked at her and nodded. "That's good. Let's go."

The two walked out of the Villa and got into the car.

On the way to the hospital, Min Sunye kept looking out the window.

"President," she suddenly spoke up, "why are you so good to us?"

"Because you are worth it," Song Tianhao said.

"But we failed."

"So what if you failed?" Song Tianhao turned the steering wheel. "Who says people can't fail? If you fail, you get back up, brush off the dirt, and keep walking. Why doesn't your company understand such a simple truth?"

Min Sunye didn't speak.

"With me," Song Tianhao continued, "failure is allowed, mistakes are allowed, crying is allowed, being tired is allowed. But giving up is not allowed. If you give up, that's when I'd truly look down on you."

The car stopped at the entrance of Seoul National University Hospital.

Manager Jang was already waiting, and seeing them get out of the car, he immediately came up to greet them.

"President, the other four have already gone in and are at the health check-up center on the second floor."

"Good." Song Tianhao nodded and said to Min Sunye, "Follow Manager Jang, he will take you. I will wait outside; call me if you need anything."

"President, aren't you coming in?" Min Sunye asked.

"No, you'll feel more pressure if I go in," Song Tianhao said. "Relax, just treat it like a regular check-up."

Min Sunye nodded and followed Manager Jang into the hospital.

Song Tianhao stood at the hospital entrance and lit a cigarette.

After taking just two puffs, his phone rang.

It was Park So-yeon.

"Oppa," her voice was very soft. "How are Sunye and the others?"

"They're having a check-up," Song Tianhao said. "How did you know I was at the hospital?"

"I guessed," Park So-yeon laughed. "Knowing your personality, you would definitely take them there personally. How is it? Is Sunye okay?"

"Not very good," Song Tianhao said truthfully. "She has a wrist injury, takes sleeping pills, and is under a lot of mental stress."

There was silence on the other end of the line for a few seconds.

"Oppa," Park So-yeon's voice dropped. "You have to save her."

"I will."

"I don't mean just saying it, you really need to save her," Park So-yeon said. "She is too much like me; we both shoulder all the responsibility ourselves, and we both feel we don't deserve to be loved. Oppa, you have to hold onto her, don't let her fall."

"I know," Song Tianhao said. "How are things on your end?"

"Me? I'm doing great," Park So-yeon's voice became cheerful again. "I'm practicing singing right now; we're recording a new song next week. Oh right, Taeyeon said she wants to treat WG to dinner tonight to welcome them back. What do you think?"

"That's fine, but don't go out, eat at home," Song Tianhao said. "They aren't in a state to see too many people right now."

"Understood, then I'll have Taeyeon come over to my place, and I'll cook."

"You can cook?"

"Of course, I'm a virtuous wife and good mother," Park So-yeon laughed. "But, Oppa, are you coming?"

"We'll see. They might be tired after the check-up and need to rest."

"Okay, we'll talk then."

Hanging up the phone, Song Tianhao extinguished his cigarette and walked into the hospital.

He sat in the first-floor lounge, opened his laptop, and continued processing emails.

He looked through the emails one by one, mostly regarding company business. T-ara's new song production progress, Girls Generation's schedule arrangements, and several variety show and script offers. He replied to them one by one, methodically.

Two hours later, Manager Jang came down with the five of them.

The five of them didn't look very well, and they were all holding thick medical reports.

"President," Manager Jang walked to Song Tianhao's side and lowered his voice. "The situation... isn't very good. All five have varying degrees of malnutrition; Min Sunye is the most severe, with anemia, stomach ulcers, and neurasthenia. Ahn Sohee has mild depression, Kim Yu-bin has cervical spine issues, Park Yeeun has knee strain, Woo Hyerim..."

"Give me the conclusion directly," Song Tianhao interrupted him.

"The doctor recommends at least three months of rest, during which no high-intensity training is allowed," Manager Jang said. "Especially for Min Sunye, who needs to be hospitalized for observation for a week."

Song Tianhao looked at Min Sunye.

Min Sunye kept her head down, her fingers gripping the medical report tightly.

"No hospitalization," she said.

"Min Sunye," Song Tianhao called her full name. "This is not a discussion, it's an order."

"I said, no hospitalization," Min Sunye raised her head, her eyes red-rimmed. "I don't have time to be hospitalized, we have to train, have to make a comeback, have to..."

"You are going to die," Song Tianhao said calmly.

Min Sunye froze.

Song Tianhao stood up, walked in front of her, took the medical report from her hand, and flipped to the last page.

"Anemia, hemoglobin is too low. Stomach ulcers, the endoscopy shows three ulcer points, one of which is large enough to require surgery. Neurasthenia, the doctor says your current mental state could collapse at any moment."

He looked up, looking into Min Sunye's eyes. "You still want to train? You still want to make a comeback? Min Sunye, do you not want your life anymore?"

Min Sunye's lips were trembling.

"I... I can hold on..."

"I don't want you to hold on," Song Tianhao said. "I want you to live."

He shoved the medical report back into her hand, turned to Manager Jang, and said, "Handle the hospitalization procedures, VIP ward. Tell the doctor to use the best medicine and hire the best nurses. Money is not an issue."

"Yes." Manager Jang nodded.

"Wait." Min Sunye grabbed Song Tianhao's sleeve. "President, I really can't be hospitalized. If I'm hospitalized, what will happen to them? What will happen to WG?"

"WG isn't just you alone," Song Tianhao looked at her. "Ahn Sohee, Kim Yu-bin, Park Yeeun, Woo Hyerim, they are also WG. You aren't that important; if you're missing, the earth will still keep spinning."

This was harsh, so harsh that Min Sunye's face turned pale instantly.

"President!" Ahn Sohee couldn't help but speak up.

Song Tianhao ignored her and continued looking at Min Sunye. "So, don't think of yourself as too important. Focus on staying in the hospital and getting treated. When you are better, WG will still be WG. But if you collapse, WG will truly be gone. Don't you understand this logic?"

Min Sunye's tears fell.

"I understand... but..."

"No 'buts'," Song Tianhao said. "Manager Jang, go handle the procedures."

"Yes." Manager Jang turned to leave.

"Wait." Min Sunye called him back again.

She wiped away her tears and looked at Song Tianhao. "President, I can be hospitalized, but they must accompany me."

"They also need treatment," Song Tianhao said. "But they don't need to be hospitalized, just come over to accompany you for two hours every day."

"And training..."

"I said, three months of rest, no training during that time." Song Tianhao looked at the other four. "The same goes for you. For these three months, your task is to eat, sleep, and play. If you want to go home to see your family, the company will arrange it. If you want to play in Seoul, the company will reimburse you. In short, don't let me see you appear in the practice room."

"But..." Kim Yu-bin wanted to say something.

"No 'buts'," Song Tianhao interrupted her. "This is an order."

The four lowered their heads and didn't speak anymore.

Only then did Song Tianhao soften his tone. "Alright, Min Sunye will go to be hospitalized, and you four go back to the dormitory. Starting tomorrow, come to the hospital to keep her company every day from two to four in the afternoon. Free time otherwise."

"Yes..." the four replied softly.

"Manager Jang, take Min Sunye to handle the procedures," Song Tianhao said. "I'm going to go talk to the attending physician."

"Yes."

Manager Jang took Min Sunye to handle the hospitalization procedures, with the other four following.

Song Tianhao went to the doctor's office.

The attending physician was a middle-aged man in his fifties, wearing glasses, looking very kind.

"President Song, please sit," the doctor handed him a report. "This is the psychological assessment result for Min Sunye. The preliminary judgment is moderate depression accompanied by anxiety disorder, with self-destructive tendencies. It requires simultaneous medication and psychological intervention."

"Can it be cured?" Song Tianhao asked.

"Yes, but it takes time and her cooperation," the doctor said. "The most critical thing is to let her put down her psychological burden. From her assessment, she pushes herself too hard and always feels everything is her fault. If this mindset doesn't change, taking medicine is useless."

Song Tianhao nodded. "I understand. You have full authority regarding the treatment, don't worry about the costs. I only have one requirement: make her better."

"I will do my best," the doctor paused, then added, "But President Song, I don't know if I should say this."

"Please speak."

"Min Sunye's illness is rooted in her heart," the doctor pushed up his glasses. "Medicine can treat the body, but not the heart. What can treat her heart is not the doctor, but the people around her."

Song Tianhao was silent for a few seconds, then nodded. "I understand. Thank you."

He got up, left the office, and walked to the inpatient department.

The VIP ward was on the top floor and was very quiet. Min Sunye had already changed into a hospital gown and was sitting on the bed, dazed. Ahn Sohee and the others were sitting on the sofa nearby, and no one was speaking.

Seeing Song Tianhao enter, the five looked up at the same time.

"President..." Min Sunye called out softly.

"Rest well," Song Tianhao walked to the bedside, took the bottle of vitamins from his pocket, and placed it on the nightstand. "Remember to take your medicine on time. I'll come to see you again tonight."

After saying this, he turned to leave.

"President." Min Sunye called him back again.

Song Tianhao turned back.

"I'm sorry," Min Sunye kept her head down. "I've caused you trouble."

"It's no trouble," Song Tianhao said. "You resting well and recovering is the greatest thanks you can give me."

He walked out of the ward and gently closed the door.

Outside the door, Manager Jang was waiting for him.

"President, what's next..."

"Back to the company," Song Tianhao said. "Have the lawyers prepare; I want to sue JYP."

Manager Jang was stunned. "Sue? Sue for what?"

"Abuse of artists, violation of labor laws, mental damages," Song Tianhao said while walking. "Find the evidence from their medical reports and psychological assessments. I want JYP to issue a public apology and pay compensation."

"But President, wouldn't that be too..."

"Too what? Too ruthless?" Song Tianhao stopped walking and looked at Manager Jang. "Manager Jang, do you think I'm being ruthless to them?"

"No... it's not..."

"I'm ruthless to them because I want to save them," Song Tianhao said. "But JYP is ruthless to them because they only treat them as money-making tools. When a tool breaks, they throw it away and get a new one. For people like that, if I don't sue them, I'd be doing a disservice to the 15 billion KRW I spent."

Manager Jang couldn't speak.

"Go handle it," Song Tianhao said. "I want to see results within three months."

"Yes." Manager Jang nodded.

The two entered the elevator.

The moment the elevator door closed, Song Tianhao took one last look in the direction of the ward.

Through the crack in the door, Min Sunye was still sitting on the bed, head down, shoulders trembling slightly.

It looked like she was crying.

At two in the morning, Song Tianhao finished dealing with company matters and returned to the hospital.

The inpatient department was very quiet, with only a few night lights on in the hallway. He walked to the door of the VIP ward and found that light was still shining through the crack in the door.

Min Sunye wasn't asleep yet.

He knocked on the door gently.

The crying inside stopped abruptly.

"It's me," Song Tianhao said.

There was no response.

"I'll count to three; if you don't open the door, I'm going to pick the lock," Song Tianhao said. "One, two..."

The door opened.

Min Sunye was wearing a hospital gown, her eyes red and swollen, with tear stains still on her face.

"Pre... President..."

Song Tianhao walked into the ward and closed the door.

"Why aren't you asleep yet?"
