117: Chapter 117 The girls' voices rose and fell.
A few days later, at Song Tianhao's Villa. The morning sunlight poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the living room, spreading a warm golden hue across the floor.
From the kitchen came the "sizzling" sound of frying eggs, along with a woman's soft humming.
Min Sunye was wearing Song Tianhao's shirt, sleeves rolled up to her elbows, standing in front of the stove frying eggs. The shirt was too big for her, the hem hanging down to her thighs, revealing her smooth legs.
Her hair was casually tied into a ponytail, with a few stray strands hanging by her ears, swaying gently with her movements.
Ahn Sohee was helping nearby, taking milk and juice out of the refrigerator.
She was also wearing Song Tianhao's clothes, a grey hoodie, with sleeves long enough to cover half her palms. Her hair was damp, looking as if she had just showered, and her skin glowed with a healthy radiance in the morning light.
"Unnie, should I toast some bread?" Ahn Sohee asked, her voice still carrying the laziness of having just woken up.
"Mm, four slices will do." Min Sunye said without turning her head, using a spatula to flip the eggs in the pan. "Oppa should be waking up soon; he usually gets up at 7:30."
"Got it." Ahn Sohee took the bread from the cupboard, put it into the toaster, and pressed the switch. She leaned against the kitchen counter, watching Min Sunye's busy back, and suddenly smiled.
"What are you smiling at?" Min Sunye asked.
"Nothing," Ahn Sohee said, her eyes curving into crescents, "I just think you look... very pretty like this. Like a newlywed wife making breakfast for her husband."
Min Sunye's hand paused for a moment, her ears turning slightly red.
"Don't talk nonsense." She said softly, but there was no reproach in her tone.
"I'm not talking nonsense." Ahn Sohee walked over to her side, gently hugged her waist from behind, and rested her chin on her shoulder. "Unnie, are you happy?"
Min Sunye didn't answer immediately. She turned off the stove, plated the fried eggs, and then turned around to look at Ahn Sohee.
"I am." She said, her voice very soft but very certain. "Very happy."
Ahn Sohee smiled and buried her face in her shoulder, rubbing against it.
"That's good." She said.
The doorbell rang at that moment.
The two looked at each other and were both stunned for a moment. It was 7:20 in the morning; who would come so early?
"I'll go open it." Ahn Sohee said, heading towards the entryway.
She took a look through the peephole and froze.
There were three people standing outside the door: Kim Taeyeon, Park Hyomin, and Park So-yeon.
All three of them were carrying things. Kim Taeyeon was carrying a paper bag containing bread and coffee; Park Hyomin was holding a food container that looked like homemade food; and Park So-yeon was carrying a supermarket shopping bag filled with various ingredients.
Ahn Sohee was stunned for two seconds, then opened the door.
"Good morning~" Kim Taeyeon greeted with a smile, then saw the clothes Ahn Sohee was wearing and blinked, "Huh? Sohee? Why are you here? These clothes..."
"They are Song Tianhao's." Ahn Sohee said honestly, stepping aside to let them in. "Unnie and I didn't return to the dormitory last night. Song Tianhao said reporters might still be staking out, so he let us stay in the company lounge for the night. But the bed in the lounge was too small, so we..."
"So you came to stay at Oppa's apartment?" Park Hyomin took over, walking into the living room, her gaze sweeping around the apartment before finally landing on Min Sunye in the kitchen.
Min Sunye also saw them, and the spatula in her hand almost fell to the floor.
"Ta-Taeyeon Unnie? Hyomin? Soyeon Unnie?" She stammered, her face instantly turning red, "Wh-why are you here?"
"We came to deliver breakfast to Oppa." Park So-yeon said with a smile, placing the shopping bag on the dining table, "It seems someone arrived before us."
She looked at the shirt Min Sunye was wearing, then at the hoodie on Ahn Sohee, and her smile deepened.
"And, it seems you stayed the night too?"
Min Sunye's face turned even redder, and she frantically pulled down the hem of the shirt, although it was useless.
"No, it's not what you think!" She said hurriedly, "We slept in the guest room! Oppa slept in the master bedroom! We were just... just..."
"Just staying for the night." Ahn Sohee took over, her tone calm, "There were too many reporters last night. Oppa was worried about our safety, so he let us come over. Taeyeon Unnie, please don't misunderstand."
"We aren't misunderstanding anything." Kim Taeyeon said with a smile, walking to the kitchen and taking out the bread and coffee from the paper bag, "It's perfect, it's lively with more people. We brought a lot of ingredients, we can make a hearty breakfast."
She looked at Min Sunye, her eyes curving: "Sunye, you don't mind if we join, right?"
"O-of course not." Min Sunye said quickly, but her face was still red.
"That's good." Kim Taeyeon patted her shoulder, then looked at Ahn Sohee, "Sohee, could you help clear the table? Hyomin brought kimchi stew, Soyeon brought braised beef, and I brought bread and coffee. Adding the fried eggs and toast you made, it's plenty."
"Okay." Ahn Sohee replied and began to clear the dining table.
Park Hyomin and Park So-yeon also entered the kitchen, taking out the food they had brought one by one. The five of them were crowded into the not-so-large kitchen; the scene was a bit chaotic for a moment, but inexplicably warm.
"Unnie, where is the salt?" "The second cabinet on the left." "The eggs are going to burn!" "Coming right up, coming right up." "Do you want sugar in the coffee?" "I do." "Me too." "Oppa seems to like black coffee." "Then let's brew two pots, one with sugar and one without."
The girls' voices rose and fell, mixed with the clatter of pots and pans, and the aroma of food filled the air. Sunlight shone in from outside the window, casting a soft glow on everyone's silhouettes.
When Song Tianhao came out of the bedroom, this was the scene he saw.
Five women were squeezed between the kitchen and the dining area, some plating food, some pouring coffee, some cutting fruit.
Kim Taeyeon and Park So-yeon were whispering about something, Park Hyomin was tasting the kimchi stew, Min Sunye was frying the last two eggs, and Ahn Sohee was setting the table.
They were wearing his clothes or their own, their hair tied up casually, no makeup on their faces, but they looked more vibrant and real than ever before.
Song Tianhao stood at the bedroom doorway, watched for a few seconds, and then spoke. "Good morning."
The five of them turned their heads at the same time. "Oppa!" They said in unison, then looked at each other and all smiled.
"Did we wake you up?" Min Sunye asked, still holding the spatula.
"No, I woke up naturally." Song Tianhao walked over, his gaze sweeping across the dining table, "So sumptuous?"
"Taeyeon Unnie and the others brought it." Ahn Sohee said, pulling out a chair for him, "Oppa, sit."
Song Tianhao sat down. Kim Taeyeon poured him a cup of black coffee, Park So-yeon pushed the braised beef in front of him, Park Hyomin served a bowl of kimchi stew, Min Sunye placed the fried eggs and toast on his plate, and Ahn Sohee handed him the knife and fork.
The plate in front of him was soon piled high. Song Tianhao looked at this scene and suddenly smiled.
"What's wrong?" Kim Taeyeon asked.
"Nothing," Song Tianhao said, picking up his fork, "I just think, this is quite nice."
The five of them were stunned for a moment, then looked at each other, and all smiled as well.
"It is quite nice." Park Hyomin said, sitting down next to Song Tianhao, "It's lively with more people."
"Exactly," Park So-yeon also sat down on the other side, "Usually in the dorm, everyone eats on their own; it's rare to gather together for breakfast."
"Then let's gather often from now on?" Kim Taeyeon suggested, her eyes bright.
"Sounds good." Min Sunye said, sitting down opposite Song Tianhao.
Ahn Sohee was the last to sit down, sitting next to Min Sunye. The five of them gathered around the dining table and began to eat breakfast.
The dining table was very lively. Kim Taeyeon was talking about Girls Generation's recent schedule, and Park So-yeon was complaining that the dance for T-ara's new song was too difficult.
Park Hyomin was complaining about gaining weight recently and needing to go on a diet. Min Sunye listened quietly, occasionally inserting a sentence or two, while Ahn Sohee buried her head in her food but kept her ears perked, listening very carefully.
Song Tianhao rarely spoke, only occasionally picking up food for one person or pouring coffee for another. He didn't eat much; most of the time he was listening and observing.
He noticed that although Kim Taeyeon was smiling, there were faint dark circles under her eyes, indicating that her schedule had been very busy recently and she hadn't rested well. Park So-yeon habitually touched her earlobe when she spoke; it was her subconscious action when she was nervous.
Park Hyomin was stuffing braised beef into her mouth while complaining about gaining weight, which was adorably contradictory. Min Sunye was very quiet, but there was always a faint smile on the corners of her mouth; she was truly relaxed.
Ahn Sohee would steal glances at him from time to time, her eyes complex, filled with curiosity, exploration, and a little bit... admiration?
Halfway through the meal, Ahn Sohee suddenly spoke up. "Oppa." "Hm?" "I want to tell you something." Ahn Sohee put down her chopsticks, her expression becoming serious.
Everyone else at the table went quiet and looked at her. "Go ahead." Song Tianhao said.
"Wonder Girls wants to change our style." Ahn Sohee said, every word spoken clearly, "We don't want to do the sexy concept anymore; we want to go for a healing concept."
Song Tianhao raised an eyebrow. "Healing concept?"
"Yes." Min Sunye took over, her voice very soft but very firm, "Using our own stories to help people with similar traumas. We don't want others to experience what we have experienced. We hope the wounds we have suffered can become medicine for others."
She paused and looked at Song Tianhao. "Oppa, you once said to let us sing, dance, and live well. But I think living shouldn't just be about existing; it should also be about doing something. We have experienced darkness, so we know better where the light is. We have been hurt, so we want to protect others from being hurt even more. We want to use our music, our stage, and our stories to tell those who are still struggling in the darkness: don't be afraid, the dawn will come."
She spoke very slowly, but every word was like a pebble falling onto a calm lake, sending out ripples.
The dining table went quiet. Kim Taeyeon looked at Min Sunye, her eyes soft. Park So-yeon pursed her lips, as if remembering something. Park Hyomin put down her chopsticks, her expression serious. Ahn Sohee looked at Min Sunye, her eyes shining.
Song Tianhao looked at Min Sunye for a long time. "Are you sure?" He asked.
"Sure." Min Sunye nodded. "Are you all sure?" He looked at Ahn Sohee, then at Kim Taeyeon and the others. "Sure." Ahn Sohee said.
"We support it." Kim Taeyeon said, her voice soft but powerful. "Let us know if you need any help." Park So-yeon said. "Count me in." Park Hyomin said.
Song Tianhao was silent for a few seconds, then nodded. "Good." He said, "Submit the proposal to me next week. I want to see a complete plan, including concept positioning, target audience, market analysis, song direction, stage design, and promotional plan."
He paused and looked at Min Sunye. "Also, the weekly psychological counseling continues; it is not allowed to stop."
Min Sunye was stunned for a moment, then smiled. "Yes, Oppa."
"Also," Song Tianhao continued, "A healing concept is not a tragic concept. I want to see hope, strength, and light. Can you do that?"
"We can." Min Sunye said, her eyes firm.
"Then it's settled." Song Tianhao said, picking up his coffee and taking a sip.
The atmosphere at the dining table became relaxed again. Kim Taeyeon started talking about Girls Generation's Asian tour, the first one being the concert in Seoul. Park So-yeon said that T-ara was about to release a new album, and the title track was written by Song Tianhao.
Park Hyomin said she wanted to try Acting and asked Song Tianhao if there were any suitable roles. Ahn Sohee listened quietly, occasionally inserting a sentence or two.
Min Sunye was also very quiet, but there was always a smile on the corners of her mouth. Her left hand was resting on the dining table, and on her ring finger was a plain ring, a very simple style, a silver band without any decoration. Song Tianhao noticed it.
After breakfast, Kim Taeyeon and the others took the initiative to clear the table. Park Hyomin and Park So-yeon scrambled to wash the dishes, Kim Taeyeon wiped the table, and Ahn Sohee took out the trash. Min Sunye wanted to help, but was stopped by Song Tianhao.
"You stay," he said.
Min Sunye froze for a moment, then nodded.
Kim Taeyeon and the others were tactful and sped up their movements. Ten minutes later, the kitchen and dining room were clean, and the three of them grabbed their bags to leave.
"We're heading out first, Oppa," Kim Taeyeon said, standing at the door with a smile. "We have a recording tonight, so we need to go back and prepare."
"Mm, be careful on your way," Song Tianhao said.
"Goodbye, Oppa," Park So-yeon said.
"Bye-bye, Oppa~" Park Hyomin waved her hand.
The door closed, and only Song Tianhao and Min Sunye were left in the apartment.
Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, flooding the entire living room. In the distance, the Han River shimmered under the sun like a silver ribbon winding through the city.
Min Sunye stood by the sofa, her hands folded in front of her, head slightly bowed, feeling somewhat nervous.
Song Tianhao walked up to her and looked down at her.
"The ring," he said.
Min Sunye paused, then raised her left hand, looking at the simple ring on her ring finger.
"This?" she asked.
"Mm." Song Tianhao took her hand, his thumb gently caressing the ring band. "Who gave it to you?"
"Sohee," Min Sunye said, her voice very soft. "Yesterday afternoon, when we left the company, she took me to buy it. She said... to celebrate a new beginning."
Song Tianhao didn't speak, just looked at her.
Min Sunye felt a bit uneasy under his gaze and curled her fingers slightly.
"It's, it's very cheap," she said. "Bought it at a roadside shop, it's not any famous brand..."
"I'll get you a better one," Song Tianhao interrupted her.
Min Sunye shook her head.
"This one is fine," she said, raising her eyes to look at him, her eyes bright. "This is Sohee's gesture. She saved up her pocket money for a long time just to buy this for me. She said, 'Unnie, from now on, we'll live well, and no one will be able to bully us again.'"
Her voice choked up, but she was smiling.
"So, this one is fine," she said.
Song Tianhao looked at her for a long time, then sighed softly and pulled her into his embrace.
Min Sunye stiffened for a moment, then slowly relaxed, burying her face in his chest. She had a faint scent of body wash on her, the same one he used, mixed with her own scent, which smelled very good.
"Oppa," she said softly.
"Hmm?"
"Last night, Sohee said..." She paused, her voice even softer. "She said you admitted it. That morning, when I kissed you... you were awake."
Song Tianhao didn't speak, just tightened his arms a bit.
"So," Min Sunye looked up at him, her eyes glistening with tears, but also filled with a smile. "You were pretending to sleep?"
Song Tianhao looked at her for two seconds, then laughed.
"Mm," he said.
"Cunning," Min Sunye said, her tone devoid of reproach, only filled with coquettishness.
"So," Song Tianhao lowered his head, pressing his forehead against hers, his voice very low. "How about a make-up morning kiss?"
Min Sunye's face turned red instantly. She wanted to dodge, but Song Tianhao's hand pressed against her lower back, not letting her retreat. She looked at his eyes, which were so close; they were calm and bright, as if they wanted to pull her in.
She bit her lip, then closed her eyes and nodded slightly.
Song Tianhao smiled and leaned down to kiss her. It was a very light kiss, landing on her lips, as gentle as a feather brushing past.
Min Sunye's body trembled slightly, her hands gripping his clothes tightly.
Song Tianhao's hand moved from her lower back to the nape of her neck, gently supporting her, and deepened the kiss.
The sunlight spilled over the two of them, gilding their silhouettes with a golden edge.
Tiny dust particles floated in the air, slowly rotating in the beams of light. The faint sound of traffic came from afar, but the apartment was very quiet, so quiet that they could only hear each other's breathing.
This kiss lasted a long time, yet it felt like only an instant.
When Song Tianhao released her, Min Sunye's face was completely flushed. She kept her head down, not daring to look at him, her fingers still clutching his clothes, her knuckles trembling slightly.
"Oppa..." she said in a small voice, her breath hitching.
"Hmm?" Song Tianhao replied, his hand still gently stroking her hair.
"I, I'll go clean the kitchen..." Min Sunye said, trying to pull away from his embrace.
"It's already cleaned," Song Tianhao said, not letting go.
"Then, then I'll take out the trash..."
"It's already taken out."
"I, I'll go..."
"You don't need to go anywhere," Song Tianhao interrupted her, pulling her to sit on the sofa. "Just sit here and keep me company for a while."
Min Sunye sat down obediently, but she sat very upright, her back straight, hands on her knees, like a primary school student in class. Song Tianhao found it amusing and reached out to ruffle her hair.
"Relax," he said.
Min Sunye murmured an "Mm," but her body remained tense.
Song Tianhao didn't push it, just leaned back into the sofa, one arm resting on the back of the sofa behind her, the other hand picking up the phone on the coffee table.
There was a new message on the phone screen, sent by Jang Se-hoon.
"President, CJ's stock price plummeted by 7% at the opening today, and Chairman Lee Jae-hyun has been summoned by the prosecution to assist in the investigation. Additionally, the information on the psychologist you requested has been sent to your email. It is the best trauma treatment expert in South Korea, and the appointment is scheduled for next Wednesday at 3:00 PM."
Song Tianhao finished reading, didn't reply, and exited directly.
He opened his email again, and there was a new email from the International Psychological Association. The content of the email was an invitation for him to attend the annual forum held in Seoul next month as a guest speaker, with the speech topic being "Mental Health in the Entertainment Industry: The Shadows Behind the Glamour."
Song Tianhao raised an eyebrow.
He opened the attachment, which contained the detailed forum agenda and the list of guests. The list was full of big names in the industry, including scholars, doctors, lawyers, and several high-level executives from entertainment companies. His photo and profile were listed third, with the titles "Founder and CEO of Sky Entertainment, Baeksang Arts Awards Best Actor."
He thought for a moment, then clicked the "Accept Invitation" button.
Then, he exited the email, opened the browser, and typed "custom ring" in the search bar.
The search results popped up, all custom services from major jewelry brands. He clicked on them one by one to look, examining the designs, the craftsmanship, and the reviews. He looked very serious and focused, as if he were studying some important document.
Min Sunye watched him secretly from the side.
The sunlight shone from his side, casting a soft halo over his profile. His eyelashes were long, casting shallow shadows under his eyelids. His nose bridge was high, his lips pressed into a straight line, and his expression was serious and focused.
As Min Sunye watched, her face turned red again.
She lowered her head, playing with her fingers. The simple ring on her left ring finger shimmered with a faint light in the sun. It was a very simple design, a very cheap price, but worn on her hand, it felt heavy.
That was Sohee's gesture, and it was also her new beginning.
The doorbell rang at this moment.
Both of them looked up at the same time.
"I'll get it," Min Sunye said, standing up and walking to the entrance.
Through the peephole, she saw a courier standing outside the door, holding a box in his hands.
She opened the door.
"Hello, this is a delivery for Mr. Song Tianhao, please sign for it," the courier said.
Min Sunye paused, then turned to look at Song Tianhao.
Song Tianhao walked over, took the pen, signed the delivery slip, and then took the box. The box wasn't large, but it had some weight. After the courier left, he carried the box back to the living room and placed it on the coffee table.
"What is this?" Min Sunye asked curiously.
"I don't know," Song Tianhao said, grabbing a pair of scissors to cut the tape.
The box was opened, and inside was an exquisite gift box.
Song Tianhao opened the gift box, and inside was a Blu-ray disc set. The cover design was very exquisite, with a dark blue starry sky as the background, and in the center were the big words "Sky Entertainment Family Concert," with a line of small text below: "2010 Seoul Station Commemorative Edition."
Song Tianhao picked up the top disc and flipped it over.
The back cover featured a live photo from the concert. The photo was taken from the audience looking back; on the stage, Min Sunye was standing under the spotlight, singing. She had her eyes closed, her expression very immersed, and there were tears in the corners of her eyes.
Below the stage, Song Tianhao was sitting in the first row, clapping while looking at her. His profile was a bit blurry in the dim light, but the outline was very clear.
The photo was taken with a great feeling, like a movie poster.
Min Sunye leaned in to look, and upon seeing the photo, she froze for a moment.
"This is..." she said softly.
"The live recording of the family concert," Song Tianhao said, taking out the disc and looking at it against the light. "It's been produced into Blu-ray, limited edition, given to the artists and staff who participated in the concert as a souvenir."
The disc surface reflected the sunlight, refracting tiny rainbow-colored spots that danced on the wall.
Min Sunye looked at the disc for a long time, then reached out and gently touched her own face on the cover.
"Back then..." she said softly, "was I crying?"
"Mm," Song Tianhao said.
"Why was I crying?"
"You don't know?" Song Tianhao looked at her with some surprise. "You don't know yourself?"
Min Sunye thought for a moment, then shook her head.
"I don't remember," she said. "That night, standing on the stage, looking at the audience, looking at you, looking at Sohee and the others, looking at everyone... I just suddenly wanted to cry. But I don't know why."
Song Tianhao didn't speak, just put the disc back into the gift box, then reached out and pulled her into his embrace.
Min Sunye leaned against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
"Oppa," she said softly.
"Hmm?"
"Thank you."
"Thank you for what?"
"Everything," Min Sunye said, closing her eyes. "Everything."
Song Tianhao didn't speak, just tightened his arms, holding her even closer.
Sunlight shone in from outside the window, spilling onto them, warm and cozy. In the distance, the Han River shimmered, and the sky over Seoul was very blue, as if washed by water.
And in Song Tianhao's system interface, a line of small text quietly appeared.

Song Tianhao held Min Sunye, feeling her body temperature, her breathing, and her heartbeat.
The living room was very quiet, with only the ticking of the clock on the wall and the faint sound of traffic in the distance.
After a long time, Min Sunye spoke softly.
"Oppa."
"Hmm?"
"Girls Generation's concert... will you go?"
"Yes," Song Tianhao said. "I will go to the Seoul Station."
"Then..." Min Sunye paused, "can I go? I want to see Taeyeon Unnie's concert."
Song Tianhao laughed.
"Of course you can," he said. "If you want to go, I'll take you to see it."
Min Sunye rubbed against his chest like a little cat.
"It's a deal then," she said.
"It's a deal," Song Tianhao said.
The sunlight grew brighter, streaming in from the floor-to-ceiling windows and covering the entire living room. The Blu-ray disc set on the coffee table lay quietly in the gift box; on the cover, the tear in the corner of Min Sunye's eye shimmered in the sunlight like a star.
