64: Become a soft persimmon?

Three Demonic Beast corpses lay on the ground, massive like tigers, covered in gray fur, and dragging golden tails.

Next to them was a dark cave, from which voices emanated.

Inside the flickering, fire-lit cave, three figures were searching for something.

“Senior, we’ve searched everywhere. Besides droppings and bones, there’s nothing,” Qin Zhi said, covering her nose, her voice sounding a bit strange.

The cave was filled with the pungent smell of Demonic Beasts, which was very unpleasant.

“These patterns on the wall don’t seem to have any special meaning,” Han Pu said, having groped the wall for a long time without finding anything.

The two looked a bit dejected; they had spent so much time searching, only to come up empty-handed.

Especially Han Pu, who was injured, his left arm hanging limply, blood still dripping from his fingertips.

“Let’s keep looking,” Du Chaoping said, unwilling to give up. Golden-tailed rats, also known as treasure-seeking rats, lived in this cave, so there had to be a reason.

Hearing this, the two exchanged glances and turned back to continue their search... On the mountain path.

A group of people was walking upwards. There were signs of a struggle around, and following the traces made it easy to find clues.

“Boss, there’s a cave here.”

Before long, someone found the location, and Bai Shan and Wang Ming immediately rushed over.

“Golden-tailed rats!” Bai Shan looked at the ground.

Outside the cave entrance, three Demonic Beast corpses lay still on the ground, their blood not yet dry.

“This must be it,” Wang Ming said.

Bai Shan nodded, and just as he was about to enter, he saw three figures emerge from inside.

Upon seeing each other, Du Chaoping was stunned for a moment. “Bai Shan, what are you doing here?”

But he quickly reacted, “Are you following me?”

“You guessed right. Hand over the item,” Bai Shan admitted frankly when confronted.

“Hand over what?” Du Chaoping didn’t react, seeing Bai Shan’s gaze fixed behind him, he added, “There’s nothing in the cave.”

“Do you think I’ll believe that?” Bai Shan’s lips curved into a faint smile. “I advise you to hand it over voluntarily to avoid some physical pain.”

As he spoke, the people he brought stood behind Bai Shan, forming a line, their gazes unfriendly as they stared at Du Chaoping and his two companions.

Under their scrutiny, all three felt their hearts sink.

Just by numbers alone, the three of them were at an absolute disadvantage, and Han Pu was also injured.

This was very bad!

Du Chaoping saw Wang Ming and felt a bit uneasy. He had heard recently that Wang Ming had achieved a Breakthrough to Dou Master. If it came to a fight, he wouldn’t last long against him.

Moreover, Bai Shan was no pushover; he would definitely make a move.

“There really isn’t what you’re looking for in the cave. If you don’t believe me, you can go in and see for yourselves,” Du Chaoping said, turning his back to Qin Zhi and Han Pu, making gestures to them.

From his understanding of Bai Shan, that guy wouldn’t listen to any explanations.

So, Du Chaoping decided to hold them off alone and let the other two escape first.

“Whether there is or isn’t isn’t up to you. I’ll search the cave, but I’ll also search you all!” What Bai Shan said was exactly what Du Chaoping had expected.

“Don’t go too far, Bai Shan,” Du Chaoping said, his Dou Qi surging, preparing for battle.

“What can you do to me if I go too far?” Bai Shan snorted. “Attack! Take them all down!”

Several figures rushed past Bai Shan, surrounding Du Chaoping and his two companions.

“Run!” Du Chaoping roared, meeting the attackers.

“How could I let you escape?” Bai Shan sneered, locking onto Du Chaoping and rushing forward.

He had suffered a loss with Lin Xiu before, and today he would get it back from him.

It must have been you who said something to Lin Xiu!

Otherwise, he and Lin Xiu didn’t even know each other before, so why would he refuse to help him fish?

Du Chaoping and Bai Shan wrestled together, both holding nothing back.

With a minor Breakthrough, Du Chaoping felt no pressure facing Bai Shan, but he couldn’t quickly defeat Bai Shan either.

Han Pu was injured, fighting with one hand, his combat power greatly reduced, and he quickly fell into a disadvantage. Qin Zhi was slightly better, but she also couldn’t break free.

“Bai Shan, I’ll help you,” Wang Ming said, wanting to end the fight quickly, and voluntarily joined the fray.

Du Chaoping, who was fiercely fighting Bai Shan, heard this and his expression changed dramatically, his heart sinking.

This was bad.

He was only evenly matched against Bai Shan, and with Wang Ming joining, he was absolutely doomed to lose.

Du Chaoping glanced at Han Pu and Qin Zhi, who couldn’t break free, and anxiously shouted, “Bai Shan, don’t go too far! We really didn’t find anything in the cave!”

“I don’t believe you,” Bai Shan said coldly.

“Whether there is or isn’t, we’ll know once we search,” Wang Ming rushed over.

He struck out with a palm.

Bang.

Du Chaoping took the palm strike, retreating six or seven steps, feeling his Dou Qi surging within him.

What to do?!

Du Chaoping was extremely anxious.

Suddenly.

“Senior, I’ll help you.”

A voice came, and Du Chaoping looked in that direction, a familiar figure entering his sight.

Lin Xiu?

However, instead of showing joy, Du Chaoping’s eyes flashed with worry. “Junior Lin Xiu, don’t come over!”

Du Chaoping’s first reaction upon seeing Lin Xiu rushing over was to stop him.

Both Bai Shan and Wang Ming were very strong. He believed that Lin Xiu joining would have no effect on the battle, but would instead put him in danger.

Concern made him confused. Du Chaoping didn’t notice that the moment Lin Xiu appeared, both Bai Shan and Wang Ming’s expressions changed.

A hint of surprise flashed across their faces first, as if they hadn’t expected Lin Xiu to appear at this time.

Bai Shan looked at Lin Xiu rushing over and said to Wang Ming, “Senior Wang, you stop him. After I deal with Du Chaoping, I’ll come help you.”

“No, I’ll go deal with Du Chaoping. You hold off Lin Xiu.” Almost the instant he heard Bai Shan’s suggestion, Wang Ming retorted.

Neither of them wanted to face Lin Xiu.

Du Chaoping heard their conversation and was momentarily stunned.

When did he become a pushover?

The next second, he reacted.

No, are these two afraid of Junior Lin Xiu? What’s going on?

Du Chaoping felt that Lin Xiu was indeed powerful; he had been able to shatter the Water Tiger Beast’s ice armor with a single palm strike before, but he was only powerful, not to the extent that even Dou Master Wang Ming didn’t want to face him, right?

“Lin Xiu, go help Han Pu and Qin Zhi. I can still hold on for a while,” Du Chaoping quickly shouted, not having time to ponder deeply.

Lin Xiu also saw that the two were in a bad situation, and halfway through his rush, he decisively changed direction.

Han Pu, fighting with one hand, had accumulated several footprints on his body in a short time. He was about to grab someone to fight to the death when he suddenly found that everyone had retreated.

“Hmm?” Han Pu was stunned for a moment, then looked up and saw Lin Xiu rushing over. “Junior?”

“Senior Han, you step back first.” Lin Xiu nodded at him, his feet carrying the wind, and swiftly rushed towards one person.

Bang!

As soon as they met, that person was sent flying six or seven meters by Lin Xiu.

“So strong?” Han Pu’s eyes almost popped out of his sockets. He had just fought, so he knew the opponent’s strength was at least that of a Seven-Star Dou Zhe.

Even in his full state, he couldn’t directly send the opponent flying with one move.

While lost in thought, Han Pu suddenly felt a great force strike his shoulder, followed by his body seeming to be thrown. He stomped his feet several times and finally stabilized himself.

It was then that Han Pu realized Lin Xiu had just thrown him a distance backward.

“His strength is too great,” Han Pu swallowed hard.
