Chapter 96: Herbal Chicken Soup Sitting across from Fu Chen’an, Xiao Wei asked, "Chen’an, why did the General summon you suddenly?"

The sky was still dark, and the villagers were not awake yet. So, no one knew about Yao Zhi selling sauces.


Yao Zhi locked the gate after they left and went to the kitchen. Thinking about her husband’s wounds, she decided to brew some soup to nourish his body.


Opening her system shop, she browsed for a while before buying 1 silkie chicken, costing her 10 points. Besides the chicken, she also bought a pack of Chinese herbs, costing her 8 points.

Before she cooked the soup, she cleaned the silkie chicken first. Then, she put the chicken into a large pot and bought a pack of dried scallops from the system shop, costing her 5 points. There were only 10 pieces of scallops in the bag.


She also cut several pieces of ginger. When everything was ready, she added the spice bag, red and black dates, ginger, and dried scallops into the pot. Then, she added water and some seasonings.

She waited until the water boiled and took out some of the firewood to lower the heat. She opened part of the lid and let the chicken simmer.


40 minutes later, she checked the chicken. Seeing that the chicken had become tender, she added goji berries. She removed all the firewood, leaving only some embers. The residual heat would soften the goji berries.
