As he walked through the vast desolate lands for some time, he felt an unexpected aura, an aura he was familiar with.

"Selena!"

Unexpectedly he felt her aura, and she wasn’t alone, as he also felt another terrifying aura that seemed to reach the peak of the true god realm around her.

A confrontation.

He could feel the residual shockwaves of energy rippling through space, subtle but undeniable. A silent clash of pressure, a battle that had not yet erupted into full force—but one wrong move could ignite it instantly.

They were quite far, but due to his sharp senses and space rule, he could be sure it was her aura.

Without hesitation, Apollo’s form flickered, and space cracks opened around him as he vanished.

On the other side, Selena was standing in the sky, and below her was a ferocious and terrifying creature filled with destruction and darkness, corrupted by the aura of the abyss.

Its aura was terrifying, as it seemed to have changed after being corrupted here for millions of years, and although it was still at peak true god level, it was still many times stronger than most peak true gods.

She was calmly standing as their auras were colliding with one another, shaking the land and sky with it.

Her silver aura shimmered like a celestial tide, clashing violently against the abyssal darkness of the corrupted beast before her. The very fabric of space twisted and groaned beneath their power, the land beneath them fracturing under the weight of their colliding auras.

Her silver hair fluttered in the turbulent winds, her expression impassive, but her narrowed eyes glowed with an icy light.

"Annoying monster. Let me go. I don’t have time or interest in playing with you."

Her voice rang out, crisp and cold as the moon’s glow. Yet, the monstrous being before her did not falter. It did not react to her words.

It had no mind to reason with. No intelligence to fear her strength.

It was simply a beast of pure destruction, an entity driven by instinct alone.

Selena sighed, irritation flickering in her silver eyes.

"So stubborn..."

She took out her sword and her grip tightened around the hilt of it as silver energy with moonlight condensed around her in a blinding surge. The next instant—

The air exploded as the corrupted creature lunged forward, its corrupted energy surging like a tidal wave, intent on devouring everything in its path.

Boom

Her attack collided with the monster and created a space-shattering explosion covering hundreds of miles, destroying everything within the explosion range.

And from the shock waves, the two figures came out. Serena was still calm and uninjured, whereas the corrupted beast was forced backwards for miles with a small injury on its chest.

But although it was clear she had the upper hand, she didn’t feel great as the damage was negligible, which, as she thinks about it, already got healed. She now knew that it was going to be troublesome, as it might take her some time to fully destroy it.

Selena’s gaze remained cold and unreadable as she observed the abyssal beast regenerating before her eyes. The wound she had inflicted was already gone, erased as if it had never existed.

"Troublesome," she muttered to herself, her fingers tightening around her sword.

The corrupted monster let out a deep, guttural growl, its abyssal energy surging even stronger than before. Its twisted form pulsed, the darkness around it writhing as if it were alive.

Both of them standing in the sky looked at each other. She looked at him with a shocked expression on her face, although she could feel he was still half-god but there was also a very mysterious aura around him.

Apollo was always mysterious to her, but it wasn’t like this before, as the moment he appeared she felt a terrifying threat from him. If the person standing in front of him wasn’t Apollo, she would have run.

The pressure he exuded wasn’t something a Half-God should possess. No—it wasn’t even about raw strength. It was something deeper, more profound.

Like an abyss that could swallow everything.

For the first time, she felt a true sense of danger from him.

"Lord... What happened to you?" She asked, her voice steady but laced with curiosity.

Apollo didn’t answer immediately. His blue eyes, deep like the cosmos, regarded her calmly.

Then, he smiled. A small, almost imperceptible smile.

"Nothing, just a small improvement."

Selena’s heart skipped a beat. That answer—so simple, yet it carried weight.

Before she could ask further—

The abyssal beast lunged, its monstrous form expanding, its corruption twisting the very air around it. It had no interest in their reunion.

She frowned, preparing to strike again—

But before she could move, Apollo simply raised his hand.

And in the next instant—

No, it wasn’t just that. It froze in place.
