They remained alert and carefully moved forward through the maze-like environment filled with different kinds of runic formations. Although those runic formations were weak, surprisingly they weren’t man-made but naturally formed formations, which is very rare.

But for some reason in this land there were quite a lot of them; some were barely able to affect first-rank limit breakers, while the stronger ones barely reached a level where they could hurt fourth-rank limit breakers.

He raised his hand, letting a small thread of his space power seep into the nearby formations. The rune formations glimmered faintly in response — a shimmering spiderweb-like pattern — then fell silent.

"The laws here... they’re influenced by something deep within the land." Apollo fell into a thoughtful silence, trying to piece together what might be causing these formations to manifest.

After a minute they arrived at the place where exactly Felrick saw the ghostly flame clan’s people.

He carefully felt everything around him with his powerful spiritual sense and searched dozens of miles of land.

He turned back toward his guardian. "Stay close. From here on, we move slowly, deliberately — until we uncover the truth."

As he just mentioned, something happened, and a burst of powerful and a bit eerie aura covered the land.

Along with the aura, a strange flame seemed to appear, and finally they saw some people. They all have purple flames hovering over their heads and have humanoid shapes with pale skin that appeared to fall down at any second.

He tightened his grip. The space itself trembled. The purple fire, suspended in mid-air, began to shrink, fold in upon itself, and break down into shimmering motes of soul energy.

The sphere of purple-black flame dispersed, sending a shockwave of pure magic that rippled through the barren landscape. The earth trembled. The weak formations shattered, collapsing into glittering traces of rune energy. The oppressive aura that had filled the area began to fade, disrupted by his power.

He stepped forward, each stride firm yet graceful — a deity descending upon a world.

There were dozens of people from the Ghostly Flame Clan who, now seeing Apollo’s power and aura, were shocked. They felt a terrifying power seemed to be crushing them down.

"You shouldn’t come here, humans." A cold and chilly voice echoed that seemed to make the sky tremble.

A simple yet terrifying figure seemed to walk out of the hidden void, which Apollo quickly noticed.

His piercing gaze locked on the figure slowly emerging from the hidden void, noting its form, its aura, and its very way of turning chaos into manifestation.

The creature was taller than a man, yet thinner — its limbs almost skeletal, its torso wreathed in purple-black flame. The face was a mask forged from agony: two piercing orbits glowering with an ancient fire that seemed to consume everything it fell upon.

Although its aura was still suppressed to peak void god rank due to the prohibitions on Rion, its strength definitely surpassed that.

The moment this strong Ghostly Flame clan member appeared, the Gold and Black Sovereign Flames that Apollo had merged in the Black Sovereign realm seemed to agitate a bit, as they seemed to be hungry.

He tightened his grip, forcing his own will to keep the Gold and Black Sovereign Flames from surging forward.

He could feel their growing restlessness — a hunger, a raw and elemental need to consume. The Sovereign Flames within him began to spiral quietly, a pair of majestic dragons eager to break free and devour.

He at that moment knew it wasn’t simple, and he could be sure it had some connection with the sovereign realm, as otherwise the sovereign flames wouldn’t react like that.
