1: Chapter 1 Milk Tea and the Boy

In a milk tea shop in Jianghuo City.

A boy wearing a school uniform was looking out the glass window, slightly lost in thought.

Outside the glass window were high school students who had just finished school, full of youth and vitality.

"It has been eighteen years since I transmigrated into this world."

"Achieved nothing."

"Though, it doesn't really matter."

A vibration came from his pocket, and Su Lin took out his phone to look.

Li Tao: "Brother Su, why did you leave so early?"

"Not staying to train for a while longer?"

"It makes no difference whether I train or not."

"You can't say that. The college entrance exam is coming up soon; you should train more if you can."

"Are you at the milk tea shop right now? Wait for me, I'm heading there right now."

"No, I'd better go home early today. I'm getting this to go."

"Alright then, let's talk tomorrow."

Su Lin put away his phone and let out a soft sigh.

Eighteen years ago, he was reborn into this world.

This was a world of high martial arts. In this world, the poor study literature while the rich practice martial arts. If one wants to get ahead, one must cultivate martial arts.

Therefore, this is an era where everyone cultivates martial arts. From three-year-old children who have just learned to walk, to centenarians, everyone can throw a few moves.

However, for some reason, Su Lin's martial arts path had been interrupted for a long time.

His blood-qi value had not increased but decreased over the years, and it was almost about to hit zero completely.

No matter what method he used, it had no effect, and his blood-qi kept falling.

Such a blow—if it were anyone else, they might have already collapsed and wanted to die.

But over these years, Su Lin still ate well and lived his life without a care.

"Number 277, it's ready."

"That's mine."

Su Lin quickly ran to the counter.

"Here you go, three cups of Jasmine Milk Green Tea, standard sugar, standard ice."

"To go, or will you be drinking here?"

"To go."

The cute shop clerk handed over the three cups of milk tea that had been packed.

"Thank you."

A smile spread across Su Lin's face.

"Are you from Jianghuo High School?"

The clerk at the counter looked at Su Lin's school uniform and asked.

"Yeah, that's right."

"That's amazing. Your blood-qi value must be very high, then. I heard that Jianghuo High School has several students every year who get into prestigious martial arts universities. There are so many high-achieving students there!"

"Indeed."

Su Lin walked out of the milk tea shop, opened one cup of milk tea, inserted the straw, and took a big gulp.

The refreshing, cold milk tea flowed into his mouth, and Su Lin felt as if his entire body and mind had been opened up.

"Ah... delicious."

"milk tea is the best."

"Whatever martial arts, whatever blood-qi, it's all just fleeting clouds."

Su Lin carried the milk tea and happily headed home.

...

"I'm home."

As Su Lin entered the house, he smelled the fragrance wafting from the kitchen.

His mother, Zhou Ting, was already busy in the kitchen, while a middle-aged man on the sofa not far away was still working on his laptop.

The middle-aged man didn't say a word and didn't even look up, while Zhou Ting's voice came from the kitchen.

"You're back. Wash your hands; dinner will be ready soon."

"Okay."

"I bought some milk tea. I'll put it in the fridge first; take some if you want to drink it."

Although he knew his parents didn't drink milk tea, Su Lin said it anyway.

Su Lin put the remaining two cups of milk tea into the fridge, washed his hands, and sat down at the dining table.

He looked around, and his sister hadn't returned yet.

In less than twenty minutes, the dining table was filled with four or five dishes.

Every dish was fragrant, making Su Lin drool, wishing he could start eating immediately.

"Don't eat yet; wait for your sister to come back."

Zhou Ting sat down, and his father, Su Wen, also walked over.

"It's a bit late today."

"Su Xiaoyue is a top student; it's normal for her to have extra training occasionally."

Su Wen sat down and adjusted his glasses.

"Su Lin, the college entrance exam is coming up soon. How are your grades recently? Have you thought about your plans for the future?"

"My grades are no different than usual. I don't have any plans; as long as I don't starve in the future, that's fine."

"You're too calm. You really don't look like a high school senior. Whatever."

"The college entrance exam is just an exam. Don't pressure yourself; too much pressure is not good!"

Zhou Ting advised, while Su Wen didn't say anything.

Soon, the sound of the door opening was heard, and a lithe figure walked in.

"Su Xiaoyue is back! Come over and eat quickly."

"Mom, I told you not to wait for me. You should have started eating."

"It's fine, the food was just made. Go wash your hands and come eat."

Su Xiaoyue quickly changed her shoes and went to wash her hands.

She had short, light brown hair. Her double eyelids were like beautiful arcs that outlined her eyes, making them look charming and moving. Her eyes were beautiful and bright, clear and pure like a pool of water. Her nose bridge was tall and exquisite. Her full under-eye bags and cheeks full of collagen made the young girl full of youth and cuteness.

Su Xiaoyue had just started her second year of middle school. Even at her young age, her beauty was like a mountain peak. She had perfectly inherited her parents' good looks, and had even surpassed them.

Not only was she very beautiful, she was also a genius in martial arts, already having 56 points of blood-qi in her second year of middle school.

In school, her grades in all aspects were consistently in the top three.

Su Xiaoyue sat down next to Su Lin, but from the moment she entered the door, she hadn't looked at Su Lin once.

"How are your grades recently, Su Xiaoyue?"

"They're okay."

"Did the results of the last mock exam come out?"

"First place, but I feel like I didn't perform well."

"Su Xiaoyue is amazing!"

Soon, the dining table was instantly filled with topics about Su Xiaoyue.

Even the usually taciturn Su Wen kept talking about his daughter's grades and future.

While Su Lin listened silently, eating the delicious food.

"I'm done eating."

Su Lin cleared the dishes and went to wash them.

"By the way, Su Xiaoyue, I bought some milk tea. It's in the fridge."

"I don't drink that stuff. Drinking that stuff affects blood-qi."

"You always drink those things; can your martial arts grades be any good?"

Su Xiaoyue said coldly.

Su Wen and his wife remained silent.

"Oh, alright then."

Su Lin finished washing the dishes, returned to his room, and took out the test papers from his school bag.

"Since you won't drink it, I'll enjoy both cups of milk tea later, hehe."

Su Lin wasn't affected in the slightest by his sister.

It took Su Lin less than two hours to finish all five test papers.

Then he started picking up his books to review the day's knowledge.

At 9 PM, Su Lin stretched on his chair.

"Finished."

The coursework for the third year of high school was very heavy, not only for martial arts subjects but also for liberal arts subjects.

But Su Lin could finish all his homework before nine o'clock, and he could also go over the knowledge he had learned during the day again.

His efficiency was astonishing; if it were anyone else, they would have to struggle until eleven or twelve at night at the very least.

Also, at 9 PM, there was no one in the bathroom, so there wouldn't be any situation of fighting for the bathroom.

Su Lin walked into the bathroom, took off his clothes, and had a refreshing shower.

After showering, Su Lin turned around and saw in the mirror that there were many shocking scars on his back.

The deep scars were interwoven like a spider web, and a few scars even spanned the entire back, looking exceptionally hideous.

Su Lin glanced at it, his brows furrowed slightly, and his usually calm eyes gained a hint of ferocity.

Scenes from a few years ago replayed in his mind once again.

That night, Su Lin, who was still in the third year of middle school, took his very young sister to buy some things.

Who knew they would encounter rebel elements colluding with alien races, who were directly massacring people in the city center. Su Lin and his sister happened to be caught in the crossfire.

Fourteen-year-old Su Lin saw with his own eyes the rebels piercing through the bodies of several guards, blood dripping everywhere.

The young Su Lin took his sister and ran for their lives, but they were still hurt by the aftermath of the rebels' attack.

Just when the two of them were in life-threatening danger, a martial arts expert happened to arrive, killed the rebels, and thus prevented the casualties from expanding further.

The two of them also saved their lives.

Under Su Lin's desperate protection, his sister was unharmed.

But because of excessive shock, she lost her memories of that day.

But Su Lin wasn't so lucky. He was seriously injured and walked through the gates of hell a few times before he survived.

Having been reborn with such difficulty, he almost died again.

Although he survived, he was left with many sequelae, and his foundation was greatly damaged.

A few years ago, Su Lin was also a martial arts genius, and he was the center of attention from elementary school to middle school.

But after that time, his blood-qi value was directly halved, and over the years, his blood-qi didn't increase but decreased instead.

The minimum blood-qi value for a normal person is around 25, while Su Lin's blood-qi value dropped from 66 to 7 points over the years.

If it weren't for his good grades in academic subjects, he would have almost been expelled from Jianghuo High School.

"Damn alien races, damn rebels!"

"It's a good thing it wasn't Su Xiaoyue who got hurt."

"Otherwise I..."

Su Lin clenched his fists, sighed, then put on his clothes and walked out of the bathroom.

Su Lin opened the fridge and saw the two cups of milk tea inside, which made him feel a little relieved.

"It's a good thing there's milk tea."

It was also from then on that Su Lin developed a hobby of drinking milk tea.

He found that no matter how bad his mood was, he could feel much better after drinking milk tea.

Su Lin carried the milk tea into his room.

"Alien races, rebels, just you wait. One day, you will definitely be completely wiped out."

"Of course, not by me."

"Our human army, everyone is like a dragon, especially the soldiers of our Shenglong Kingdom. They are heroic and spirited; hacking these beasts to death is a matter of minutes."

Su Lin took out his phone and, as usual, turned on the radio to understand the latest news.

While taking out a straw and about to open a cup of milk tea, his hand stopped in mid-air.

"Emergency broadcast: Jiutiao Bay was ambushed by the rebel organization, the Evil Heart Cult, and has temporarily fallen. Tiannan Province has already dispatched elite troops to suppress them."

"The Angry Fish Race has invaded human territory for the fourth time. The 23rd Unit of the Holy Dragon Army has already headed to the battlefield. The current battle situation is unknown."

"Space-time rift No. 6489 has appeared. Experts determine that the rift connects to extraterrestrial evil races. A Level 3 warning has been issued for a radius of one hundred miles, and the center of the rift has been sealed off."
