238: God Particle

The next day, in the No. 19 Mimic World.

This was a world of a special dimension where every lifeform that entered would be scaled down to the size of the tiniest particle.

Traveling between enlarged cellular units, one could grasp the composition and ultimate mysteries of Myriad Things.

"We often say that materials are the foundation that drives all technological progress. From something as small as a spacecraft to the ultimate weapons that can destroy an entire world, even with the richest theoretical foundation, without materials capable of withstanding that power, everything is just a fantasy..."

An elderly man with a humanoid appearance was speaking slowly.

As he spoke, he waved his hand.

Massive cellular units were peeled away layer by layer, revealing their complete and clear composition.

"We might as well consider what we need first."

"For example, the cold weapons most commonly used by ancient civilizations."

He moved the units once more, combining different structures together:

"This is a piece of low-carbon steel. It is mainly composed of ferrite and a small amount of cementite. The grains are relatively large, so it is somewhat soft and easily deformed, making it unsuitable for high-intensity combat."

As he spoke, he reorganized part of the structure and said calmly:

"Therefore, we need to form a higher density of carbides within it to strengthen the hardness and durability of the entire weapon..."

"So, the next thing to think about is how to achieve this step..."

"From the most primitive quenching and tempering treatments..."

As the instructor of this class, Senior Scholar Karis, spoke eloquently, the content quickly shifted from basic to profound and mysterious.

The faces of the students in the Elite Class grew serious as they listened intently to the lecture and observed the changes in the microscopic particles.

They were afraid that a single moment of distraction would leave them unable to keep up.

Zhang Huaiyuan was the same.

In the past, he had always researched everything on his own; this was his first time hearing someone explain knowledge so incisively and in such an easy-to-understand manner.

This microscopic particle mimic world even achieved, to some extent, an effect like a budget version of "True Sight."

His brain, which had been enhanced countless times, began to operate at full capacity.

With multiple approaches working together, the obscure knowledge began to be quickly integrated and understood.

"Hmm..."

As Karis narrated, he looked at Zhang Huaiyuan, who seemed completely immersed in the explanation of the knowledge, and felt a slight sense of surprise in his heart.

He knew this student was extremely talented, but coming from a lower world, he might be lacking in the basic parts, and Karis had worried whether he would be able to keep up.

Looking at it now, it seemed that true geniuses were indeed beyond common logic.

Thinking this, Karis continued his teaching.

He did not stop until seven days and seven nights had passed.

"That's all for the new content of this lesson."

"Thank you for the explanation, Instructor Karis."

Hearing this, the group of students suddenly breathed a sigh of relief; if he continued like this, they wouldn't be able to keep up.

"The first lesson was just some simple theory, which I assume you have all learned. For the remaining time, we will conduct a simple test to verify your learning results."

However, before everyone could celebrate, Karis extended a hand, and a strange crystal evolved above it.

It had countless different faces, and upon closer inspection, each face was further divided into more facets; moreover, it seemed to flow every second, adapting to the changing environment.

"This is the most stable and comprehensive structure researched by the Association below the divine realm, also known as the god particle. Any material with more microscopic crystals of this structure will have a higher overall strength."

"Since you already understand the basic principles of microscopic particle combination, you can begin attempting to construct a basic god particle."

Karis paused and smiled:

"Of course, I don't require you to construct it completely. You only need to build more than one-thousandth of a stable structure before the end of class to pass. Begin."

"Yes, Instructor."

As students of the Elite Class, they did not shy away from the difficulty; instead, they excitedly manipulated the microscopic particles, putting their newfound insights into practice.

"The first step is wrong, start over..."

"On the twenty-third facet, there's a 0.03-nanometer error in the gap between particles. You didn't see such a big problem? Start over!"

"..."

Karis walked past the students one by one with a stern face, correcting their mistakes. Soon, he arrived at Zhang Huaiyuan's side.

"How is it? Are you keeping up with the course... Hmm? What!"

Karis, who had intended to give some extra guidance, turned his head and was stunned by the crystal Zhang Huaiyuan was constructing in his hand.

He saw that it had already reproduced about one percent of the structure.

The composition of each facet was perfect, becoming increasingly close to completion.

However, when the completion reached about seven percent and the first complete crystal face was about to be perfected, Zhang Huaiyuan's brow suddenly furrowed slightly. The movement of his right hand slowed by a small step, and the entire particle combination quietly collapsed.

"A pity..."

Zhang Huaiyuan couldn't help but let out a low sigh.

Just now, at the most critical step, he found that his brain was actually unable to keep up with the real-time calculations!

The further it went, the more complex the construction of this special particle became. The data that needed to be calculated every millisecond was enough to make a Galaxy-level transcendent crash instantly.

"Have you encountered the god particle before?"

"Hmm? Instructor Karis."

Hearing the voice from his side, Zhang Huaiyuan quickly turned and bowed:

"I haven't studied it; it's all thanks to your teaching just now. Unfortunately, I am slow-witted and couldn't even replicate one-tenth of it."

"Slow-witted?"

Hearing this, Karis looked at the serious Zhang Huaiyuan with a strange expression, then looked at the other students around them who were struggling to stabilize even one-thousandth. He couldn't help but laugh:

"If you are slow-witted, then these fellows, including myself, are all fools."

"You should know that the construction of a god particle requires unimaginable computing power. Even Senior Scholars need the assistance of advanced intelligent lifeforms to build it."

"I see."

Zhang Huaiyuan suddenly realized and quickly thanked him: "Thank you for your guidance, Instructor."

"This is all your own ability."

Karis smiled and shook his head, asking: "Do you have your own intelligent lifeform? If not, you can go to the Virtual Tower to receive one. With your status, you can at least receive a level-five assistant."

"Thank you for the reminder, Instructor. I already have an intelligent partner. By the way..."

As Zhang Huaiyuan spoke, he suddenly thought of something, bowed, and asked:

"Instructor, you are an expert in Material Science. If one wanted to create a perfect body for an intelligent lifeform, what kind of material would be most suitable as the core?"

"A body for an intelligent lifeform?"

Karis raised an eyebrow.

Generally speaking, intelligent lifeforms could travel freely through the void network or borrow various mechanical devices at any time. Spending a fortune to build a fixed body was simply a waste.

However, as a Senior Scholar, he had seen much of the world and was not overly surprised.

After a moment of contemplation, he said:

"It's hard to directly rank the merits of many materials, but for a humanoid body, if it must be the most perfect, it would definitely be the branches of the World Tree. That is one of the few ultimate materials that cannot be replicated."

A faint glint of fanaticism flashed in Karis's eyes.

"Branches of the World Tree? I wonder where they can be obtained?"

Zhang Huaiyuan immediately followed up.

"The Elf Race."

...

Let me explain the recent issues with unstable updates and the filler content... because as I wrote, I completely deviated from the outline, and my saved drafts became useless. I didn't know how to develop it. Once a mistake is made, it's impossible to pull it back later, so I'm working hard to clear my thoughts and rewrite the outline to get things back on track.

I am very sorry.
