24: trade

In the vast, boundless void, a small fleet was slowly returning, towing the massive carcass of a Galaxy Beast.

On either side of the carcass, dozens of small mechs were continuously using freezing guns to keep it in good condition.

This was exactly the fleet of "Dark Destruction Legion."

B-grade, or even A-grade, Galaxy Beast carcasses were generally of average value to large factions, but one that had just completed an advancement was different.

It was highly likely that traces of what prompted the advancement still remained within, and many excellent Researchers hoped to use this to develop methods that could be applied to human transcendent abilities.

The issuer of this mission, the "Traveler Merchant Guild," had expressed that they would pay a high price to purchase the remains of this "Bone-Eroding Sub-Dragon."

"Approaching the Seventh Temporary Survival Zone, Traveler Star. Star-rail navigation ending."

"Commander, the area below is full. There is no place for the starship to dock. Do we need to head to the outskirts to land?" a pilot asked.

"No need. Reis, take some people and see if there are any familiar faces. If not, drive them away directly."

"Understood, Commander."

Reis grinned, waved to the members of the second squad, put on his mech, and flew down from the hatch.

He glanced at the life feedback displayed on the scanner within a ten-mile radius. There were no alarms, so he directly turned on the sound amplifier.

"Hey, listen up, guys. Now, I'll give you ten minutes to get out of this area and take all this damn junk with you. Do you understand?"

At the same time, the members of his squad behind him silently drew their large-caliber pulse guns and aimed them at the ground.

"Who is so arrogant, daring to—uh—the mark of the Dark Annihilation legion!"

A fierce-looking man was just about to curse when he saw the black broken blade logo on the mech. He immediately pretended to check his watch and grumbled resentfully: "Damn it, a mission had to come at this time. I'll let you off for now."

"The feng shui here is bad anyway; can't sell anything all day. Might as well let these losers have it." An old man running a stall spat and packed up his stall with a look of indignation.

"It's the people from Dark Annihilation. Let's go." Some low-level mercenary squads were even more decisive, packing up their things and running without hesitation.

In less than five minutes, the originally noisy ground became completely empty.

Zhang Huaiyuan, who was watching this scene from the starship, shook his head slightly. He vaguely saw his own shadow from the past. No... he wouldn't have dared to run to such a dangerous survival zone in the past.

"Is my little brother feeling a bit unaccustomed?" Randy, who was beside him, took a look and explained: "It's not that our Dark Annihilation is overbearing; this is the rule of the Blackstone Star System. There are too many people of all kinds here. If you are weak, others will think you are easy to bully, a paper tiger, and will try to take advantage of you. Just like the Traveler Merchant Guild, although they invited us here, look, we are almost at their territory and they haven't even sent anyone to welcome us."

"They also want to maintain their detachment." "I understand, brother." Zhang Huaiyuan nodded.

Wasn't the Star Mechanic master who saved him back then looked like he was easy to bully, only to be killed and robbed by a third-rate squad? He had encountered the same danger countless times during his years of wandering.

"Well... when we arrive, if you want to go out and look around, remember to ask Reis and the others to go with you. This place is not as safe as the camp in the Fifth Zone." Randy smiled and instructed: "However, although the Traveler Merchant Guild is not famous on the surface in the Blackstone Star System, they are a major merchant guild ranked high in the Star Dome Empire, with influence spread across hundreds of star sectors, and they can get anything."

During the small talk, the "Dark Destruction Legion" fleet slowly descended to the ground, and one by one, the soldiers patrolled nearby fully armed.

"Commander, we have notified the people of the Traveler Merchant Guild. They said they will send someone over immediately." "Good, rest in place and pay attention to security."

After waiting for about two hours, a small spaceship landed a few hundred meters away.

Surrounded by a group of well-equipped soldiers, an elegantly dressed fat man walked up with a smile. From a hundred meters away, he greeted them enthusiastically: "Ah, the distinguished guests from Dark Annihilation have arrived. I apologize for not welcoming you sooner."

"Supervisor Dak is too polite. We just arrived." Randy glanced at An Yu, who was leaning against the starship and had no intention of speaking, and helplessly piled up a smile to greet him. Their eldest young lady didn't like dealing with such occasions, so as a subordinate, he could only do it for her.

"When we arrive at the Traveler camp later, you must stay for a few days so we can fulfill our duties as hosts." "Haha, that's easy to say..."

After exchanging pleasantries for a good while, Dak finally looked at the frozen carcass beside the spaceship, and the smile on his face couldn't help but widen: "This must be that Galaxy Beast that just advanced, right? You all are really lucky to have encountered such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

"This isn't luck. If it weren't for early discovery and Lady Annihilation arriving in time, we probably would have been eaten by this monster." Randy responded calmly.

"Hehe..." Dak gave a dry laugh. Given his experience, he could naturally hear that the other party was implying that their Traveler Merchant Guild was derelict in their duty and provided incorrect information. However, this was nothing more than wanting to sell it for more money. As long as the goods were good, these things didn't matter. He didn't want to chitchat anymore and said directly: "Let's go see the goods first."

"Alright, please this way." Two old men in white research uniforms walked straight up, took out a large syringe and stabbed it into the "Bone-Eroding Sub-Dragon" body, then poured the extracted substance into a detector. A moment later, lines of data appeared.

"Supervisor, no problem. The evolution time is less than half a month, and it has extremely high research value. It's a pity, it would be even better if it were alive." The two men's eyes flashed with excitement, wishing they could dissect this monster on the spot.

"Not bad." Supervisor Dak heard this and showed a satisfied smile, nodding: "Then let's follow the price we discussed before, 3 billion star coins, how about it?"

"Okay." Randy glanced imperceptibly at the back, and after seeing An Yu nod slightly, he agreed.

"This is the bearer card from the Imperial Bank, three cards in total, 1 billion each. You can check it." Supervisor Dak handed over three black crystal cards.

"No need to check. We still trust the reputation of the Traveler Merchant Guild. Then the carcass of this Galaxy Beast belongs to you. Happy cooperation."

"Happy cooperation. Miss An Yu, our guild's internal auction is in three days. If you don't mind, you can come with us and rest at the Traveler Merchant Guild's VIP guesthouse for two days." Supervisor Dak added: "Of course, if you want to walk around the area yourself, that's fine too. I will send someone to pick you up to attend then."

"Lead the way. There's nothing worth looking at in a place like this." An Yu thought for a moment, threw out a sentence, and walked straight back into the starship.
