Chapter 111: Adjustments

Chapter 111: Adjustments Kieran didn’t know what exactly to say to the man who was straing at him with eyes that demanded answers.

"It broke!"

Kieran mustetred all the thick skin he had said in a flat tone rivaling that of the man, his face didn’t betray any other emotions either.

The man’s eyes narrowed at Kieran’s words and he let out a sigh..

"Sigh.... What was I expecting from one of that bastartds recruits. He’s just as shameless as his teacher"

The man muttered, but Kieran who,.with his se situve hearing could hear right from the entrance of the infirmary, heard his words quite clearly and he qas at a loss at how to feel.

’What did he mean by that??? No way he just compared me to that peice if shit August?! Hell no!"

"Achu!!"

"Hmm!"

On the mountain top, August who was leisurely enjoying a cup of wine suddenly sneezed violently, spilling a fee drops of his favorite wine.

"The hell?? Who the fuck was cursing me?!"

"Hmm, either way, why were you staring at your hands like that?"

The man asked since he noticed the way Kieran had been staring at his hands while opening and closing them repeatedly.

Hearing this question, Kieran took one moment to look at the man in front of him properly.

Now that his embarrassment had died down and he could now think normally again, Kieran recognized the flat tone as the same that came from the man whose chin he only saw.

The one who August had addressed as arrogant and hard headed and after looking at him for a while, Kieran had to say, he agreed. There was a subtle air of undeniable arrogance floating around him, especially with his expression which hinted disinterest in his current situation, making it look like he was looking down on a person.

"Well, I’m having trouble....with my body!"

"What do you mean?"

A frown appeared on his face hearing Kieran’s words.

"Sigh.."

Kieran wss about go try explaining it go him, but gave up midway thinking it better to show him for him to understand clearly.

Looking around, he looked at the bed frame support on his right which hadn’t been damaged yet.

He slowly took his hand and wrapped his fingers around it, very gently for the fear of ripping it off instantly.

The man watched closely without interrupting Kieran and his seemingly pointless actions.

After wrapping his fingers around the support successfully, Kieran let out a sigh and had a small feeling of accomplishment well up in his chest.

Then he proceeded to put some pressure on the support...

CRACK!!

A loud crack was heard as the metal got snapped out immediately and the piece in Kierans hands was looking like mangled as if at had gone through assault from a hound

"Hmm!"

The man with shoulder length white hair that was all tied into a bundle, looked at the support that had been ripped off the moment Kieran had tried to stand up.

The support wasn’t of much concern, as he didn’t even consider it something valuable, but still it had been made to last.

After all, he and the previous head of research had made sure that the camp put in a lot of resources into the building of this infirmary. The equipment here, while not all extravagant, were easily beyond normal standards. Even the bed he laid upon was carefully made and wasn’t like general mass manufactured ones.

’Increase in strength with trouble controlling it. He doesn’t seem like he’s noticed ir is going through any sort of imbalance though.’

"Hmm..."

Kieran looked at the man who had his eyes locked on him.

’The hell is he thinking?’

’I can say for sure though, he hasn’t gotten on his feet yet, but we can’t do that here. He’s only going to destroy more equipment. I should take him back to my lab to take the necessary tests, I definitely didn’t see something like this happening!’

"Don’t try to get up again."

He said to Kieran before turning to the warden, not giving Kieran the chance to oppose or voice out his opinion.

"Strap him to the bed and bring him over to my lab. Now!"

The man said, walking away from the room.

The warden did just like he said and pulled out some straps from the drawer next to the bed, but paused when it was time to strap him.

The two supports he could be strapped to had been ripped off and they were both left in an award situation where they just spent a moment staring into each other’s eyes.

"Sigh! Give me a moment, let me try something"

Kieran said and decided to go through with his idea.

With his back on the bed, he tilted his body slightly to the side and placed right hand vertically above the place where his left arm stayed on the bed, and pressed down.

This time, he didn’t try to limit the force he put into his hand, instead he gradually increased it and his nails also sharpened turning into mimi claws, pushing through the bed until half his hand had completely pierced through the bed.

Turning around, he did the same for the other part of the bed with his second arm.

Now that he had forced open holes through the sides of the bed, Kieran laid back flat on his back and turned his head to the warden who had been watching silently, the thoughts racing in his head, completely unknown.

Shaking his head, the man proceeded to strap Kieran’s hands passing the ends of the straps through the holes he had created and tied them to the edge of the bed.

Now that Kieran had been strapped securely to the bed...well somewhat. The warden moved around the corners of the bed, doing something to the feet of each and Kieran felt himself go higher—the bed was now levitating, like the stretchers the camp used.

Once the man was about to start pushing Kieran away from the room, Kieran said to him.

"Do me a quick favor and contact instructor August to tell him about this!"

"Alright!"

The man said, pushing Kieran with one hand while contacting August.

Kieran on the other hand just closed his eyes and enjoyed the ride.
