Chapter 112: lab Kieran didn’t bother to keep track of time as he tried to inspect himself along the way. He knew that was fully awakened, he must have grown stronger, but he had an inkling that this abnormal jump in strength had something to do with the Lost Origins first stage which he had just completed.

He wasn’t completely sure due to the different circumstances from before, but back then after he successfully merged with his mental model, he had noticed a significant boost in his basic stats, but more than that, the best thing he gained from the first stage, was the understanding of his body.

After the merge, his understanding of his body had almost gotten to a point where he could call it perfect.

The implications of this? He was able to exert nearly all the power his body held, in a single strike.

Most people could barely put in 40 percent of their power into each of their strikes, so in actuality it wasn’t the raw power their body possessed that mattered, it was how much they could utilize in each attack and he could utilize almost a hundred percent.

If not for this, he would’ve never tried to face the second years. He wouldn’t have even been able to survive his first hit in the tournament.

While Kieran was thinking back to the tournament and feeling thankful that he had picked up the Lost Origins technique just like August had wanted him to.

It didn’t take long for a voice to enter his ears.

"We are here!"

The warden said and he opened his eyes to look at the ceiling above him. There was almost no difference which could make him know that he was in another place.

Turning his head to the side, he saw that he was indeed in a lad which was also the whitest room he had seen in his life.

The color of the metal ceiling, the paint on the wall, even the floor was white. Turning his head to the other side, Kieran saw a black figure walking alongside his bed. August had arrived and he hadn’t even sensed when, or heard his footsteps like before.

Even now that he was right in front of him, Keiran still couldn’t feel his presence and the image he was seeing through his eyes was the only thing that made him aware of his presence.

Taking his eyes away from the figure of the surprisingly silent instructor, he focuses on the other tubes and glassware arranged in the room containing several things unknown to him and Kieran could feel the fire of curiosity burn again in him.

’It’s been a while since I visited the library and the cafeteria too’

Kieran thought, a pained and guilty expression flashing through his face as the image of Danzo, the head chef flashed across his mind.

He made up his mind to visit the rough looking man who had treated him like a son when he was thrown into this den of wolves.

"I can take it from here!"

August said to the warden who nodded and took his leave immediately.

The sound of a door opening was heard and they stepped into another room which was less heavy on the white compared to the last one.

"I didn’t welcome you here!"

The voice of the man in the white lab coat was heard and Kieran saw his figure at the end of the room.

There was a pair of gloves on his hands as he arms moved, it seemed like he was busy preparing something and didn’t bother looking at them.

"You visited mine, it’s only right I check up on you now that I know how much you miss me. I know I’ve been neglecting you and I really can’t find it within myself to apologize, but I do promise to pay more attention from now on!"

August sleek voice was heard and the man paused in his actions and Kieran noticed the small shake that ran through his body as a deep breath was heard in the room.

’What’s with the both of them?’

Kieran wondered, noticing the tense atmosphere between the two of them. It felt like the two of them weren’t even supposed to be in a room together.

"Load him up at the centre there!"

The man said, pointing to the centre of the room, still not looking back at them.

August didn’t seem interested I pushing further too as he guided the bed to the center of the room and was about to undo his straps when Keiran just pulled his hands up lightly, tearing through the restrictions like paper earning him an eyebrow raise from August who narrowed his eyes when he looked away.

After August stepped away, the sound of a machine starting up was heard and Kieran suddenly felt an upward pull in his body, taking him away from the bed.

"Don’t resist!"

The man said from the side and Keiran did as he said, dropping any intention of resisting and letting himself get carried by the machine.

After getting raised to a certain height, some metal prongs appeared and stripped him of the light hospital attire, leaving him stark naked in front of the two grown men in the room while attaching a few metal tubes to his body and another metal hand descended towards his face, placing a mask with a tube connected at its end.

The machine then turned and Kieran could feel himself follow, getting carried to the side where he was slowly submerged into some kind of liquid.

The feeling was rather uncomfortable as the liquid was viscous and thick, wrapping around his body in places he didn’t like and ways he didn’t feel comfortable with.

August watched from the side with a single thought in his head as he fought the urge to whistle.

’Well he definitely is blessed with potential, alright!’

"He’s in. What next?"

He asked turning to face the white haired man who had also finished what he was doing and was now facing the tank which Kieran was floating in
