131: Infiltrate! Blood Fiend Sect Treasure Vault
At the end of the Blood Slaughter Plain, a hideous giant city stood upon the earth.
The entire city was built from white bones, with countless skulls wailing in pain embedded in the city walls. Black Devilish Qi gathered above the city into a thick dark cloud, where the phantoms of resentful souls and malevolent ghosts occasionally flitted through, letting out ear-piercing shrieks.
This was the front-line headquarters of the Blood Fiend Sect—White Bone Demon City.
Demonic Cultivators came and went within the city, their auras fierce, with the weakest being at the Foundation Establishment Stage. Squads of Demonic Cultivators clad in blood-colored armor patrolled the city, heavily guarded; any strange aura would be discovered immediately.
In the center of the city, inside a Demon Hall constructed from giant leg bones, several Elders of the Nascent Soul Stage were discussing something. Powerful auras leaked out from time to time, causing the surrounding space to distort.
However, all of these precautions were effectively nonexistent in Chu He's eyes.
A figure that no one could detect appeared silently above White Bone Demon City.
Chu He restrained all his aura, and his Divine Sense of the Great Perfection of Soul Transformation Stage spread out like liquid silver, instantly enveloping the entire demon city.
The Formation Restrictions in the city, the routes of the patrol teams, and even the conversations of those Nascent Soul Elders in the Demon Hall—everything was clearly presented in his mind, with no secrets left at all.
"A bunch of mere rabble."
Chu He gave his evaluation in his heart.
To him, these so-called giants of the Demonic Path were no different from the Star-Devouring Demon Clan vanguard he had once obliterated with a single punch; they were perhaps even weaker.
His goal was clear; he wasn't here to waste time with these minor characters.
With a sweep of his Divine Sense through the city, he quickly found his target—an underground treasury located behind the Demon Hall, protected by layers of Formations.
At the entrance of the treasury, a white-haired Elder of the Late Nascent Soul Stage sat cross-legged. His aura was cold and powerful, clearly specifically tasked with guarding the treasury.
"I'll start with you."
Chu He's figure vanished from his spot, and in the next moment, he appeared within the shadows of the treasury entrance.
The white-haired Elder seemed to sense something and suddenly opened his eyes, shouting sharply, "Who is there?!"
His Divine Sense swept frantically around him, but he found nothing.
"Strange, could it be an illusion?" The white-haired Elder frowned, feeling somewhat uneasy in his heart.
Just as he was about to close his eyes again, a calm voice rang out directly in his mind.
"Sleep."
Just two words, yet they seemed to contain the supreme power of Words Manifest as Law.
The white-haired Elder's eyelids instantly became as heavy as a thousand pounds, and an irresistible drowsiness surged into his heart. His consciousness fell into boundless darkness in an instant, and his head slumped as he fell into a deep sleep against the wall, even letting out a slight snore.
From beginning to end, he hadn't even seen the shadow of his enemy.
Chu He stepped out from the shadows, not sparing the white-haired Elder even a glance.
He walked to the heavy stone door of the treasury, which was covered in dense blood-colored runes, forming a defensive Formation of no small power.
For an ordinary Cultivator, even one at the Soul Transformation Stage, breaking through this Formation would require some effort.
But Chu He was different.
He merely extended a finger and lightly tapped on the complex Formation runes.
There was no earth-shaking roar, nor any brilliant radiance.
The indestructible Formation light screen simply dissolved silently, creating a man-sized gap like a popped bubble.
Chu He stepped inside, and the gap behind him quietly closed as if nothing had ever happened.
The space inside the treasury was vast, with a dazzling array of Heaven And Earth Treasures piled up like mountains. The treasure light and Spiritual Qi they emitted almost illuminated the entire space.
On the left was a small mountain of High-Grade Spirit Stones, roughly estimated to be at least tens of millions.
On the right were various Demonic Path Magic Treasures and Artifact Refining Materials, emitting cold or violent auras.
Straight ahead were rows of shelves made of cold jade, upon which sat jade boxes. Inside were rare Spirit Medicines, including many thousand-year-old demon herbs that had long since vanished from the outside world.
"Finally, some things worth looking at."
Chu He swept his Divine Sense over them, a hint of satisfaction appearing on his face.
Although these things wouldn't do much to improve his own cultivation, they were more than enough to replenish his Family treasury and serve as Cultivation resources for the children.
He did not stand on ceremony. With a wave of his hand, like a great whale sucking in water, he took everything in the treasury—including the shelves—and stored it all into the Heaven-Reaching Pagoda.
Like a whirlwind sweeping through clouds, he left not a single blade of grass wherever he went.
In just a few breaths, the originally packed treasury became completely empty, with not even a single hair left behind.
Having finished this, Chu He discovered a secret room in the corner of the treasury protected by a special Restriction.
He followed the same procedure and easily broke the Restriction.
The secret room was not large, containing only three items.
An animal-hide map, a bottle of dark red blood emitting a terrifying aura, and a Jade Slip recording information.
Chu He picked up the animal-hide map and probed it with his Divine Sense.
What was depicted on the map was the internal structure of the Blood Sea Secret Realm, detailing the distribution of various resource points and the location of the core area—the heart of blood source.
"This saves me some trouble." Chu He nodded with satisfaction.
Next, he picked up the bottle of dark red blood.
As soon as the stopper was opened, a power of the blood slaughter origin, pure to the extreme, rushed toward him, even containing a trace of the aura of Law.
"This is... the origin essence blood of a Void Refining Realm powerhouse?"
Chu He was somewhat surprised.
This was a real treasure; whether used for Alchemy or directly refined, it could greatly enhance a Cultivator's Physical Body strength and cultivation.
Finally, he picked up the Jade Slip and probed it with his Divine Sense.
Recorded in the Jade Slip was the Blood Fiend Sect's detailed plan for this Secret Realm expedition.
They intended to use this drop of Void Refining Realm essence blood as a catalyst to forcibly activate a certain secret technique after the Secret Realm opened, polluting the heart of blood source and thereby claiming the entire Secret Realm for themselves.
"A good idea, but unfortunately, you won't have the chance."
Chu He gave a light chuckle and put away the three items as well.
The purpose of this trip had been achieved; it was time to leave.
He walked silently out of the treasury; the white-haired Elder was still sound asleep on the spot, completely unaware of the theft.
Chu He's figure merged into the Void Realm once more and left White Bone Demon City.
What he didn't know was that less than half an hour after he left, a roar of shock and fury came from deep within White Bone Demon City, shaking the entire battlefield.
"Who was it! Who stole my sect's treasury!!"
A massive storm was about to be stirred within the Blood Fiend Sect.
But none of this had anything to do with Chu He, who was already tens of thousands of miles away.
He was currently standing in a desolate valley, holding the animal-hide map, his gaze fixed on the location marked as the "Gate of the Secret Realm."
"Blood Sea Secret Realm, origin of blood..."
A light of anticipation flickered in Chu He's eyes.
To survive that Void Refining Heavenly Tribulation, which had its power increased tenfold, his Physical Body still needed further tempering.
And the "origin of blood" in this Secret Realm was exactly the best supplement for him!
