181: Ying Qian
"Let's go! Let's see what they have to say?" Luo Chen nodded, stood up from his seat, and walked towards the door.
He currently had no good way to deal with the overwhelming tide of zombies, so he could only hope that others might have some good suggestions.
"Friends inside... Luo Chen?" Hou Jun was about to call out again when the door in front of him automatically slid open, and a familiar figure came into view. Hou Jun's expression was very surprised. He reacted, pointed at the Train, and asked, "Luo Chen, is this your Train?"
Before Luo Chen could answer, a white-bearded foreigner next to him, hearing Luo Chen's name, curiously sized up Luo Chen and said to Hou Jun, "Mr. Hou, is he the Luo Chen you mentioned, the one who purifies water in your district?"
Luo Chen nodded, his gaze sweeping over the five people, and he asked, "What are you all doing here?"
"That's right, if your Train needs purified water, you can talk to him!" Hou Jun nodded at the white-bearded man, then looked at Luo Chen and explained:
"We're here to gather everyone. We're currently surrounded by the zombie tide, and it's very difficult to break through with individual strength. So, we plan to gather other Train Conductors and prepare to fight this zombie tide together. What do you say? Are you willing to join us?"
"How many people have you gathered so far?" Luo Chen asked, standing at the doorway.
"About 80%!" Hou Jun pondered for a moment and said, "The major factions have all agreed to join. We're still missing some scattered Trains."
"Do you know how to deal with the zombie tide now?"
"We have an immature idea, but it requires many Trains to participate. If you're willing to join, you can gather at the eighth carriage door of the Wanderer Commerce Guild. We still need to go call others now." Hou Jun, seeing that Luo Chen hadn't agreed, didn't dare to waste time. He simply said a few words and then quickly left with the other four.
The five people came from different cultural systems, each responsible for contacting different Train Conductors.
"What are you thinking?" Luo Wan Ning asked curiously, watching the five figures leave.
"We don't have an effective solution right now. Since they do, joining them isn't a problem. We all have to deal with the zombie tide, and everyone is useful, so they won't make a move against us."
Luo Chen said after a moment of thought.
Then, Luo Chen took Qin Mengyue and Jiang Zhi to the location Hou Jun mentioned, leaving Luo Wan Ning and the others to guard the Train.
At the eighth carriage door of the Wanderer Commerce Guild, a large wooden table was neatly placed, and more than ten people were already seated around it.
There were men and women, old and young, arguing fiercely, with hundreds of people gathered around the periphery.
Above their heads, two Trains were horizontally placed on the Trains on either side, shielding the wooden table below, allowing everyone to sit securely.
"You three must be Luo Chen, Qin Mengyue, and Jiang Zhi. Please, take a seat, take a seat." A middle-aged man with a square face, sitting at the head of the table, said with a smile as he saw the three of them approach.
Luo Chen nodded, found an empty seat, and sat down. His gaze swept over everyone present, and he realized that the only person he recognized was the one who had just spoken, Xia Liang, who had invited him before. He didn't know anyone else.
"Do you know all these people?" Luo Chen turned his head and asked Qin Mengyue.
Qin Mengyue shook her head, "I don't know most of them, except for Xia Liang of the Great Xia Interstellar Federation and Ying Qian of the Great Qin Heavy Industries. I haven't seen anyone else."
Saying that, Qin Mengyue pointed to a burly man sitting to the lower left of Xia Liang, "He is Ying Qian."
Luo Chen looked in the direction she pointed. Ying Qian, feeling Qin Mengyue pointing at him, also looked in their direction. The two exchanged glances, and Ying Qian smiled slightly, showing a friendly expression on his face.
Luo Chen also smiled slightly and nodded, returning the greeting.
At this moment, Xia Liang's voice rang out again.
"Everyone, please wait a little longer. I've already sent people to call those individual Train Conductors. This crisis cannot be overcome without them, so don't rush." Xia Liang's gaze swept over the crowd, reassuring them.
"Train Conductor Xia, tell us what the plan is? If it doesn't work, we can at least make plans to escape early." A white man frowned and called out, clearly not trusting Xia Liang's words.
Most of them had gathered here because they heard Xia Liang say he had a way to deal with the zombie tide, but they had waited for several minutes without Xia Liang explaining what the method was, which made them suspect Xia Liang was lying.
Xia Liang's gaze swept over the people sitting, and he noticed that most of their expressions showed disbelief.
He knew that if he waited any longer, the morale of the people he had painstakingly gathered might dissipate.
He was silent for a moment, then said, "Currently, the biggest threat to us is the Dinosaur Zombies on the ground and the Pterosaur Zombies in the air. We can still avoid the Pterosaur Zombies by landing the Train on the ground, but there is no way to avoid the Dinosaur Zombies on the ground."
Everyone nodded in agreement. What Xia Liang said was indeed their current predicament.
