147: Chapter 147 Ghost Rider: I Will Protect the World

"Dracula."

The moment the three words were spoken.

A tall, thin man wearing a high-collared, pure black formal suit stepped out from the shadows beside Qin Ming without warning.

He walked up to Qin Ming, placed one hand over his left chest, and bowed slightly with extreme elegance.

The next second.

Dracula straightened up and spread his arms.

The black cloak behind him suddenly expanded outward, like two massive black fleshy wings.

There was a dull explosion.

Dracula's massive body disintegrated instantly, transforming into thousands of large, jet-black bats with glowing red eyes.

The dense swarm of bats circled once in mid-air, letting out sharp, piercing screeches.

Then, they dived down suddenly, like a black tornado, firmly enveloping Qin Ming and Emma within.

Black mist soared into the sky.

At an extreme speed, a visible white sonic boom cloud directly exploded in the air.

An eerie scene appeared in the sky.

As the massive cloud of black mist moved rapidly, the dark clouds in the sky seemed to be given life, beginning to converge and churn frantically.

Wherever the swarm of bats passed, the massive shadow was like a giant beast devouring light, casting a vast, deathly silence of darkness on the ground.

On the ground were two violent trails burning with Hellfire.

In the sky were the Vampire dark clouds that blotted out the sun and were oppressive to the extreme.

Saint Van Gonza Village.

That sinful land that had been cursed by Hell for centuries.

On the wilderness outside Saint Van Gonza Village, the warhorse burning with Hellfire reared its front hooves.

The flames on Carter Slade's body were instantly extinguished, receding completely.

His deeply wrinkled face showed extreme fatigue as his withered hands pulled the Winchester lever-action rifle from the saddlebag and tossed it to Johnny.

"Hold onto it." Carter pulled down the brim of his worn-out cowboy hat. "I've reached the end of my road. My power is completely exhausted; I don't even have enough to light a cigarette. The rest is up to you."

With that, the former Ghost Rider did not stay for a moment. Leading the thin horse that had returned to its original state, he turned and walked into the thick night.

Johnny glanced at the rifle in his hand and suddenly revved the throttle.

The tires screeched against the ground, and a violent line of fire cut straight into the ruins of Saint Van Gonza Village.

Meanwhile, in the square at the center of the village.

The sky-blotting swarm of black bats transformed into a tornado and crashed into the ground. As the black mist dissipated, Qin Ming stood steadily by a pile of rubble, holding Emma's hand.

A thick wooden stake stood right in the center of the square.

Johnny's ex-girlfriend was tied tightly to it, her face pale as she looked at the endless darkness around her in terror.

Before Qin Ming could step forward, a very dull, loud bang suddenly erupted in the air.

"Bang!"

A massive object burning with orange-red flames, like a cannonball fired from a barrel, smashed directly through the wall of the dilapidated wooden house on the left. Amidst the flying wood chips, it crashed heavily two meters away from Qin Ming's feet.

It was Johnny in his Ghost Rider form. He struggled to crawl up, his chains dragging across the ground and creating brilliant sparks.

A set of steady footsteps came from the shadows.

Witch-Heart Demon's face, as pale as paper, was revealed under the moonlight. "Where is the contract?" Witch-Heart Demon asked Johnny as he approached two steps, his peripheral vision inadvertently brushing over Qin Ming and Emma. "What the f*ck, why are you here?"

Qin Ming didn't shy away from his gaze, even pointing somewhat casually at Johnny on the ground: "It's in the inner pocket of his jacket. As for why I'm here, I just simply wanted to see how powerful that contract really is."

Johnny on the ground suddenly pushed himself up, the Hellfire on his skull surging by a whole circle.

"You can't!" Johnny roared as he stood up straight. "For the safety of the mortal realm, this thing must never fall into your hands!"

He forcefully swung the burning chain in his hand, whistling through the air as it slashed toward Witch-Heart Demon's head.

A trace of disdain flashed in Witch-Heart Demon's eyes, and he swatted it away with the back of his hand.

Pure demonic power exploded, and Johnny was sent flying again like a ragdoll, directly snapping a stone pillar at the edge of the square.

Under the massive impact, the roll of ancient parchment slid out from the inside of his leather jacket and rolled onto the muddy ground.

Witch-Heart Demon strode forward and bent down to pick it up.

Johnny took the opportunity to roll up. He didn't rush at Witch-Heart Demon again, but instead swung his chain forcefully.

The chain accurately wrapped around the wooden stake his girlfriend was tied to. With a hard pull, he uprooted the stake and pulled the woman behind him for protection.

Just as Witch-Heart Demon's fingers were about to touch the contract.

"Bang—!!!"

The deafening gunshot tore through the silence of the entire village.

Emma held the incredibly heavy azure rose with both hands. The intricate patterns on the barrel glowed with a piercing blue light due to the overloaded infusion of magic.

A highly compressed explosive round hit Witch-Heart Demon's chest with unerring accuracy.

The massive physical kinetic energy, mixed with the explosive tearing sensation, sent Witch-Heart Demon flying over a dozen meters away, stopping only after smashing through three earthen walls in succession.

"Well done, kid!" Johnny shouted and rushed over with heavy steps, prepared to give Witch-Heart Demon a fatal blow.

In the dust, Witch-Heart Demon stood up shakily, a large portion of the clothes on his chest blown to shreds.

He suddenly opened his mouth and spat out a storm of freezing black death energy.

Johnny, rushing forward, was hit head-on by this freezing storm. The Hellfire on his body was instantly suppressed to its limit, and his entire body was frozen into an ice sculpture, sent flying for the third time and crashing heavily into the ruins.

"Damn it," Witch-Heart Demon cursed under his breath, quickly walking back to the center of the square and grabbing the parchment scroll from the ground.

He held high this ancient contract cursed by Hell and laughed wildly toward the sky, his voice so sharp it made one's eardrums ache: "The world is mine!"

Without any hesitation, Witch-Heart Demon forcefully tore open the seal and suddenly unfurled the contract.

Johnny melted the ice on his body and watched this scene with eyes nearly bursting: "No!!!!"

The laughing expression instantly froze on Witch-Heart Demon's pale face.

Following that was a shrill scream that echoed through the night sky.

"Ah!!!!!"

Not a single one of the thousands of spiteful fallen souls flew out of the parchment.

Instead, there was an extremely pure Golden holy light that was ten thousand times more piercing than the midday sun.

The vast Power of purification was like a breached dam of lava, pouring directly into Witch-Heart Demon's seven orifices.

His skin began to carbonize inch by inch. Before the black demonic blood could even flow out of his body, it was completely evaporated by the holy light.

The flames on Johnny's skull flickered unnaturally twice. He changed back into human form and looked at the piercing golden light with a dazed expression.

"This isn't right, is it?" Johnny turned his head.

Qin Ming spread his hands: "Because I swapped it."
