26: Bronze Giant Pillar

Di Clan territory.

Di Wushang arrived outside the Ancestral Hall, his heart rippling with a hint of emotion. Two ancient stone statues stood on either side of the hall doors, their surfaces covered in the mottled traces of time, yet their stone pupils seemed capable of piercing through the human heart.

"Even the Asura Demonic Eyes cannot see through these two stone statues..." Di Wushang was secretly startled. Having been a Great Emperor in his previous life, he had seen countless rare treasures, but these two stone statues before him gave him an inexplicable sense of pressure, as if he were facing not inanimate objects, but slumbering ancient beings.

The Asura Demonic Eyes were one of his ultimate techniques from his previous life, capable of seeing through the Origin of matter.

However, the current Di Wushang was only at the True Essence Realm, though he had already achieved a Breakthrough from the Spirit Essence Realm to the True Essence Realm.

He had only just begun to Cultivate the Asura Demonic Eyes.

"Come in."

A calm voice drifted from within the hall; it wasn't loud, yet it seemed to ring directly in Di Wushang's mind. He took a deep breath, straightened his robes, and stepped into the Ancestral Hall.

Di Shenglong stood with his back to Di Wushang.

His Asura Demonic Eyes instinctively began to operate, wanting to see through the depth of this Clan Chief. However, when he looked at Di Shenglong, he felt as if he were looking at a boundless starry sky—profound, vast, and limitless.

"This..." Di Wushang was horrified. In his previous life, he was the Asura Demon Venerable with the cultivation of a Great Emperor. Even if his strength had not yet recovered, his vision remained. Yet at this moment, he actually could not see through the depths of this young Clan Chief at all!

"What, are you surprised?"

Di Shenglong turned around, a faint smile playing on his lips. His eyes seemed to contain the entire starry sky; as the starlight flowed, they appeared capable of seeing through all illusions.

Di Wushang quickly composed himself and bowed respectfully: "Greetings, Clan Chief."

"No need for such formalities." Di Shenglong lightly raised his hand, and a gentle force lifted Di Wushang up.

"You are quite good."

When Di Wushang's branch returned to Xuantian City, Di Shenglong had already noticed him. Similarly, Di Jintian and Di Qingge's talents were also very good, all of which he had observed.

Di Wushang's heart tightened. Had he been discovered?

Seemingly sensing his concern, Di Shenglong said calmly: "Everyone has their own Opportunity and secrets; I will not pry. As long as your heart is with the Family, you are a member of the Di Clan."

These words allowed Di Wushang to breathe a sigh of relief, while his admiration for this young Clan Chief grew. With such magnanimity, it was no wonder he could lead the Di Clan to rise.

"Clan Chief, I have come this time to report an important matter," Di Wushang said seriously.

"Oh?" Di Shenglong's eyes moved slightly. "Let's hear it."

Di Wushang raised his hand and traced a rune in the Void Realm. The rune shimmered with dark gold light, slowly transforming into a three-dimensional projection. The image displayed was exactly that of the Giant Bronze Pillar beneath Beichuan City.

"This kid is indeed not simple," Di Shenglong thought. Just the act of casually tracing runes showed he was no ordinary person.

"This is..." Di Shenglong's gaze instantly became sharp.

"Deep within the earth veins of Beichuan City, this Disciple accidentally discovered this Giant Bronze Pillar," Di Wushang explained. "The pillar is inscribed with ancient runes that resonate with the Di Clan Bloodline. This Disciple suspects that this object may be related to the Family's Origins."

Di Shenglong stared at the projection, starlight swirling in his eyes. After a moment, he suddenly raised his hand, and a beam of starlight shot from his fingertip, merging into the image of the Giant Bronze Pillar.

Buzz—

The projection vibrated violently. The runes on the surface of the Giant Bronze Pillar lit up one by one, finally condensing into an ancient character for "Di" in the Void Realm!

Deep within the earth veins of Beichuan City.

Di Shenglong stood before the Giant Bronze Pillar with a solemn expression. The pillar was hundreds of feet tall, dark cyan in color, and covered with dense ancient runes. At this moment, these runes were emitting a faint glow, as if responding to Di Shenglong's arrival.

"Clan Chief, these runes..." Di Wushang hesitated. With the knowledge from his previous life, he actually couldn't recognize the Origin of these runes.

Di Shenglong did not answer but slowly reached out and pressed his hand against the Giant Bronze Pillar.

Boom!

A majestic aura erupted from the pillar, causing the entire earth vein space to tremble. Di Wushang had to circulate his spiritual power to resist the pressure, his heart filled with shock. The power contained within this Giant Bronze Pillar was actually so terrifying!

What surprised him even more was that Di Shenglong stood there motionless, his robes fluttering loudly, yet he was completely unaffected. On the contrary, the light emitted by the pillar grew brighter and brighter, eventually transforming into a light Dragon that circled around Di Shenglong.

"Bloodline resonance..." Di Wushang murmured to himself. He clearly felt that a mysterious connection had formed between the Giant Bronze Pillar and Di Shenglong.

Just then, Di Shenglong suddenly turned to look at Di Wushang, a strange look flashing in his eyes: "The aura on your body has changed again."

Di Wushang's heart skipped a beat. Just now, the moment the Giant Bronze Pillar erupted with pressure, the Asura Star Art within him automatically activated, and a portion of his past life's power was triggered. He hadn't expected such a subtle change to be detected by Di Shenglong.

"This Disciple..."

"No need to explain." Di Shenglong waved his hand, his gaze returning to the Giant Bronze Pillar. "I said, everyone has their own Opportunity."

Di Wushang secretly breathed a sigh of relief, while gaining a deeper understanding of this Clan Chief's unfathomable nature.

In the Forbidden Ground behind the Di Clan, Di Shenglong stood alone before the pillar.

"It seems this Giant Bronze Pillar has a great connection with the Di Clan ancestors; I can vaguely feel my Bloodline stirring."

"Could it be that my Di Clan has some grand Origin?"

The Giant Bronze Pillar before him was impressively a Sacred Artifact—at least, that was all Di Shenglong could discern for now.

Di Shenglong carefully recalled the development history of the Family.

Eight hundred years ago, the Di Clan ancestor, Di Lingshuang, came to Xuantian City and founded the Di Clan, which has been passed down until today; there was no mistake about that.

Then it must be something from before the ancestor arrived at Xuantian City.

It appeared the Di Clan was not as simple as Di Shenglong had thought.

He looked up toward the top of the pillar, where a blurred mark was carved. The mark seemed simple, yet it contained the supreme true meaning of the Great Dao.

Di Shenglong then pressed his palm against the pillar. Instantly, countless starlights surged from the pillar, enveloping his entire body. Faintly, ancient chanting seemed to echo in the starry sky... Meanwhile, in another part of the Family, Di Wushang stood by the window, watching the starlight soaring from the direction of the Forbidden Ground, a complex look flashing in his eyes.

"Clan Chief, just who on earth are you..."

He looked down at his palm, where a dark golden pattern had appeared. It was a mark left in his body by a trace of power from the Giant Bronze Pillar.

Although Di Shenglong did not pursue his secrets, he knew that his Clan Chief was far more unfathomable than he appeared on the surface.

"Perhaps, following such a Clan Chief, my Reincarnation and re-cultivation as the Asura Demon Venerable is actually a stroke of luck..."

At this moment, he let go of the obsession in his heart; he was no longer the high-and-mighty Asura Demon Venerable, but a Di Clan Member, Di Wushang.

In this life, he would surely surpass his previous life and reach unprecedented heights.

The night wind blew, and starlight fell. The Di Clan territory seemed exceptionally quiet that night, yet undercurrents were surging. The appearance of the Giant Bronze Pillar seemed to herald new changes for the Di Clan. And all of this was just the beginning...
