509: Burial of Soldiers

"Clan Chief Returning to Ruins, you overpraise me."

Di Wushang's expression remained unchanged as he gave a slight nod.

The pride of the Asura Demon Venerable allowed him to accept this praise calmly.

"I ask for the Clan Chief's assistance in granting me the token to enter the Tianxu Forbidden Land."

"This is only right."

Di Guixu said no more and made a stroke in the Void Realm with his fingertip.

A streak of ink-colored light flowed from his fingertip, quickly condensing into a palm-sized black token.

On the front of the token was an intricate character for 'Ruins'.

"This is the Ruins Guidance Token."

Di Guixu handed the token to Di Wushang with a solemn expression.

"Holding this token will allow you to enter the Tianxu Forbidden Land and guide you along the correct path to the Buried Weapon Abyss. But remember, this token can only protect you until you reach the outer edges of the abyss."

"Once you step into the abyss, space is chaotic, Laws are shattered, and the Weapon Soul Evil Qi erodes all things; everything will depend on you! This token cannot protect you as you go deeper into the core. Even a Great Saint would find it hard to escape death and the dissipation of their Dao if they forced their way in! You must act according to your capabilities!"

"This Junior understands. Thank you, Clan Chief Returning to Ruins!"

Di Wushang took the Ruins Guidance Token.

“Time is of the essence; you should set off immediately.”

Di Guixu stood up and personally escorted Di Wushang out of the hall.

He watched as Di Wushang's back, straight as a spear and brimming with restrained Evil Qi, disappeared. After a long while, he let out a meaningful sigh.

"Clan Leader Shenglong... just what kind of game are you playing? The secrets buried deep within the Tianxu Forbidden Land... has the time truly come for them to see the light of day again?"

He looked toward the core of the Forbidden Ground, shrouded in Chaos mist. For the first time, the Saint King's eyes revealed deep apprehension along with a trace of inexplicable anticipation.

Di Wushang’s intrusion might be the opportunity to uncover what has been sealed for ages.

Dragon Locking Prefecture, Tianxu Forbidden Land.

This place seemed forgotten by time, filled with a vast and ancient aura like that of the primordial era.

Towering black mountains, like the backs of sleeping behemoths, rolled continuously toward the clouds. The mountains were covered in strange, dark, iron-like vegetation, showing mottled traces of erosion from the passage of time.

The air was filled with dense Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi, but it also contained an invisible spatial pressure that made entrants feel as if they were carrying a mountain on their backs.

Space here appeared in unstable folds; distorted light or fleeting spatial cracks could be seen from time to time.

In the distance, the skeletal remains of massive, unknown creatures were half-buried in the mountains, emitting a heart-palpitating ancient pressure.

Further in, Chaos-colored mist churned and surged, obscuring all perception. That was the true core area that even the Tianxu Di Clan kept as a deep secret.

Di Wushang appeared atop a solitary peak on the outskirts of the Forbidden Ground.

Holding the Ruins Guidance Token, the token emitted a soft, ink-colored glow, forming a thin barrier that enveloped him.

His blood-red eyes flashed like lightning as he pushed his Asura Demonic Eyes to their limit, attempting to pierce through the churning Chaos mist. However, as far as he could see, there was only a landscape of distorted, broken light and shadows and violent energy turbulence, like a boiling sea of doomsday.

"Buried Weapon Abyss..."

He murmured to himself. The Ruins Guidance Token provided clear direction, with the source located deep within that Chaos.

The asura god-slaying spear vibrated violently, emitting a yearning hum. Blood-colored slaughtering Qi surged uncontrollably from his body, faintly resonating with this ancient land.

Without hesitation, Di Wushang stepped off the solitary peak. His figure transformed into a streak of blood-red light, and under the protection of the Ruins Guidance Token's barrier, he charged resolutely toward the all-consuming Chaos mist!

At the very moment his figure vanished into the mist.

Deep within the Forbidden Ground, at the core of the churning Chaos mist, lay a massive abyss piled high with countless broken divine weapons.

A fragment of a divine spear, thrust diagonally into the jagged rocks, dark red and covered in cracks yet still emitting a terrifying aura that made ten thousand weapons submit and gods bleed, seemed to sense the approach of its own kind. It suddenly erupted with a visible ripple of dark-red blood light!

Buzz—!

Wherever the ripple passed, the surrounding violent spatial turbulence and the Weapon Soul Evil Qi were instantly dispersed and annihilated, as if they had met their natural enemy!

From deep beneath the abyss, a low, satisfied sigh seemed to echo, as if a Vicious Beast that had slept for ages had opened its crimson eyes.

Di Wushang's figure was like a drop of ink dropped into boiling water, instantly swallowed by the churning Chaos mist.

The ink-colored glow from the Ruins Guidance Token brightened abruptly the moment it touched the mist, turning into a resilient barrier that firmly protected him.

However, the expected violent spatial turbulence, shattered Law storms, and the Weapon Soul Evil Qi—capable of defiling one's Primordial Spirit—did not arrive as anticipated.

There was no deafening roar of energy, no overwhelming storm of destruction. There was only dead silence.

A heart-palpitating silence, as if all things had been frozen.

It was as if he had stepped into a vacuum forgotten by time.

Beyond the glow of the Ruins Guidance Token, the Chaos mist churned like boiling water, filled with distorted light and violent energy turbulence. They roared and tore, yet were strangely blocked by an invisible barrier, unable to penetrate the glow in the slightest.

It felt like being in the eye of a storm, a strange pocket of tranquility.

A sharp light burst from Di Wushang's blood-red eyes as he fully activated his Asura Demonic Eyes, trying to see through this abnormal tranquility.

"A place devoid of people..."

Warning bells rang wildly in Di Wushang's heart. Instead of relaxing, he pushed the power of his Asura Demon God Body to its limit, the blood-red Evil Qi around him flaring like a burning dark-red fire.

It was too smooth! Abnormally smooth!

Even the Tianxu Di Clan Chief, Di Guixu, had been secretive and apprehensive when speaking of this place. Why was it like walking on level ground for him, a mere Law Realm Cultivator?

Could this Buried Weapon Abyss have some unknown connection to him?

He looked down at the god slaying spear gripped in his hand. At this moment, its humming had reached an extreme, its blood-light blinding. It emitted an unprecedented hunger and excitement, pointing toward a specific direction deep within the Chaos mist, its pull so strong it almost flew out of his hand!

Di Wushang’s gaze was sharp as a blade as he stared at the restless god slaying spear.

He no longer hesitated. Following the strong pull of the fragment, he shot toward the depths of the mist like a blood-red meteor.

Wherever he passed, the Chaos receded, the turbulence calmed, and the Evil Qi was annihilated, opening a straight and eerie path for him.

This passage seemed to have been opened specifically for him.

After traveling for only about the time it takes for half an incense stick to burn, the churning Chaos mist ahead suddenly parted to both sides, like a heavy curtain being drawn back.

A wondrous sight burst into Di Wushang’s vision!

Before him was a massive abyss, and beneath it lay countless broken, twisted, rusted, and even halved giant weapons!

Sabers, spears, swords, halberds, axes, battle-axes, hooks, and forks... they were of various shapes and unknown materials, bearing mottled dried bloodstains, deep cracks, and ancient runes that, though long faded, still inspired heart-palpitating dread.

The air was thick with a strong smell of blood, as well as the overwhelming resentment and slaughtering Qi of billions of divine weapons unwilling to perish!

This was the core of the Buried Weapon Abyss!

A tomb of death constructed from the remains of countless fallen divine weapons and demonic artifacts!

In the center of this ground composed of weapon remains, an irregular fragment of a divine weapon was thrust diagonally.

A pure, destructive slaughtering Qi that reigned over all weapons, made gods bleed, and forced ten thousand demons to bow, continuously radiated from it, forming a visible ripple of dark-red blood light that slightly distorted the surrounding space.

The third fragment of the asura god-slaying spear!
