60: Chapter 60: Map Implantation! Five more days!

"There are hidden rewards on the island?"

"Damn! Why didn't they say so earlier? If I'd known, I would've chosen to explore the island."

"I wonder what the rewards will be."

"They probably won't be bad. Just look at the rewards the Dragon Country Contestant got and you'll know."

"If we can get firearms, that would be awesome!"

"..."

The nations that still had National Destiny Bearers were all in an uproar.

The existence of hidden rewards gave them a new sense of hope.

The hope of surpassing Dragon Country and crushing An Ke.

If they could obtain powerful abilities or helpers,

then they could surpass Dragon Country and take first place!

Even if they couldn't find any, it didn't matter; completing the mission quickly to get rewards would serve the same purpose.

Meanwhile, with the start of the new mission,

everyone in the National Fortune Game could sense their own exploration progress on the deserted island.

Furthermore, a "map" had been implanted into their minds.

The National Destiny Bearers only needed to concentrate to make this map appear before their retinas,

just like a holographic projection.

This map not only clearly showed their current location but also the areas they had already charted.

All the National Destiny Bearers were shocked, including An Ke.

However, the pleasant surprise in An Ke's heart far outweighed the shock.

Because his Spider Sense had arrived.

From now on, whenever danger approached, he could sense it in advance and thus avoid it.

Undoubtedly, his survival rate had increased further.

"Heaven is truly helping me!" An Ke exclaimed with deep emotion.

The National Fortune Game had just released a new mission requiring contestants to explore the island.

What was the biggest problem with exploring the island?

Naturally, it was encountering danger.

With Spider Sense, An Ke could better explore this island.

Of course! Even without the mission,

An Ke would have chosen to explore the island; however, the National Fortune Survival mission confirmed one thing for him.

That was that this was a large island, and all the contestants were on the same island.

Previously, An Ke had thought the contestants were distributed across different islands.

Looking at it now, that wasn't the case.

Instead, everyone was on a single island.

An Ke made up his mind to be the first to complete the mission before anyone else.

At the same time, he wanted to obtain as many hidden rewards hidden on the island and in the nearby waters as possible.

After all, heaven only knew if the upcoming beast raids would become increasingly terrifying.

There were eight bulls last night; would there be twenty next?

Fifty?

Even hundreds!

Once the numbers exceeded a certain range, even with the Leopard, Monkey troop, and Bees,

An Ke wouldn't be able to protect his Camp.

He knew he couldn't blindly rely on Natural Affinity—for instance, last night.

His Natural Affinity had no effect on that herd of bulls.

He had to rely on other things to improve his combat strength.

Mission rewards and hidden rewards were the best choices!

Speaking of Natural Affinity, An Ke hadn't checked it often since it leveled up.

He might as well take a look now.

To An Ke's surprise, the next upgrade for Natural Affinity would be in about five days.

You should know that his first upgrade took a full seven days.

Now that the level had increased, was it actually upgrading faster?

"Could it be because of the many animals around me?"

"Or is it because I frequently communicate with animals?"

An Ke speculated.

But if he wanted the answer, he would have to keep a constant eye on it.

An Ke simply stopped thinking about it.

Anyway, it only brought him benefits and no harm.

The priority now was to hurry and complete the mission.

If another contestant beat him to it, it would be a huge loss.

With Spider Sense, even being alone was no problem.

As long as he encountered an unmanageable crisis, he would leave immediately.

Thinking of this, An Ke tried to "open" his map.

Everyone had this after the new mission was released.

As An Ke concentrated his mental energy, a map quickly appeared out of thin air in the void before him.

"It really is like some kind of high-tech gadget."

An Ke simply found it marvelous.

It was just like a holographic projection that could be adjusted according to his thoughts,

zooming in or out.

This map showed all the places An Ke had ever been to.

For example, the beach he often visited, the stream, the Camp, the banana grove, the Monkey troop's habitat, and the former location of the beehive.

At the same time, there was an arrow marking An Ke's current location.

With a map, An Ke wouldn't get lost even if he didn't memorize the paths.

In the jungle, the most terrifying thing was losing one's sense of direction.

Now An Ke no longer had to fear that.

Of course! The same applied to the other contestants.

Except for the areas An Ke had explored,

the rest of the map was covered in a fog, making it impossible to see what was there.

One had to explore personally to clear the fog.

An Ke wasn't surprised by this.

Many games were like this.

However, what An Ke didn't understand were the dozens of question mark prompts in the top right corner.

An Ke couldn't help but frown and ponder: "What is this?"

He tried to click on these mysterious numbers with his consciousness.

Unfortunately, he didn't see or hear any prompts.

"Could it be the hidden mysterious rewards mentioned in the announcement?"

He shook his head; it was impossible to know the answer without obtaining one of the mysterious rewards first.

So An Ke decisively withdrew his thoughts.

He finally looked at his island exploration progress.

[Dragon Country Contestant: An Ke!

Island Exploration Progress: 0.08%]

An Ke felt a headache. "Good grief! It hasn't even reached 0.1?"

He had previously felt that the area he'd explored was quite large.

He didn't expect it to be just the tip of the iceberg of the island.

It made sense; if the island weren't large,

many contestants would have probably run into each other long ago.

When An Ke snapped back to his senses, he found that the Leopard had returned at some point.

Its sudden appearance gave An Ke a start.

Because the Leopard had no hostility toward him, Spider Sense naturally didn't trigger.

"Xiao Bao, where did you go?" An Ke asked.

"Patrolling the territory!" the Leopard replied respectfully.

An Ke nodded in understanding; that was reasonable.

"Xiao Bao, I'm going out for a bit. You are responsible for guarding the Camp."

"If any creature approaches the Camp, kill it directly."

"Understood!" The Leopard nodded in response, then paused and asked,

"If the Emergency Rations and the others come over, should I kill them too?"

An Ke gave a dry cough. "That's naturally not necessary..."

"Any animals that are close to me must not be killed," An Ke warned.

Was he joking? The monkeys were an important force for him.

An Ke had originally intended to set out alone.

But after thinking about it, he decided to wait for Little Scar and the others.

He would have them go explore with him.

With Little Scar and the others around, exploration would be smoother.

Even if they encountered danger, they could choose to resolve it and keep moving forward,

rather than having to take a detour.

Soon, the familiar sounds of monkey cries came from outside the Camp.

"They're finally here!"

An Ke's eyes lit up, and he immediately walked out of the Camp.

It was time to explore the island!
