16: Chapter 17 Provoking Trouble

"Is this seat perhaps inscribed with someone's exclusive name, such that we cannot sit here?"

An Xin placed his tray directly onto the table and said calmly.

"Just sit."

Seeing An Xin so composed, Gao Qilan felt the anxiety in her heart subside a little.

Just as An Xin and Gao Qilan were chatting happily, a very rude voice interrupted them.

"Freshman, you've got some nerve, actually daring to take my seat!"

Zhou Bin glared at An Xin coldly, his tone laced with anger.

"First come, first served."

An Xin didn't even turn his head.

"You actually dare to disregard me!"

Zhou Bin had been arrogant for so long, and this was the first time he had encountered a troublemaker like An Xin. His eyes turned cold, and he wanted to drag An Xin up from the seat.

An Xin exerted force secretly. Zhou Bin's face flushed red. As their strengths clashed, An Xin turned around and shoved Zhou Bin away.

Zhou Bin stumbled back two steps, nearly landing on his backside.

However, this was already incredibly embarrassing for him.

He hadn't expected An Xin, who looked frail and weak, to have such strength. Not only did he push him away, but he also made him lose face in front of everyone.

"You actually dare to lay a hand on me!"

For so long, no other student had dared to offend him; they all fawned over him.

An Xin had now effectively touched his sore spot.

"Young Master Zhou, are you alright!"

Chu Xue'er immediately stepped forward, helped Zhou Bin up, and asked with concern.

"I'm fine!"

Being helped up by a woman was just too embarrassing, and Zhou Bin's expression turned completely sour.

He impatiently pushed Chu Xue'er away.

"As long as they are students of the School of Engineering, everyone knows this seat belongs to me, Zhou Bin. You've occupied it, and now you even dare to strike me first? I think you're looking for death!"

Zhou Bin said, sounding like a madman.

"This seat is yours? Is your name written on it? Did you buy it? I really didn't know when the school's public seats became someone's private property."

An Xin said, sounding a bit impatient.

He wanted to hog a seat in front of him? He should dream on.

"You're that guy from the school gate earlier?"

Zhou Bin scrutinized An Xin and finally recognized where he had seen him before.

"I was wondering who had the guts to occupy my seat; to think it was you, this troublemaker!"

In one sentence, he labeled An Xin a troublemaker.

"Looking at your pathetic, penniless appearance, you probably only came here to treat someone to a meal to deceive a girl. If you don't have money, stop acting like a big shot."

Zhou Bin was extremely displeased with An Xin right now.

Yesterday, after seeing the video online, he immediately took an interest in Liu Yuxi. He went to her today, but he hadn't expected that stubborn girl to actually dare to refuse him.

She even said that she preferred An Xin.

It was nothing more than An Xin acting like a hero at the school gate once; what was there to like about that?

That fifty thousand yuan might be four years of living expenses for these students, but for Zhou Bin, it was just pocket change he would spend on a gift for his girlfriend.

He was a popular figure, at least, yet he had now hit a snag just trying to get a girl's contact information.

Furthermore, An Xin's current popularity in school made Zhou Bin feel a sense of crisis.

Between old grudges and new ones, Zhou Bin was now so angry he was practically fuming.

"Oh."

Penniless?

Heh, he had a system now. Any random task it assigned could crush Zhou Bin. He still wanted to act like a rich young master in front of him? His skin was as thick as a city wall.

An Xin wouldn't get angry over words that didn't describe him.

"Try this, it's delicious!"

An Xin not only treated Zhou Bin like air, but he even flirted with Gao Qilan as if no one else were around.

Gao Qilan looked at An Xin uneasily, shifting her body from time to time, as if there were nails on her chair.

She didn't want to get into any arguments with classmates, but she knew that the best thing she could do right now was nothing, so as not to cause trouble for An Xin!

"Damn it, I've really given you too much face!"

Zhou Bin's anger reached its peak at this moment; the feeling of being ignored and provoked had completely consumed him.

He kicked An Xin's chair hard.

An Xin didn't hold back at all; he stood up and slammed the food tray in his hand onto Zhou Bin's head.

The juices from the food slowly slid down from Zhou Bin's head.

Zhou Bin widened his eyes in disbelief, as if it were the first time he had encountered such a thing.

"What are you doing here! This is the cafeteria, fighting is not allowed!"

The student union nearby had long seen the situation here.

However, Zhou Bin was used to being arrogant, and the words of the student union meant nothing to him.

But now that it was An Xin who had made a move, they could naturally step in to stop it.

"Some people were bullying a classmate, and I merely made a counterattack in self-defense. How come when he was shouting here just now, you all acted like fools, but now that I've counterattacked, you've suddenly grown eyes?"

An Xin asked with a smile, though the sarcasm in his words was unmistakable.

But meeting his gaze, for some reason, the people from the student union felt an indescribable panic in their hearts, as if they had truly done something wrong.

"No matter what happened, it's wrong for you to fight in the cafeteria!"

The student union member was filled with an indescribable sense of guilt, but he still tried to force a calm appearance to bolster his confidence.

"Get lost, who needs you!"

Zhou Bin shoved those student union members aside.

"Damn it, if you've got guts, dare to compete with me?"

Zhou Bin's eyes darted, and he gritted his teeth as he spoke.

"Compete in what?"

An Xin asked lazily.

"You saw at a glance earlier that the car was a modified one, so you must have some expertise with cars. Let's race. Jinghai Park Racetrack, do you dare to come?"

Racing was also Zhou Bin's specialty; he wasn't even weak compared to professional racers. He was certain An Xin wouldn't dare to agree to this.

"Sure, but what's the wager?"

It's just a car race!

An Xin really wasn't afraid of him.

"Whoever loses will kneel on the ground on the sports field and call the other 'Daddy'!"

Zhou Bin was convinced he could defeat An Xin with his skills. He had never heard of An Xin's name at any well-known racetrack.

By using his own strength to face the enemy, when mentioning the wager, he naturally thought of every means to make An Xin lose face.
