21: Chapter 22 Don't Forget to Call Me Dad
An Xin pretended not to hear Gao Qilan's voice, his foot pressed all the way down on the accelerator.
Even with a sharp turn ahead, he didn't show any sign of slowing down.
The entire track was under full surveillance, and the crowd outside gasped when they saw An Xin's speed.
Even the most experienced racers, who knew this road like the back of their hands, wouldn't dare to accelerate through any of the turns.
Yet An Xin, who had only been familiar with the route for half an hour, dared to do just that—it was practically a death wish!
"This guy probably won't make it out alive..." a professional racer muttered to himself.
He couldn't imagine how anyone could maintain such speed on this steep, winding mountain road.
What made everyone's heart stop was that half of An Xin's car was already hanging over the edge.
Screams erupted one after another, filling the entire racetrack.
Zhou Bin, who was tailgating An Xin, couldn't help but feel a surge of wild joy when he saw An Xin's car drift over the edge.
He had been following An Xin closely the whole time, but he hadn't expected An Xin's speed to be this insane.
Even with all his might, he couldn't even catch a whiff of An Xin's exhaust.
If An Xin's car were to fly off the track, it would solve his current problem immediately.
"Victory coming so quickly is a bit overwhelming!"
Zhou Bin sighed helplessly, his face filled with the joy of victory.
But the next second, what made Zhou Bin's heart stop was seeing An Xin's car navigate the turn perfectly, rushing down the track without the slightest hesitation.
"What the hell!"
Is this something a human can do?
Such a maneuver could probably only be seen in higher-level professional racing competitions.
Being able to control the car and the track so skillfully, and making the best reaction even in the most critical situations...
This wasn't something a normal person could achieve!
In just ten short minutes, An Xin had finished the entire track.
And by the time he reached the finish line, Zhou Bin's car was still at the second-to-last turn.
"Winning so easily... sigh, how boring!"
An Xin chuckled, feigning helplessness as he spoke.
The onlookers nearby felt like they were going to vomit blood upon seeing An Xin's attitude.
You're making victory sound way too simple!
Even for them, beating Zhou Bin wasn't an easy task, and this track was the one Zhou Bin knew best!
A competition between someone who didn't know the road and a battle-hardened veteran, and An Xin's car wasn't even as good as Zhou Bin's!
Zhou Bin's car was custom-built for racing, costing tens of millions, so An Xin's stock car naturally couldn't compare.
Yet, just when everyone doubted him, An Xin had achieved victory!
He had thoroughly slapped the faces of everyone who didn't believe in him.
The value of An Xin's victory was incredibly high!
"How does it feel? Wasn't it like flying?"
Gao Qilan stepped out of An Xin's car, trembling, feeling as if her soul had left her body.
"It's... a special feeling."
When she was in the car, looking at the cliffs, she was clearly worried.
But after seeing An Xin's calm expression, those worries transformed into complete trust in him.
It felt as though as long as An Xin was by her side, everything would be alright!
Later on, she became completely immersed in the race, truly feeling the speed of the wind.
Only by fully committing herself could she experience that exhilarating sensation.
"Do you want to experience it again next time?"
An Xin knew Gao Qilan would definitely love it.
In his past life, after Gao Qilan became famous, although he didn't follow her news, he knew that Gao Qilan was a renowned extreme sports enthusiast!
She could be seen in many dangerous places.
This meant that Gao Qilan was definitely not a girl who liked a quiet life.
Meeting An Xin's gaze, Gao Qilan nodded firmly: "I like it. If there's a chance next time, we can try it again!"
A good while after An Xin had arrived, Zhou Bin's car finally arrived, late!
He stared coldly at An Xin, looking at him as if he were his mortal enemy.
He had gathered so many of his brothers here this time, originally to watch An Xin make a fool of himself, but now, he had instead witnessed his own humiliation.
"Damn it!"
Zhou Bin said angrily.
His heart was filled with uncontrollable rage.
"What's wrong?"
An Xin continued to speak with a smile.
After all, who wouldn't be happy after winning a race!
Oh right, everyone was happy except for Zhou Bin and his friends.
"You just used some underhanded tricks!"
Zhou Bin gritted his teeth and said.
"Don't you have surveillance here? Tell me directly what underhanded tricks I used. If you can name even one, I'll admit you won right now."
An Xin had anticipated Zhou Bin's desperation, but he didn't expect Zhou Bin to outright accuse him of cheating!
Heh, right and wrong are clear to everyone; why would there be any need to cheat!
"Zhou Bin, don't say that. We all saw the whole race. At the turns, he really didn't slow down!"
Turns are the easiest places to overtake and also the easiest places to slow down, yet An Xin's speed never wavered.
This was An Xin's own skill; there was no need to slander him at this point.
"This time, I'll count it as your win!"
Zhou Bin let out a breath, gritting his teeth as he spoke.
Heaven knows, when he said those words, a sense of humiliation and anger had completely consumed him!
"It's good that you admit it. Tonight, don't forget to call me Dad on the playground. Sigh, school has only been open for a few days, and I've already gained a son. I'm strangely not used to it yet!"
An Xin laughed it off. Zhou Bin had proposed the bet himself; since he dared to make the wager, he had to bear the consequences!
"Don't you bully people too much!"
Zhou Bin's face turned beet red!
Calling An Xin 'Dad' in front of so many people was no different from stepping on his own dignity and grinding it into the dirt!
"You were the one who proposed it yourself; it has nothing to do with me. What? You're only scared now, realizing you did the wrong thing?"
An Xin sneered disdainfully.
"Be forgiving where you can; you're all classmates, there's no need to make the relationship so tense!"
