8: Section 8

For the sake of convenience in daily life, the two above-ground floors were arranged in a staggered layout, connected by a spiral staircase.

The first floor was divided into a warehouse, a swimming pool (half indoor, half outdoor), a bathroom, a restroom, and a large living room.

The second floor contained a dining room, a kitchen, two guest bedrooms, a master bedroom, and a balcony that doubled as a tea room extending out from the cliff face.

The underground space was currently a vast, empty area supported by three natural rock pillars; he planned to transform it into his own manufacturing workshop in the future.

If the entire project were to be fully realized, it would be a doomsday shelter embedded within the heart of the mountain.

Its final usable area would reach as much as 1.8 square kilometers!

Of course.

Such a massive undertaking.

Even with a rule-level Gathering skill, it was impossible to complete instantly.

Two hours passed, and Su Ming, working without pause, had only managed to roughly hollow out the first-floor mountain space and fully establish the basement.

Putting aside all work.

He cast a Cleaning Spell on himself.

Su Ming soon fell asleep; he had to keep fighting the Kobolds tomorrow, so sleep had to be guaranteed.

What Su Ming didn't know.

Was that his frantic activity had once again dazzled the little angel Zhixin in low Earth orbit.

As she recorded and analyzed various never-before-seen data, Zhixin actually felt a bit overwhelmed... though, to be honest, while this kid was a bit fragile, he was actually quite good-looking!

Chapter 9: Zhixin's Surprise

Well.

She said she was paying attention, but in reality.

Zhixin had only allocated less than 1% of her calculation threads to synchronize the data associated with Su Ming in real-time.

But...

That didn't mean Zhixin didn't value Su Ming.

Quite the opposite.

Zhixin, who had recently successfully retired after putting on a bloody battlefield performance in front of Queen Anixid, was now focusing the vast majority of her attention on that data!

Limited by his personal knowledge.

Su Ming would never know just how much information he carried from his travels to Azeroth that was enough to subvert the worldview of the Super God Universe.

A large amount of non-native mass from outside this universe!

Suspected naturally occurring high-energy particles capable of helping carbon-based life ascend their life hierarchy!

And that unheard-of conceptual superpower that could manipulate the composition of matter by relying solely on one's own bio-energy! Yet, during the process, Zhixin hadn't detected even a single hint of a dark energy reaction.

Simply put.

There was a wealth of evidence proving.

That during the time Su Ming disappeared from the Known Universe, he had once again traveled to another world!

"Did he go home?"

As soon as this conjecture appeared, Zhixin shook her head and dismissed it:

"Impossible. When he first arrived, he was just an ordinary mortal... the results of reverse-Engineering his living environment also indicate that this child should have been born on an ordinary life-bearing planet, no different from a normal Earthling."

"But... then there's only one possibility left: he has traveled to another universe once again!"

"A universe completely different from any within our knowledge!"

More importantly...

This time, the child's traversal was an active behavior!

The question arose.

How was such an ability achieved?

What kind of existence model was Su Ming's controllable, frequent world-traveling superpower?

Furthermore, what kind of world was the other world that Su Ming was currently exploring in an orderly fashion?

And how was that conceptual-level reality-interference ability on Su Ming's person achieved while bypassing Super Gene Engineering?

All of the above.

Were merely the most superficial questions in Zhixin's mind.

As for thinking deeper...

Even Zhixin felt that her small frame couldn't handle it!

For no other reason.

Su Ming's existence was enough to shake many things!

At the very least, the Super Gene Engineering pioneered by the Shenhe Civilization would no longer be the only path for a civilization's advancement or for life to achieve eternity!

On this point alone, the entire Known Universe would be in an uproar!

"Fortunately, by Queen Keisha's blessing, it was the Angels who found you first..."

...

The next day.

In front of his stone house, Su Ming, who was roughly roasting a piece of beast meat, casually cast a Cleaning Spell on himself to solve his personal hygiene issues.

Then.

He took out a Stone-skinned Wild Boar skeleton.

After some picking and choosing.

Two tusks over twenty centimeters long and a 2.5-meter section of spine were selected.

He followed up with several Gathering skills.

By the time Su Ming took the aforementioned items out of his backpack again, they had completely changed in appearance.

The matter-shaping mechanism of Gathering L2 had done great work.

In a few blinks of an eye, the two boar tusks had actually been shaped and modified into thirty-centimeter-long Bone Triangular Military Spikes!

And the spine of the Stone-skinned Wild Boar had been polished into a sharp-edged, well-defined super morning star!

Regrettably.

This experimental fine-processing of materials was not entirely satisfactory.

The Bone Triangular Military Spikes were okay, barely gaining recognition from the Comprehensive Network system and being rated as grey junk.

But the Spinal Morning Star that Su Ming valued most was a failure; not only did it fail to get system recognition, but it might fall apart on the spot if too much force was used.

"Dammit! Isn't it just because I lack reliable crafting abilities?"

"I'll make a trip to Goldshire in these next few days!"

"Once I learn Smithing, Tailoring, Jewelcrafting, Enchanting, and Engineering, I don't believe I won't be able to utilize this backpack full of materials!"

Having set his short-term goals, Su Ming quickly finished his breakfast.

He hurried down to the Rock Tribe at the foot of the mountain.

He mentioned to the hunter uncle that he would be busy finishing the renovations at home alone recently, so Uncle Mu didn't need to pay too much attention.

After that.

Under the pretext of thanking Uncle Mu for taking him in.

He pretended to work hard for several trips, delivering several baskets of firewood to the uncle's house.

Uncle Mu and his wife were simple people; they knew that with winter approaching, nothing provided more peace of mind than firewood, so they refused repeatedly and tried various excuses to decline.

Su Ming ignored all that, putting down the firewood and turning to leave on his own.

When he got tired of the refusals, he gave Uncle Mu a demonstration of what it meant to have strength that could pluck up mountains.

When Su Ming lifted a stone block weighing several hundred kilograms without breaking a sweat or even panting, Uncle Mu stopped talking, completely stunned into silence by the young man's brute strength.

Aunt Mu, seeing this, insisted on arranging to find Su Ming a sturdy wife who could bear children.

This caused Su Ming to flee in panic.

On the way home, recalling the bits and pieces of life at Uncle Mu's house a few days ago, he couldn't help but sigh silently.

He knew very well that he and the barbarians at the foot of the mountain were simply not the same kind of people.

Before, it was just a clash of worldviews and differences in lifestyle.

But now, he had stepped into the extraordinary!

That would be a fundamental difference in power, physical fitness, and intelligence; in the future, it would likely be a world of difference in the length and breadth of their lives!

Forget it.

He was just a passerby after all.

Precisely because he realized this, Su Ming chose to live in isolation, alone in the mountains.

With the mountains as a barrier, Su Ming's intersection with the barbarian tribe below would eventually grow thinner and thinner, until... Su Ming's existence was completely forgotten!

And this.

Was exactly what Su Ming wanted to see happen!

In any case, he had the Gathering skill, and his external dependence for materials was infinitely close to zero; if not for the principle of repaying kindness, Su Ming would have long since fled alone to live as a hermit in the forest.

Ultimately, it boiled down to one sentence: he couldn't integrate into this current world at all!

Back at home.

After some preparation, Su Ming activated the monthly free dungeon teleportation.

With a flash of white light, Su Ming vanished from the spot.

A few seconds later, the Angel Zhixin, clad in Dark Silver Alloy Battle Armor and with pure white wings on her back, quietly descended, flapping those white wings.

"So ugly!"

Looking up close, this house built from stacked stone cubes was indeed very ugly.

It had quite the visual sense of a coffin room.

But...

"So precise, and so neat!"

Micron-level tolerances were something even average industrial-strength pre-nuclear civilizations couldn't handle.

But what about Su Ming?

He had achieved it all by himself!

As the Eye of Insight delved deeper, Zhixin's expression suddenly froze: "Strange, it was micron-level error before, how did it upgrade to nanometer-level precision last night?"

Chapter 10: Creator's Backpack! Skill Upgrade

Kingdom of Stormwind, Azeroth.

A new day arrived, and Elwynn Forest, under the shine of the sun, awakened the vitality that had briefly slumbered last night.

Birds sang and flowers were fragrant.

Colorful butterflies danced.

The oxygen-rich environment, together with the high-energy particles merged into the air, added a layer of vigorous life force to this vast world.

So much so that Su Ming occasionally felt.

That the forest before him was itself alive!

However.

With beautiful scenery before him.
