174: Chapter 174 Three-City Joint Operation, Closing the Net

"Comrade Police Officer, what did I do? Why are you... stopping me?"

The Delivery Rider's lips trembled, and his speech was a bit stuttered.

Tian Jun pulled him into a corner and said softly:

"Don't be afraid, it's fine. Come with me."

The Delivery Rider felt uneasy. Could it be that the police found out about him visiting Ah Xiang's business last night?

Being locked up for a couple of days didn't matter, but a 500-yuan fine made his heart bleed.

"Director Huang, the Delivery Rider has been brought here," Tian Jun said.

Huang Tao sat in the command vehicle with the door open. Lu Sihai stood beside him, surrounded by police officers.

The Delivery Rider had never seen such a sight. His legs wobbled, and he almost collapsed to his knees.

Tian Jun quickly helped him up. "What are you afraid of? Stand straight. I have a few questions for you."

"Young man, where is the food in your box being delivered to?" Huang Tao asked with a majestic expression.

"Chief, it's for Building 1, Unit 11. They ordered fried rice and barbecue."

The Delivery Rider forced himself to stay upright; he had begun to figure out what was going on.

If they were just trying to catch him, they wouldn't need so many police officers.

Even the Director was here; it must be a major case.

"Are you familiar with Unit 11 in Building 1? Have you delivered there before?"

"No, this is the first time."

Huang Tao looked at Tian Jun and ordered, "Tian Jun, swap clothes with him and deliver the meal in his place."

"Your mission is to go in and find out how many people are inside without alerting the suspects."

Tian Jun snapped to attention and saluted. "Yes, sir! Mission guaranteed!"

Knock, knock, knock!

"Who is it?"

"Delivery."

The person who opened the door was a woman in her forties, looking at Tian Jun with a face full of disgust.

"Is there something wrong with you? I clearly saw you reach the door, so why did you turn away?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Tian Jun felt several sharp gazes staring at him through the crack in the door.

"Ma'am, I'm so sorry. I just started doing deliveries recently and I'm not very familiar with this area."

"I took a wrong turn and had to ask for directions to find this place."

Tian Jun apologized repeatedly, bowing his head.

The woman must have been truly hungry, as her eyes were fixed intently on the delivery box in Tian Jun's hands.

"Well? Now that you're here, hurry up and give me the food, or I'll give you a bad review."

"Sorry, sorry. There's quite a lot of stuff and it's a bit heavy. How about I help you carry it inside?"

"Fine, bring it in."

The woman opened the door fully and let Tian Jun in.

He quickly scanned the living room. There were six computers, with two men and two women sitting at four of them. He didn't see anyone else.

"Ma'am, where should I put these?"

Before the woman could speak, a man's voice called out.

"Bring it over here, hurry up."

Tian Jun walked in, crossed the living room, and turned left toward a door.

Upon opening the door, he realized that two units had been knocked through into one; it was huge.

There were six bedrooms alone, but the doors were tightly locked, making it impossible to see inside.

Three men were sitting on the sofa, already drinking.

A pot-bellied man saw Tian Jun and roared, "Hurry up! A grown man who can't even figure out how to deliver food—you're starving me to death!"

Tian Jun hurried forward, apologizing incessantly while pulling the fried rice and barbecue out of the box.

There were nine portions of fried rice, but Tian Jun had only seen eight people so far, which meant there was definitely someone in the bedrooms.

"Big brother, barbecue tastes best when it's hot. Everyone, hurry and eat."

"I'm sorry for making everyone wait and go hungry."

Tian Jun had a smile plastered on his face as he apologized while unpacking.

"Xiao Guang, come out and eat! We need to start working soon after you finish," the pot-bellied man shouted toward the bedrooms.

Once he finished unpacking, Tian Jun asked with a smile, "Big brother, can I use your restroom? My stomach hurts a bit."

"People like you, always needing to go when there's work to do—you'll go broke doing deliveries."

"No ambition at all, just wasting your life away day by day."

The pot-bellied man cursed, thinking Tian Jun's request to use the bathroom was just an excuse to slack off.

"Go on then. I'll give you five minutes. If you're not out by then, I'll kick the door in."

"I'll teach you what militarized time management looks like."

"Yes! Yes!" Tian Jun nodded and rushed into the bathroom.

He held his phone and kept an eye on the time, believing the pot-bellied man really would kick the door down after five minutes.

Four minutes and thirty seconds.

Tian Jun pressed the flush button.

Hearing the sound, the pot-bellied man outside burst into laughter.

"See? This guy just needs to be straightened out. If he were under me, I'd guarantee he could finish in the bathroom in under three minutes."

The people around him didn't respond, continuing to stuff their faces with food.

Tian Jun came out of the bathroom and looked at the group eating together. There were a few more than before; the people from the bedrooms must have come out to eat.

"Thanks, big brother!"

"Thanks, big brother!"

"Please give me a good review."

Tian Jun left Unit 11 and quickly ran back to the command vehicle. To avoid raising suspicion, he hadn't carried any police communication equipment other than his own phone.

"Director Huang, there are 11 people eating in the living room—8 men and 3 women. No heavy weapons were spotted."

"I didn't enter the bedrooms, but based on the leader's time management, I suspect no one is left inside."

"Also, the place is two units combined into one, so it's quite large."

"I suggest assigning a specific team to rush straight for the six rooms as soon as we enter, ignoring the people in the living room."

Huang Tao gave an instruction to the command vehicle, "Brief everyone on the situation inside. Notify Team Three; they will be responsible for the bedrooms."

After speaking, he raised his hand to check his watch, his expression becoming increasingly solemn.

After a while, it was nine o'clock.

From the command vehicle, Huang Tao saw that all deployments were in place and firmly uttered two words.

"Action."

The door to Unit 11 was rammed open in three strikes, taking less than two seconds.

Tian Jun charged in at the front, ignoring the people who had returned to their computers.

Instead, he went straight for the pot-bellied man.

The voices of his colleagues came from behind him.

"Police!"

"Get down! Get down!"

"Hands off the keyboards! Don't move!"

"I told you not to move! Didn't you hear me?"

The pot-bellied man had been dozing on the sofa after eating and was about to stand up when he heard the commotion.

Tian Jun was already behind him. He grabbed the man's right arm and twisted it hard, making the pot-bellied man let out a pig-like squeal.

Other officers swarmed in, and together with Tian Jun, three of them pinned the pot-bellied man to the floor and handcuffed him.

He glared at Tian Jun with eyes wide with fury, as if he wanted to swallow him alive.

"It's you, that delivery punk! You'd better not give me a chance, or I'll kill you!"

Tian Jun knelt down and patted his face lightly. "Big brother, you're quite the expert on militarized time management. How about we let you go inside and experience our militarized management?"

"If there's anything you don't like, feel free to give us some feedback."

"You little punk, f*ck your ancestors!" the pot-bellied man roared through gritted teeth.

The entire arrest process took less than three minutes, and they encountered no resistance.

All 11 people were successfully apprehended with no casualties.

On the other side.

Similar arrest operations were taking place simultaneously in Foshan district and Shenzhen.
