195: Chapter 195 Watching the Movie "Crazy Stone"

If Zhang Ying and Chen Shaoping hadn't held him back, Wang Bo, the driver, would likely have been thrown out of the car.

The tense atmosphere in the car vanished in an instant, leaving only the laughing group and the "shivering" Wang Bo.

As darkness fell, the streetlights had just flickered on.

The group arrived just at the entrance of Wang Bo's home.

Everyone was carrying gifts, mostly cigarettes, wine, tea, and some supplements.

the only one special thing was the several sets of clothes Li Qian had bought for Wang Bo's parents.

Wang Bo's family was very hospitable; hearing the commotion, his parents, uncle, aunt, and elder cousin were already waiting at the door.

"You should have just come to visit, why bring gifts? Please come in, please come in."

Although Wang Bo's mother was being polite, her hands were busy gesturing for the family to take the gifts.

"Uncle, Auntie, hello!"

"You've gone to a lot of trouble today."

Chen Shaoping and the others greeted them with polite smiles.

Two tables full of food were already prepared.

"Wash your hands, let's eat," Wang Bo's mother said with a smile.

They took their seats one by one; with the two tables pushed together, the large group barely managed to fit.

Then Wang Bo began to introduce them one by one.

When he introduced Li Qian, his mother's and aunt's eyes lit up; they were extremely satisfied with this daughter-in-law (or niece-in-law).

Not only was she beautiful, but she was also poised and generous.

For a moment, they even wanted the two of them to get married immediately.

They kept piling food onto Li Qian's plate.

The meal took nearly an hour to finish.

The aunts cleared the dishes, and even Zhang Ying and Zhao Sisi went to help.

However, they didn't really do much; they just stood there chatting with them.

The men sat around drinking tea and chatting.

After Wang Bo's elder cousin poured a cup of tea for Chen Shaoping, he spoke.

"Teacher Young Master Ping, please have some tea."

"I am Xiao Bo's elder cousin, my name is Wang Lin."

"I have a presumptuous request, and I'm not sure if I should mention it."

Wang Bo, standing nearby, was displeased. "Brother, if you say it's a presumptuous request, then it's best not to say it."

"I hate it most when you use that official tone."

Wang Lin glanced at him and raised a foot to give him a kick. "Shut up, this isn't your place to talk."

Wang Bo gave a sheepish laugh and moved his stool to sit next to Chen Shaoping, away from Wang Lin.

Chen Shaoping found it amusing; it seemed Wang Bo was often bullied at home as well.

"Brother Lin, please go ahead."

He actually knew in his heart that Wang Lin's reason for seeking him out was nothing more than a matter of songs.

"Good." Wang Lin's expression became more serious. "It's like this: I currently hold a position at our Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and I would like to ask for your help in writing a song to promote our Hang City."

"It would be even more perfect if Xiao Bo could sing it."

"Don't worry, we won't ask you to write it for free; our Culture and Tourism Bureau has a budget for this."

Hearing this, Chen Shaoping had a bold idea, but he didn't plan to agree immediately; after all, they were going to spend a few days playing in Hang City.

"Brother Lin, since we're going to be sightseeing in Hang City anyway, can I give you an answer when we leave?"

"Alright, no problem." Wang Lin felt there was hope; as long as there wasn't an immediate refusal, it was fine.

"Brother, we're planning to visit West Lake tomorrow. If you're free, come along," Wang Bo suggested.

"Sure, I don't have to be on duty tomorrow."

While they were chatting, Zhang Ying and Li Qian also came over.

It seemed the kitchen had been cleaned up.

Wang Bo's mother was about to go cut some fruit, but Chen Shaoping quickly stood up with a smile to decline. "Uncle, Auntie, thank you."

"We have to leave tonight. The movie tickets we bought are about to start. I'll definitely chat with you more next time."

Wang Bo's parents wanted them to stay and rest at home.

Chen Shaoping felt there were quite a lot of people and felt a bit embarrassed, so he declined.

Wang Bo's mother then urged Wang Bo to book a hotel for Chen Shaoping and the other three before letting them out.

The six of them left Wang Bo's house, talking and laughing, and soon arrived at tonight's destination—the cinema.

Wang Bo originally wanted to book the whole theater, but Chen Shaoping refused.

Watching a movie is only interesting when there are many people.

They all dressed up a bit so that it wouldn't be easy for outsiders to recognize them.

However, because it was a holiday, even if it wasn't peak viewing time, the cinema was still bustling with people.

They didn't see a single person who had come to watch a movie alone.

They were either couples, families, or like Chen Shaoping's group, friends who had arranged to watch together.

The show started at 22:30. When the six of them walked into the theater, they were considered late arrivals.

Chen Shaoping took a look; it wasn't a full house, but the attendance was good, with only a few scattered empty seats.

They had bought their tickets late and didn't get the best viewing positions; moreover, the six of them were separated.

Fortunately, the couples were seated together.

The movie began to play.

The chubby and slightly comical Xie Xiaomeng was hitting on a beautiful woman in the Yangtze River Cableway car, saying this line:

"Whenever I look at this city from this angle, I strongly feel that the city is the mother, and we are living inside her womb..."

When he was called a "hooligan," laughter erupted in the cinema.

Zhang Ying leaned into Chen Shaoping's ear. "How did you come up with lines like that?"

Chen Shaoping didn't answer; instead, he stole a quick kiss.

Then came the scene where the soda can in Xie Xiaomeng's hand fell, hitting the front windshield of a van, directly triggering a subsequent chain reaction.

When that classic line "Don't Touch Me (BMW)" came out, people were already doubled over with laughter.

Zhang Ying couldn't even maintain her ladylike image and laughed out loud.

Some fans even repeated the line.

The international thief Mike originally looked very high-class, but as soon as he got off the plane, his luggage was snatched away.

The line "I'll poke your lungs!" expressed both the helplessness of a professional being defeated by a low-end thief and provided a laugh for the audience.

Chen Shaoping believed this phrase would soon become a catchphrase for people.

Xie Xiaomeng, as a connecting character in the movie, contributed many laughs.

His line in the toilet, "Fighting with daddy is endless fun," accurately portrayed an image of someone who causes trouble for his father and is self-righteous.

When Heipi and Mike were trapped and finally escaped with great difficulty, they looked at each other from a short distance.

It was both pitiful and hilarious.

The entire film revolved around a piece of jade.

The real jade was hung around the girlfriend's (Dao-ge's girlfriend) neck as a "gift," while the fake jade was being fought over by everyone in the display case.

Everyone was going crazy over a piece of fake stone.

In the end, Bao Shihong used the real jade to swap back the "fake" jade from his girlfriend; the real stone returned to the "guardian's" hands in the most mundane way, which was highly ironic and felt like fate.

...

The movie ended.

The cheerful atmosphere in the theater had not dissipated; some people were already discussing the plot.

A young child laughed very happily, looked up, and said to his parents:

"Daddy, Mommy, I want to watch it again."

"Sure, tomorrow let your aunt bring you; she hasn't seen it yet either."

"Okay, okay, Mommy is the best!"

Just then, a song with very distinct local characteristics began to play.

Some audience members who had already walked to the exit of the screening room stopped in their tracks and listened intently.

Chen Shaoping and Zhang Ying knew of this song's existence, so naturally, they stayed to hear it through.

They stood up from their seats to make it easier for other moviegoers to pass by them.
