212: Chapter 212 Are you two bosses or my boss?

When they arrived at the shooting location, it was precisely 8:30.

From far away, Lu Li saw Jiang Cheng idling around there.

As soon as Jiang Cheng saw the two of them, her eyes instantly lit up.

"Good grief, you two, are you the kings of cutting it close? Am I the boss, or are you two the bosses?"

"Ask him."

Shen Qingxue immediately pointed at Lu Li.

Seeing Jiang Cheng's gaze shift over, Lu Li immediately started talking nonsense with a straight face.

"Ahem, as for this, it might, probably, should be started from Pangu creating the world and Nüwa patching the sky..."

After listening to Lu Li's long-winded speech, Jiang Cheng endured it for two seconds before ruthlessly mocking him.

"I'm dying of laughter, can you ramble even further off topic?"

Lu Li's mouth twitched, but he really had nothing to say.

Seeing this, Jiang Cheng quickly waved her hand.

"All right, all right, stop rambling so much. You two hurry up and change into your clothes while I test the lighting first."

Lu Li couldn't have asked for anything better and hurriedly ran to the fitting room to change.

When he walked out after changing into that moon-white long gown, Jiang Cheng was adjusting the camera position and looked up at him.

"Oh, it really looks the part. It has a bit of that vibe."

Hearing this, Lu Li silently gave her a thumbs-up.

"Nice taste."

On the other side, Shen Qingxue also changed into that cyan-gray Hanfu long skirt.

The hem of the skirt swayed gently with her footsteps, and her hair was casually pinned into a loose bun, with a few stray strands hanging beside her ears.

Jiang Cheng looked at the two people in the lens without speaking, but her movements in adjusting the camera position visibly slowed down a few beats.

"Don't move, everyone. Let me take a few test shots first."

She raised her camera and half-knelt on the ground, the image in the viewfinder making her hold her breath unconsciously.

Just at that moment, Jiang Cheng pressed the shutter.

"All right, no problem. Let's get started."

For the rest of the better part of the day, the three of them basically didn't get much rest.

Lu Li and Shen Qingxue were fine, but Jiang Cheng was truly exhausted.

Because all the filming was handled by her alone.

Originally, her boyfriend Xu Ran would have come over to help, but unfortunately, he was delayed by something today.

Shot by shot went by, stopping from time to time to make adjustments.

During this time, Lu Li couldn't help laughing out loud several times, although he didn't even know what he was laughing at; he just felt like laughing.

Even Shen Qingxue ended up laughing along with him.

Still, this could be considered adding a bit of vitality to the dry filming.

After all, for their first time filming, this could already be considered a very smooth shoot.

"Good, this take is approved. Switch to the next scene."

Jiang Cheng raised her head from behind the viewfinder, shouted to them, and then bent down to pack up the tripod.

Shen Qingxue stood by the pond, gently pressing the back of her hand against her burning cheeks, and then turned her head to look at Lu Li.

"Are you tired?"

"Not bad."

Lu Li originally felt a bit tired, but he still put on a brave front and said he wasn't tired.

Shen Qingxue didn't expose him either; she just put away her phone, took a step closer to him, and spoke as if nothing was the matter.

"That's good. I thought you were about to complain of being tired."

Lu Li opened his mouth, just wanting to retort, when Jiang Cheng's voice came over from not far away.

"Hey, you two, don't move! Absolutely don't move! This angle is especially good, hold it right there!"

The movements of the two people paused simultaneously.

Lu Li instinctively glanced at Shen Qingxue, and Shen Qingxue also happened to turn her head to look at him.

The two of them locked eyes for a split second across a half-step distance.

Jiang Cheng pressed the shutter, then lowered her head to glance at the camera, curving the corners of her mouth in satisfaction.

"Very good, this take is amazing."

The afternoon filming went even smoother than the morning.

Because of the morning's experience, Lu Li gradually grasped the rhythm of his positioning and expressions.

Even though he still occasionally laughed out loud.

By early evening, basically all the footage materials had been filmed.

Jiang Cheng squatted behind the monitor, exported all today's filmed materials from the camera, and quickly browsed through them once.

Lu Li stood behind her, leaned over to take a look at the screen, and Shen Qingxue's silhouette in the backlight appeared exceptionally clear within the frame.

"How is it? Can it be used?"

"More than just usable."

Jiang Cheng raised her head, revealing a rare satisfied expression.

"Most of the shots can be used. We'll just need to shoot a few close-ups later and it'll be OK."

Then she turned her head, glanced at Shen Qingxue in the distance drinking water to quench her thirst, turned back, and lowered her voice.

"She is really pretty, even prettier in front of the lens."

"I know."

Lu Li answered casually, not realizing how obvious the taken-for-granted tone in his voice was.

Jiang Cheng glanced at him, didn't reply, and lowered her head to continue organizing the materials, though her mind was entirely filled with shipping them.

Not long after, Shen Qingxue walked over, bent down to look at the footage on the screen, and her expression carried a hint of seriousness.

"From what you mean, we still need to do reshoots tomorrow?"

"We need to shoot a few close-ups, not many; it can probably be done in an hour or two."

Jiang Cheng raised her head and added another sentence.

"Are you two free tomorrow morning? If you are free, come over earlier and finish shooting while the lighting is good."

Shen Qingxue glanced at Lu Li and didn't make the decision for him.

Lu Li thought about it and then nodded.

"All right, just like today, we'll arrive early. But rest assured, we definitely won't be late."

"Good, then it's settled."

Jiang Cheng packed up her equipment, stood up, and stretched her somewhat stiff shoulders.

"Then let's call it a day here. You guys go back and rest. I'll go back and organize the materials, and after tomorrow's reshoots are done, I can start editing."

"Thank you for your hard work."

Shen Qingxue expressed her thanks.

Jiang Cheng waved her hand, hoisted the tripod onto her shoulder, and walked towards the parking spot.

Lu Li and Shen Qingxue also prepared to head back home.

After returning home.

Lu Li collapsed onto the sofa and couldn't help muttering,

"I'm exhausted... It feels even more tiring than recording songs for a whole day. I swear, even if I have the opportunity in the future, I will never take the path of an actor!"

"Let this post be proof: if I ever become an actor for real, then I'm a dog!!!"

Shen Qingxue walked over to the kitchen to pour a glass of water, walked over, and handed it to him,

"Save it, drink some water."

Lu Li took the cup and took a sip.

Then he leaned against the sofa backrest, stared blankly at the ceiling for a few seconds, and suddenly turned his head to look at Shen Qingxue.

"Right, after tomorrow's reshoots are done, what else needs to be handled?"

Shen Qingxue thought for a moment.

"The filming is wrapping up, so there's basically nothing else. Of course, if you want to shoot the music video for blue and white porcelain together, it's not out of the question."

"But in that case, we'd first have to record this song."

Lu Li nodded and didn't say anything more.

Anyway, there's still time, so let's ignore this for now and make sure to properly settle his own matters first.

As for other matters...

If they aren't especially important and urgent... step aside completely.

Early the next morning, the two of them arrived at the shooting location on time.

Seeing them walk in, Jiang Cheng waved her hand.

"Come, come, come. Take advantage of the good lighting and hurry up to finish the close-ups."

The reshoots went even smoother than expected, getting completely wrapped up in less than two hours.

Jiang Cheng imported the final piece of video and photos into the computer, watched them back and forth a few times, and was very satisfied.

"All right, the materials are complete. Wait for me to finish editing and send you the first version."

"Okay."

After a simple expression of gratitude, the two of them left first.
