155: Encountering a Saint

The Dead Sea lacks Spiritual Qi, meaning the energy these Giant Turtles use for advancement must be some unknown power that Ji Mo is unaware of.

Ignoring that, he only needed to know that these Giant Turtles currently existed individually; otherwise, if five or more appeared together, Ji Mo would have to flee, absolutely unwilling to take the risk.

Following this, Ji Mo continued his exploration, consecutively killing five Giant Turtles. His strength was now approaching thirty-eight thousand Dragons, and the gains were quite pleasing.

Ji Mo thought the subsequent actions would proceed as smoothly as the current ones, but what happened next left him dumbfounded.

Before him was an endless expanse of massive Stone Turtles, densely packed. The smallest were only the size of millstones, and the largest was clearly a ten-thousand-meter-tall mountain-sized Giant Stone Turtle.

This ten-thousand-meter-tall Stone Turtle was one hundred percent a Saint Rank, and surrounding these smaller ones were dozens of Giant Turtles comparable in size to those Ji Mo had killed.

He dared not provoke it, absolutely dared not, and could only hastily flee. Unfortunately, it was too late; the Saint Rank Giant Stone Turtle suddenly opened its eyes.

A terrifying Divine Sense locked onto Ji Mo, and it sensed the resentful aura of its slaughtered kin, releasing boundless killing intent.

Locking onto Ji Mo dozens of miles away, Ji Mo dared not be careless and immediately fled. Unfortunately, he was still too slow; a ten-thousand-meter illusory mountain shadow had already appeared above Ji Mo's head.

The surrounding seawater also seemed to experience a sharp increase in pressure from the impact of this terrifying giant mountain, and boundless underwater waves pressed down toward Ji Mo.

At the same time, this terrifying illusory mountain shadow sealed off Ji Mo's escape route.

“There's no choice! I can only withstand it head-on!”

Ji Mo clearly understood the current situation: if he couldn't weaken this strike, it would at least severely wound him, and a severe wound meant facing death.

“Instant Burst!”

Ji Mo frantically punched the giant mountain above his head. Instantly, hundreds, even thousands, of fist energies carrying thirty-eight thousand Dragons slammed into the giant mountain.

Under these thousands of strikes, the giant mountain was not shattered, but the range of the illusory shadow was weakened by at least half.

At this point, the giant mountain had suppressed down to just a few meters above Ji Mo's head. There was no other option; he could only launch a punch containing Hidden Force.

“Boom!”

After a tremendous crash, Ji Mo was directly smashed deep into the seabed by the giant mountain; the terrifying force buried him.

The Saint Rank Stone Turtle looked at the flattened seabed surface and, sensing none of Ji Mo's Qi, felt that this little bug had been instantly killed by its strike.

Ji Mo was indeed not dead at this moment, but the strike had injured him—not severely, but not lightly either.

Ji Mo dared not move recklessly, sensing the Giant Turtle's Divine Thought continuously sweeping over the area. Ji Mo summoned the heaven and earth creation bell to fully conceal his tracks.

Only after the Giant Turtle's Divine Sense left the area did Ji Mo suddenly burst out and flee toward the distance.

This movement startled the Saint Rank Giant Turtle again, but it was too late for the Giant Turtle to strike Ji Mo, so it closed its eyes helplessly.

“That Human Race member is injured. Go chase him, drive him out of our territory, and instruct the clan to retreat so they aren't killed by this Human Race member again.”

A voice emerged from the body of the mountain-like Giant Turtle. The surrounding few peak Half-Saint Giant Turtles, having received the command, nodded toward the Saint Rank Giant Turtle.

They moved their four limbs and pursued Ji Mo. The Saint Rank Giant Turtle's duty was to guard the descendants of its clan.

It was also afraid that other enemies might be lurking nearby and dared not move rashly. It could only instruct its subordinates to pursue. Knowing that its clan was not known for speed, the mission assigned was merely to drive him away and notify the clan to retreat.

Ji Mo had already fled far away, escaping straight for several thousand miles without looking back.

“That was terrifying! Is this the terror of a Pure-Blood Race? Especially in their natural territory.”

Ji Mo wiped away a cold sweat, feeling lingering fear.

It wasn't that Ji Mo didn't want to use Sword Technique, but he clearly knew that using Sword Technique here was less effective than using brute strength.

Where was this? This was the Dead Sea!

In a place completely devoid of spiritual energy, using Sword Intent wouldn't even allow him to display five tenths of his strength—it would be a joke!

Fortunately, Ji Mo's Physical Body and strength were not weak, or that strike would have been the end of the story.

But Ji Mo didn't want to leave just yet; finding such an excellent Body Refining location was incredibly difficult.

“I must be extra careful with my next move!” Ji Mo muttered to himself.

Suddenly, Ji Mo sensed five powerful fluctuations coming from behind him.

“It's Giant Turtles! They actually chased after me.”

Ji Mo's first reaction was to flee, but after checking himself, he didn't detect the aura of a Saint Rank.

He lowered his guard and couldn't help but smile. This was practically home delivery!

He had just been reluctant to leave and was planning his next steps, and now they were actively delivering themselves to his mouth. If he didn't devour them, wouldn't he be letting himself down?

He still needed to plan carefully. With five Giant Turtles together, Ji Mo was afraid of capsizing. The superposition of their special Domain Fields, combined with them using that Martial Skill to attack him simultaneously, could easily lead to disaster.

Moreover, who knew if that Saint Rank might suddenly rush over? Wouldn't that be instant death?

“I'll run first! Get far away from here and use fishing enforcement.”

Acting immediately, Ji Mo released his aura, keeping the Giant Turtles pursuing him from a distance until he had run nearly ten thousand miles away.

Ji Mo stopped, hid himself in the seabed mud, and fully concealed his aura.

After the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, several massive Stone Turtles appeared in this sea area.

“The aura of that hateful Human Race member disappeared right here. What should we do?” At this moment, one of the Giant Turtles spoke, posing the question to its companions.

“He probably ran away. What do we do now?”

“There's nothing we can do. Our clan isn't good at scouting. Let's notify the clan first!”

“Alright, then let each of us choose a direction and complete the mission as quickly as possible.”

They finally reached an agreement, and their massive forms swam off in their respective directions.

This was the opportunity Ji Mo wanted, and naturally, he wouldn't let it go. He drilled out of the mud and chased after one of the Giant Turtles.

A hundred miles away, Ji Mo spotted the Giant Turtle's figure. He chased until he was beneath the target, then decisively struck.

“Hegemon Fist — Hidden Force.”

A terrifying blow slammed into the Giant Turtle's underbelly before it could even react.

Furthermore, Ji Mo did not stop after one strike. Instead, he clung to the Giant Turtle's underbelly and launched a fierce barrage, only detonating all the Hidden Force after landing a full one thousand punches.

“Roar!”

A mournful shriek came from the Giant Turtle's mouth, followed by blood seeping from its massive head. Its internal organs had all been pulverized by Ji Mo, and it died.

“At this distance, those Big Turtles should have sensed that their companion was in danger, and they should be on their way here now.”
