334: Chapter 334 Good news: a million-strong army; bad news: all takeout.

Polar night enveloped the Extreme North Ice Plains. A biting gale, mixed with fist-sized ice pellets, pelted the black-and-gold figure in mid-air.

Lu Sheng tread upon the void. His protective aura kept the wind and snow at bay. Beneath his feet stretched an endless expanse of ten-thousand-year-old profound ice; the wilderness was deathly silent, not a single living creature in sight.

The glacier ahead collapsed over a vast area without warning. Deafening shattering sounds continued unbroken as the ice surface split open into a bottomless chasm.

A million Abyss synthetic beasts crawled out from the fissures in the ice layer. Winged and legged, their forms varied wildly. There were deep-sea leviathans with a hundred pairs of bone wings, and rotting flesh worms with countless segments and limbs. Their bodies all flowed with highly corrosive ink-green venom, the poisonous fumes rising to stain the polar sky a sickly purplish-red.

They filled the sky and the earth, densely packed. A three-dimensional encirclement net took shape.

Three figures exuding fluctuations of Laws stood atop the highest glacier Peak.

The Abyssal Council, the Three Elders.

The Grand Elder resembled a desiccated skeleton, draped in a ghastly white robe and holding a bone staff inlaid with a high-tier sea beast crystal core. The Second Elder was a constantly writhing mountain of flesh, covered in compound eyes and tentacles; mucus dripped onto the ice, corroding deep pits. The Third Elder was completely shrouded in a black robe, revealing only a pair of dead gray eyes, with faint flashes of lightning surrounding him.

The bone staff struck heavily upon the ice.

Dark red array patterns rapidly spread outward from the glacier as the center. The million synthetic beasts roared in unison, their lifeblood forcibly extracted by the array, intertwining in mid-air to form a sky-obscuring, earth-covering crimson net.

The giant net closed, completely sealing off the surrounding space. Even light was devoured by this blood-colored array curtain, plunging the Extreme North into pure darkness.

"Sever Heaven from Earth," the Grand Elder's voice was hoarse, tinged with lofty certainty. "Human, you have overstepped. This array uses a million living beings as its foundation, severing the source of heaven and earth's spiritual power. Even a Peak Spirit King entering this array will turn into a puddle of blood within moments."

The compound eyes all over the Second Elder's body rotated in unison, emitting a piercing shriek of laughter: "Your flesh and blood will become the finest nourishment for the Frost Throne."

Lu Sheng hovered in place, allowing the blood-colored array patterns to spread beneath his feet.

"A million pigs lined up for me to slaughter. I should thank you for preparing the meal."

He tugged the corner of his mouth, revealing stark white teeth. His Cross-shaped Pupils gazed down from above, his vision filled with livestock awaiting slaughter.

"A killing array?" Lu Sheng flipped his palm.

The half-meter-thick immortal qin military codex fell into his palm. The ancient scroll, neither metal nor jade, opened of its own accord without wind, its pages rustling.

The System interface scrolled rapidly before his retinas. A torrential stream of data poured down. After stripping away the rebel army's control, the System's computing power was now entirely at Lu Sheng's disposal. This military codex was no longer a dead object, but a massive database connected to a supercomputer.

[Extracting immortal qin military codex Thirteenth Legion Formation Database... Matching optimal countermeasure solution.]

[Army-Breaking Ominous Array, activate.]

Lu Sheng single-handedly lifted the codex. Black-and-gold emperor patterns lit up from between his brows, crawling down his neck and covering his entire body. The formidable Spirit King's lifeblood poured into the ancient scroll.

"Antiques aren't meant to be used like this," Lu Sheng said, his five fingers suddenly exerting force.

Thousands upon thousands of golden Immortal Qin seal characters surged out from the codex. The seal characters swelled violently in the wind, transforming to the size of millstones, carrying the Law of Desolation as they smashed the approaching blood-colored array patterns to pieces.

With Lu Sheng as the center, black-and-gold array patterns spread across the void like a death god's spiderweb. Golden and bloody light violently clashed, emitting the sharp, piercing screech of metal striking stone.

The black-and-gold spiderweb advanced irresistibly, directly severing the connection between the synthetic beasts and the blood net, instead enveloping the million-strong Abyss army.

The soul-fire in the Grand Elder's eye sockets flickered violently, his bone staff nearly slipping from his grasp: "What have you done? Control of the array is slipping away!"

"I'm teaching you what industrialized harvesting means."

Lu Sheng's spinal dragon roared in unison. Black-and-gold lifeblood erupted from the crown of his head.

A three-thousand-meter-tall Desolate Heaven Emperor Venerable Dharma Idol rose from the ground. Six arms comparable to mountain ranges stretched out. The surface of the dharma idol flowed with the Laws of the Extreme Abyss's water System and the Law of Desolation, its oppressive might overwhelming the world.

The black-and-gold array patterns resonated with the dharma idol. In the palms of the dharma idol's six giant hands, black hole vortices that devoured everything took form.

Within his Dantian, the ancient desolate heaven swallowing furnace reversed and spun at extreme speed.

"Time to eat," Lu Sheng uttered two words.

The dharma idol's six arms pressed down simultaneously.

A terrifying suction force enveloped the entire Extreme North Ice Plains. The Sever Heaven from Earth array was forcibly reversed; the killing array originally intended to refine Lu Sheng became a giant furnace extracting the lifeblood of the million-strong army.

Tens of thousands of synthetic beasts closest to the dharma idol didn't even have time to scream before their bodies directly withered. Their pure lifeblood was forcibly stripped by the array, transforming into a vast red torrent that converged like a hundred rivers into the sea, pouring into the vortices in the dharma idol's palms.

The red torrent flowed along the dharma idol's arms, flooding into the Devouring Heaven Furnace in Lu Sheng's abdomen.

[Devouring Abyss synthetic beast lifeblood. spirit source reserves +100,000.]

[spirit source reserves +200,000.]

The data jumped rapidly. Lu Sheng had just advanced to the early Spirit King stage and needed a massive amount of energy to fill his ten-million-unit spirit source capacity limit. This million-strong army had arrived just in time.

Glaciers collapsed over large areas. In the pitch-black polar night, a sky-full of bloody rain drifted down, only to be completely absorbed by the black holes.

The once-overbearing Abyss army was reduced to lambs for slaughter. The array locked them in place, with no escape. Leviathans plummeted, flesh worms withered. Skeletons drained of life piled up like mountains, dyeing the pristine ice plains into a pale land of bones.

The Second Elder's massive mountain of flesh began to shrivel, his compound eyes bursting one after another, his mucus drying up. He let out a mournful howl: "Grand Elder! The array's core is backfiring! Retreat quickly!"

The Grand Elder raised his bone staff high, his withered fingers crushing the crystal at its head, attempting to sever the array connection and preserve himself.

Too late.

Lu Sheng stood atop the dharma idol's head, his right hand making a grasping motion.

The dragon devouring spear materialized. The spear's body was wreathed in purple-and-gold light, with Green Lotus Sword Intent and the Law of Desolation intertwined; its tip emitted an edge that seemed to tear space.

"Since you're already here, why the hurry?" Lu Sheng unified his waist and hips, the muscles in his right arm bulging, black-and-gold dragon scales standing erect.

The long spear left his hand, thrown.

Airwaves parted the sky. Thunderous sound pierced the ears.

A purple-and-gold rainbow tore through the void, ignoring spatial distance, directly appearing atop the glacier Peak.

The bone staff snapped. The dozens of layers of bone shield and rule-based defenses the Grand Elder hastily erected were as fragile as thin paper before the dragon devouring spear, shattering inch by inch.

The spear tip pierced through the Grand Elder's chest, its remaining force undiminished, skewering the Second Elder's mountain of flesh behind him like a string of gourds.

A deafening roar shook the heavens. The two Elders were nailed firmly to the towering ice cliff behind them.

The Law of Desolation erupted. In the blink of an eye, the two powerful bodies, along with their remnant souls, turned into ashes scattered by the wind.

Only a bottomless black hole remained on the ice cliff, along with the low hum of the dragon devouring spear.

Most of the million-strong army had already been drained, the ice plains covered in withered husks.

Witnessing this scene, the Third Elder's body beneath his black robe trembled violently. He did not go to save his companions, nor did he utter any threats.

His hands formed seals at extreme speed. His fingertips transformed into afterimages.

Lu Sheng's eyes flickered slightly. His Cross-shaped Pupils captured that familiar starting posture.

Blinding purple lightning burst forth from within the Third Elder's body. The lightning was pure and vast, not mixed with a trace of the Abyss's Yin coldness.

His form transformed into a streak of purple lightning, tearing through the remaining array barriers, desperately fleeing towards the Abyss Gate deep within the ice plains.

Lu Sheng raised his hand to recall the dragon devouring spear. The dharma idol retracted, the black-and-gold array patterns faded.

The ground was littered with dried corpses; the Extreme North Ice Plains had become a veritable land of death.

[Current spirit source reserves: 8,500,000 / 10,000,000.]

Lu Sheng did not give chase. He hefted the long spear in his hand, looking towards the purple lightning dissipating at the horizon.

Immortal Qin Thunder Escape. The most orthodox military escape technique, clearly recorded in the Military Codex.

The highest echelons of the Abyssal Council were actually using the signature skills of the Immortal Qin rebel army.

These self-proclaimed deities, these Abyss lackeys, hid another master's brand deep in their bones.

Lu Sheng's expression was impassive, a deep gray light flickering in the depths of his eyes.

The waters of this Earthly pasture were getting murkier and murkier.

He took a step forward, crushing a ground full of dry bones, walking in the direction of the Abyss Gate.

Since they're all old acquaintances, then let's go to the old lair and have a proper reunion.
