4: Chapter 4: I'm ashamed I didn't burn down the shrine!

Inside the interrogation room, Lin Heng's words landed.

They resonated powerfully.

Echoing in the ears of the officers, the silence was deafening.

After a brief pause, the officer continued speaking,

"Then how do you explain your large-scale trafficking of munitions in Africa?"

"Don't tell us you didn't do it on purpose!"

"Do you know that smuggling munitions is a serious crime in our country!"

The police officer's voice suddenly turned stern.

"You are the first Long Country person I have ever met who managed to reach the top of the international munitions list..."

These words.

Even the Special Police Officer sounded somewhat shocked when saying them.

Long Country had always prohibited the import and export of munitions,

and maintained the world's strictest customs!

To smuggle munitions, one would have to find connections abroad...

But clearly, trying to snatch meat from the hands of those bandits was not that easy!

The interrogating Special Police Officer's gaze toward Lin Heng became complex.

Upon seeing the next investigation report, the corner of his mouth actually curved into a slight smile.

"We investigated your movements. Even if everything before this can be explained, why did you commit murder in Neon?"

"Why is your name still on the assassin list?"

The Special Police Officer's question landed forcefully.

As for the Special Police Officer's inquiries, Lin Heng seemed rather helpless.

He didn't speak immediately.

Instead, he asked an irrelevant question.

"Can I have a cigarette?"

Because he was arrested by these police officers, his books were all confiscated as evidence.

If he couldn't get them back, the loss would be immense!

The crucial part was, even if he had to pay a fine, that was acceptable!

He would lose his credibility!

"This is a non-smoking area, no smoking allowed!" The female officer's voice was stern!

"Let him have one!" The Chief outside the door transmitted instructions through his earpiece.

Regarding the investigation into Lin Heng, they were actually ambivalent.

The information they obtained could, at most, result in a charge of potentially disturbing social order for Lin Heng.

And since the investigation was overseas, the authenticity of the information might not be fully verifiable.

If Lin Heng was willing to talk, that would naturally be better.

As long as Lin Heng was willing to cooperate, they wouldn't mind treating him to a meal.

Hissβ€”

Whoosh!

After lighting and taking a few puffs of a cigarette, Lin Heng narrowed his eyes slightly.

The tense Special Police Officers all focused their attention on this young student.

They never imagined.

They had seen students involved in fraud cases...

and money laundering...

But they had never heard of one who taught African Warlords how to conduct revolutions!

This guy's incredible nature left them in awe.

Finally,

amidst everyone's confusion, Lin Heng slowly opened his mouth.

"All the things you mentioned, as a University Student, are hard for me to admit!"

"I saw the books you confiscated..." Lin Heng shrugged.

"I'm the one providing provisions and foreign exchange, it's not excessive for Warlords to focus on wheat, right?"

"Isn't this about helping with the Belt and Road Initiative? I've made a huge contribution!"

Lin Heng spoke with great animation, but the Special Police Officers did not quite agree.

They remained silent,

only feeling that Lin Heng was quibbling and unwilling to cooperate!

"Moreover, speaking frankly, teaching them to grow wheat is absolutely charitable!"

"I made them level and burn down 500 acres of poppy cultivation fields to plant grain!"

Lin Heng spoke, his words landing forcefully.

For a moment, the several highly experienced Special Police Officers were left speechless.

They had investigated a little into the matter, and it seemed to be true, just as Lin Heng said.

It wasn't over yet.

Without waiting for anyone to speak, Lin Heng spat out another mouthful of saliva.

His expression looked even more agitated.

"Speaking of munitions!"

That single phrase hit the nail on the head, and the police officers' gazes immediately locked onto him.

Much of what came before was not that important; at most, it was a trade violation.

But this point was very different.

Long Country's control over smuggling munitions was no different from that over narcotics!

This was a true violation of social order!

The atmosphere was extremely heavy, making Lin Heng feel somewhat helpless.

He could only spread his hands slightly and say, "You call this munitions?"

"I only translated the textbooks for them. They used their own knowledge of chemistry and physics to create gunpowder..."

"You can't pin that on me, can you?"

"If I killed someone using broadcast calisthenics, you couldn't possibly go after the creator of the broadcast calisthenics routine, could you?"

Lin Heng's expression was resolute, his eyes shining slightly.

Those few sentences landed powerfully.

"As for that bastard in Neon, he bought my goods and refused to pay. He deserved to die!" Lin Heng curled his lip.

Lin Heng was relaxed and comfortable.

The officers responsible for the interrogation, however, felt quite helpless.

Listening carefully, what Lin Heng was saying... actually made some sense?

After all, their investigation results were not yet comprehensive.

But!

"So, this is the reason you changed your assassin list ID to 'Long Country's Number One Male Gun'?"

At this point, even some of the Special Police Officers could barely hold back their composure.

They had undergone professional training!

But combined with the recent news about that single shot, they truly struggled to keep it together.

This guy, when dealing with the Japanese who were practically riding on their faces, really had something about him.

"Sigh!" Lin Heng scratched his head and sighed.

"Actually..."

"To be honest, I didn't do it particularly well." Lin Heng began to analyze in detail.

"I originally intended to take him out at the Shrine of the Chaste Women and then burn the whole place down..."

Lin Heng described the scene at the time, then lamented,

"In the end, I only managed to burn down the front yard."

"I'm ashamed! Ashamed!"
