102: Chapter 102 You're in luck

The Black Tower, the center of Shahe Town.

This building, feared and respected as the Black Tower by local gangs and paupers alike,

revealed an interior that was a completely different world from the wasteland outside once the heavy iron doors, shattered by smoothbore cannons, were pushed open.

The internal scene was like two entirely different worlds compared to the wasteland outside.

The ground floor lobby was as spacious as an indoor plaza.

The grayish-blue stone slabs beneath their feet were polished so finely that not a single seam could be seen, reflecting light like a mirror.

Massive crystal chandeliers with five or six overlapping tiers hung overhead, their cold white light illuminating the entire hall in vivid detail.

On both sides of the hall, over a dozen twisted sculptures were arranged in an orderly yet staggered fashion.

Some looked like masses of flesh woven from countless arms, while others were agonized human faces looking upward.

Most players couldn't understand this nonsense art, but the gold-leaf plating and the delicate texture of the stone made it obvious even to a blind man that these things were expensive.

Flash carried his two-handed Melta Sword, the power indicator light at the hilt pulsing rhythmically.

He spat directly onto the clean floor.

"Hah, I knew it."

Flash looked around, his tone full of cynical mockery.

"It turns out Shahe Town isn't poor at all; it's just the 'oxen and horses' at the bottom who are poor. These lords in the high towers seem to be dripping with wealth."

Liver Emperor, carrying a heavy alloy riot shield, warily scanned the empty corridors and balconies, adding casually:

"How should I put it? This phenomenon is actually the norm in reality too. Once you graduate university and enter society, you'll understand after seeing bosses who cry about company losses and pay cuts while buying sports cars in full cash."

Flash gave a cold laugh: "If society is like that, what's the point of going out and hustling?"

"Alright, save your grumbling and focus."

The Legion Commander, Ming Shen, interrupted their whispered conversation.

He looked up, the beam of his flashlight hitting the spiral staircase leading to the second floor.

Wisps of pale pinkish-purple mist were rolling and spilling downward along the edge of the ornate mahogany handrail like a viscous liquid.

A strange fragrance permeated the air, so cloyingly sweet it made one's mouth and throat feel dry upon smelling it.

"This mist is leaking from above. Everyone, put on your gas masks and get ready to charge up."

Ming Shen lowered his voice and racked the bolt of the Promethium Flamer in his hand.

Miracle Walker took a deep sniff of the air. Instead of putting on a mask, he wore a knowing, wicked grin.

"Judging by this display and color, it's likely related to those four old guys of Chaos. This sweet, cloying tone should be a corruption in the direction of Slaanesh."

Miracle Walker nudged the teammate next to him with his elbow, "Hey, Slaanesh. You're in luck."

Wanna Sleep with Slaanesh chuckled and rubbed the dust off his gloves, a clear sense of perversion glinting in his eyes:

"To be honest, after playing for so long, I've never tried this kind of cross-species interaction. You guys know me; I've had heavy tastes since I was a kid."

Makabazi twitched his characteristic mutated bull nose and complained in a muffled voice:

"With your taste, you'd probably even go for a lamprey with a ring of teeth. Stop being disgusting."

Hearing this, the tense and oppressive atmosphere instantly dissipated as everyone covered their mouths and snickered quietly.

For this group of The Fourth Calamity, as long as a health bar appeared, even if an Evil God showed up, they'd first evaluate whether it dropped any loot.

To guard against potential traps in the elevator, these dozen or so high-level players chose to take the stairs.

Holding their weapons and maintaining a tactical formation, they cleared their way up the spiral stairs floor by floor.

The second and third floors were extremely luxurious dining halls.

Pure silver cutlery, half-eaten mutant beast livers, and expensive red wine spilled on the floor were scattered across the long tables.

But starting from the fourth floor all the way to the fifteenth, the style took a sharp turn.

This was no longer a banquet hall, but interrogation rooms comparable to the Ten Great Tortures of the Qing Dynasty.

The walls were covered with barbed whips and iron hooks;

Pools had been dug into the floor, filled with fresh blood that had yet to congeal and emitted a pungent, metallic stench.

Various torture devices used for cutting and stretching the human body were discarded carelessly in corners, still clinging with bits of shredded meat.

The master of this place was clearly not satisfied with conventional physical pleasures; they were more keen on extracting morbid delight from torturing others.

Finally, the group reached the sixteenth floor.

At the end of the corridor was a heavy, copper-clad double door.

Thick pinkish-purple mist was desperately leaking out from the cracks of the door, even condensing into pink water droplets along the doorframe.

From behind the door, a spine-chilling, eerie screeching kept coming out.

The sound was like both a wail of pain and a high-frequency, heart-pounding frenzied moan.

The dozen players quickly spread out on both sides of the door, standing against the walls.

Makabazi took a few steps back, his massive frame sinking slightly as he aimed his shoulder at the door.

"Three, two, one!" Ming Shen gave the tactical hand signal.

Like a maddened bull, Makabazi suddenly charged, slamming hard into the door.

Clang!

With a loud crash, the heavy copper-clad door was forced open, even the hinges snapping and deforming.

"Leave none alive!"

Ming Shen roared, being the first to dash into the room.

Without hesitation, he raised the Promethium Flamer in his hand and squeezed the trigger hard!

Whoosh—!

A pillar of azure high-temperature fire instantly swept into the room.

Behind him, the automatic weapons of Flash, Miracle Walker, and the others opened fire almost simultaneously!

The pink mist in the room was too thick; visibility was less than five meters.

No one could clearly see the situation in the hall; they could only hear the whistle of bullets tearing through the air, the crackle of fire igniting fabric, and the dull thud of sharp blades slicing through flesh.

Just then.

Amidst the dense barrage, several figures flickered out from the thick pink mist like ghosts.

They had slippery, pinkish-purple skin and elegant yet deadly bony horns atop their heads.

Their bodies presented a morbidly twisted half-human, half-monster appearance—one side was a soft, slender human arm, while the other was a thick, barbed giant crab claw!

Seeing the monsters in their faces, the 'muscle-bound' players responsible for melee combat almost instinctively swung their axes and Chainswords, charging forward with a roar.

However.

In the retinas of these players, the image before them underwent a world-shaking distortion the moment they touched the mist.

In Flash's eyes, what was charging at him wasn't some clawed monster at all.

But several stunning women with scant clothing and exaggerated body proportions that completely defied human anatomy.

They were lunging toward him with soul-snatching smiles and open, fair arms.

In Miracle Walker's vision, what approached were several blonde-haired, blue-eyed Caucasian beauties with extremely solid foundations.

Their eyes were glazed, and their red lips were slightly parted.

The situation for the other players was much the same.

Everything each person saw was an illusion of what their subconscious deemed most beautiful and capable of arousing primal desires.

Except for Ming Shen.

As a hardcore tech-geek who had zero interest in carnal desires in reality and whose mind was filled only with mechanical engineering and hard sci-fi.

The image before his eyes had also changed.

However, what appeared in his vision were not beauties.

But strange pieces of equipment emitting a cold metallic luster, with structures so precise they were breathtaking.

"Huh?"

Ming Shen stopped his finger from pulling the trigger and stared blankly ahead.

"A room-temperature superconducting centrifuge? And that one next to it is... a miniaturized ignition module for a controllable nuclear fusion reactor?!"

Ming Shen's breathing became hurried.

He couldn't help but reach out, wanting to touch the crystal-clear casing of the reactor, subconsciously muttering:

"The design of the heat dissipation grilles on this casing is too exquisite... wait, what was I planning to do when I just walked in?"

Almost in the next second.

Ming Shen's super-strong logical thinking instantly detected the sense of incongruity.

"Nonsense! Where would a nuclear fusion reactor come from in a dump like Shahe Town?!"

The illusion before him instantly distorted and vanished like shattered glass.

The cold pipes turned into pale skin, and the precise heat dissipation grilles turned into giant crab claws.

The true form of the Daemonette of Slaanesh was restored, and it was walking toward him with elegant, unhurried steps, waving its gleaming claws.

Ming Shen snapped his head around to look at his surroundings.

His teammates had completely lost their guard; not only had they stopped firing, but their behavior had become abstract to the extreme.

Flash had thrown his Melta Sword on the ground and was hurriedly undoing his belt, his pants already halfway down.

Miracle Walker had his eyes closed and was hugging a slime-covered Daemonette's waist, puckering his lips and kissing it frantically.

The most unbearable sight was Makabazi.

This two-meter-tall strongman was actually facing away from a Daemonette, obediently sticking out his massive rear, letting the Daemonette lash him with a barbed whip, his bull-face even wearing an indescribable expression of enjoyment!

"????"

Three black lines instantly appeared on Ming Shen's forehead; his whole body went numb.

"Fine, fine, fine. Makabazi, you kid usually act so honest, but you have this kind of BDSM hobby in secret, don't you?!"

Amusement aside, mockery aside.

Ming Shen didn't hesitate for a moment, raising the flamer in his hand and slamming down the trigger at the Daemonette directly in front of him!

"Boom!"

How could the Daemonette have expected that in such a high concentration of Slaanesh's mist, there would still be a mortal who could remain completely unaffected by the mental induction.

Caught off guard, this Daemonette was doused squarely by the azure Promethium flames.

The high temperature instantly ignited its skin.

But what was hair-raising was that...

This monster, burned into a fireball, didn't flinch or scream; instead, it opened its arms, threw back its head, and in the excruciating pain of the fire consuming its body, let out a burst of hearty, utterly enjoyable, and perverted moans.

Just then, also awakened by the commotion of the flamer, was the player Wanna Sleep with Slaanesh.

He shook his head hard, and the illusion shattered.

He saw clearly the disgusting, drooling monster in front of him, with one hand being a large crab claw.

He then recalled the bunny girl who had been pole dancing for him in the illusion just now.

"Hmm..."

Wanna Sleep with Slaanesh rubbed his chin and gave a very pertinent player review:

"Feels just so-so. The modeling isn't even as detailed as the AAA masterpieces from the studio next door."

After saying that, this bull-faced player climbed up from the ground and casually rubbed his buttocks, which were a bit sore from falling in the illusion.

His bull-face turned a slightly awkward shade of red.

Without saying a word, he silently picked up the heavy Power Axe from the ground and, without a sound, chopped down toward the head of that Daemonette still enjoying the flames!
