294: Chapter 295 You're crazy too? That's great!

On the other side.

The Chaos warband's flagship, the Skull Anvil.

This was a massive Executioner-class heavy cruiser.

At this moment, the level of madness inside the ship was by no means inferior to the player fleet.

Crimson alarm lights flashed frantically in the narrow metal corridors.

Although the warband's Chaos Lord and its eight strongest Chosen champions were not on the ship, having all dropped down to the surface to hold a slaughter ritual,

this did not mean that the Chaos Space Marines remaining on the ship would feel any fear.

The Butcher's Nails vibrated wildly in their minds.

The enemy fleet's undisguised charging posture completely ignited the bloodlust in their veins.

"Blood for the Blood God!"

"Skulls for the Skull Throne!"

Fanatical roars resounded through every compartment.

Blood slaves whose bodies were covered in mutant pustules, gladiator slaves with crimson eyes, and World Eaters warriors clad in heavy Power Armor.

Like a tide, everyone madly surged toward the boarding torpedo launch bays on the bottom deck of the warship.

Pushing each other.

Trampling each other.

In order to seize a front-row position in the boarding pods, some World Eaters warriors even directly swung their chainaxes, hacking apart the blood slaves blocking their way.

Blood and entrails splattered onto the launch bay blast doors.

No tactics, no formations, only the purest desire for destruction.

Thus, in space,

a shocking scene appeared.

Two massive fleets.

One represented the fanaticism of the players, while the other represented the endless fury of the Warp's Blood God.

Both sides constantly closed the distance in the cold void.

One hundred thousand kilometers, fifty thousand kilometers, thirty thousand kilometers.

Both sides had already entered the optimal range for long-range firepower.

But... the entire starry sky was dead silent.

Not a single warship fired.

Not a single cannon roared.

The Commanders of both fleets, as if they had agreed upon it beforehand, completely abandoned the common sense of void naval warfare.

They simply pushed their warships' Warp engines to the limit of overload.

Accelerate! Accelerate again!

Two steel torrents, like two maddened bulls, charged fiercely and fearlessly at each other's rams!

"Distance has reached the critical point!"

Inside the flagship, the radar let out a sharp buzz.

"Release!!!"

Flame Fist let out a throat-tearing roar in the channel.

The next second.

The ventral armor of the player fleet's warships burst wide open simultaneously.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Countless heavy rocket boarding pods emitting blue exhaust flames shot densely into the dark space like frenzied bees leaving their hive.

On the opposite side.

The boarding torpedo launch tubes of the Chaos fleet simultaneously spewed dazzling flames.

Tens of thousands of Chaos boarding pods painted with a brass hue and tipped with armor-piercing drills came roaring head-on.

On the boarding platform of the Skull Anvil,

a World Eaters kill captain stared ahead through the porthole.

The enemy fleet was getting closer and closer.

Not only did they not fire a single shot, but they instead took the lead in launching dense pods similar to boarding torpedoes.

The kill captain was stunned for a moment.

Afterwards, a massive euphoria completely overwhelmed his already sparse sanity.

"Hahaha!"

He let out a harsh, wild laugh, the laughter buzzing loudly inside his heavy helmet,

"A bunch of fools! It seems they have no idea what kind of terrifying thing they are facing!"

The Butcher's Nails in his cerebral cortex began to throb wildly.

Just thinking about being able to cleave his chainaxe into the enemy's chest in a moment, and imagining the enemy scurrying away with their heads in their hands and begging for mercy on their knees, made him tremble all over with excitement.

A surge of current-like ecstasy rushed straight up his spine to the back of his head.

He couldn't wait any longer.

The kill captain abruptly turned around.

He swung the chainaxe in his hand accordingly.

"Scree—"

Flesh and blood flew everywhere.

Eight mortal blood slaves who were hauling ammunition were directly cut in half at the waist before they even had time to scream.

Entrails spilled all over the ground.

"Get in the pod!"

Treading on the remains of the blood slaves, the kill captain led his subordinate kill squad and strode into the massive boarding torpedo.

Accompanied by a deafening roar, the torpedo dragged a long exhaust flame and detached from the mothership.

In space, the boarding craft of both sides crashed head-on into each other.

In terms of quantity, the World Eaters' side had relatively fewer torpedoes.

But their volume was much larger than the players' rocket pods.

The massive size caused the propulsion speed of the Chaos torpedoes to be far inferior to the players' rocket pods.

Both sides rapidly crossed paths in the void.

A small number of craft collided head-on directly in mid-air, bursting into blinding fireballs.

Because the players' rocket pods were relatively small in volume,

at the moment of impact, the sharp drills plunged directly into the interior of the boarding torpedo.

Not far away, a boarding torpedo collided with a rocket pod, and the rocket pod was deeply embedded in the side armor.

Following that, the metal petals at the front of the rocket pod began to expand outward, forcibly prying open a crevice inside the torpedo just wide enough for a person to pass through.

The kill captain stared at that crevice.

His palms began to itch.

He wanted to start hacking.

But looking around, the cabin was filled entirely with his subordinate Chaos Space Marines, with no extra mortal blood slaves to scratch his itch.

He could only heavily bash his helmet against the bulkhead, forcibly enduring the tearing sensation brought by the Butcher's Nails.

The boarding torpedo quickly approached the port side of the player warship.

Just as the kill captain was about to order the detonation,

"Hum—"

on the outer perimeter of the player warship, a layer of light blue shield suddenly lit up.

The boarding torpedo crashed heavily against the shield, sending sparks flying as it was blocked firmly outside.

"Cowards! All cowards!"

Burning with fury, the kill captain roared frantically into the communication channel, "Scum who dare not engage in melee! Board the drop pods! Smash open their decks from above for me!"

The order was given.

The backup launch port on the side of the boarding torpedo opened.

The kill captain immediately led his team into the small drop pod.

Several bright red trajectories cut through the void, slamming fiercely toward the players' warship like meteors.

The close-in defense system of the player warship activated instantly.

Dense red high-energy laser beams swept toward the drop pods.

However, a bizarre scene occurred.

The moment the laser cannons hit the shell of the drop pod, they were directly absorbed by a layer of unknown dark red fluctuation, leaving not even a single scorch mark.

This was the privilege of the Blood God's followers.

Facing fanatics truly gazed upon by the Blood God, any long-range attacks and psychic tricks would be greatly discounted.

And at the edge of the rift where the barrier between the Warp and reality was thin, long-range artillery was basically equivalent to scrap iron.

"Thud! Thud! Thud!"

Several drop pods smashed directly through the upper armor of the voidship, pinning themselves onto the wide interior deck.

The hatch blew open.

Letting out a beast-like roar, the kill captain rushed out first.

He looked around, and right ahead was a heavy airlock door.

He raised his axe, preparing to kick it open.

"Beep—"

The airlock door actually slid open to both sides on its own.

Revealing a wide passage, as if actively welcoming them.

"As expected of cowards."

The kill captain sneered,

"Trying to wear down our great strength through such complex labyrinth traps? When I catch you, I will definitely skin you and debone you!"

However, his roar had not yet finished.

In the passage behind the door, a group of people appeared.

A group of tall warriors wearing dark gray heavy armor and wielding all sorts of bizarre heavy melee weapons.

They had no formation to speak of.

They were running madly while letting out weird cries.

The kill captain was stunned.

He discovered that the height of these people was actually a full circle larger than even himself, a genetically modified Chaos Space Marine!

Then, euphoria!

The Butcher's Nails were wildly rewarding him, and the god's blessing was inspiring him.

Looking at this group of massively-sized prey, the kill captain practically experienced an intracranial climax right on the spot.

"Kill!"

He let out an earpiercing screech, locked onto the largest warrior holding a giant spiked adamantine club, and charged straight at him.

That player also noticed this kill captain draped in skulls and excitedly strode to meet him.

He raised the bucket-thick club high with both hands.

His front was wide open, full of flaws.

Looking at the opponent's defenseless posture, the kill captain only found it laughable.

"Too weak!"

Although at an absolute height disadvantage, the kill captain still relied on his exquisite killing instinct to complete a perfect side slash before the club smashed down.

The axe blade aimed straight for the player's neck.

"Scree— Clang!"

A harsh metallic scraping sound rang out, the chainaxe roaring frantically and bursting out a large cluster of brilliant sparks.

And then, it got stuck.

The kill captain's pupils constricted sharply.

His pride-and-joy chainaxe only left a dent on the opponent's dull gray heavy armor, failing to even cut through the outermost armor plating!

What on earth were these people wearing?!

Were these welded directly onto their bodies using the warship's main armor plates?!

What chilled him even more to the bone was that the warrior who had taken an axe blow didn't even sway a bit.

Not even a sliver of the scent of fear emanated from his body.

Instead, through his mask, that monster let out an excited strange cry.

"Aoligei!"

The next second.

The adamantine mace carrying a piercing whistling sound smashed straight down from overhead like a collapsing load-bearing wall.

The bucket-thick metal rod, combined with the player's unreasonable and terrifying strength.

"Bang!"

There was no suspense at all.

The kill captain's helmet caved in instantly.

His head was forcibly smashed into his own chest cavity by this absolute freakish strength.

The crisp sound of cervical vertebrae shattering rang out.

But the Butcher's Nails kept him alive.

The kill captain did not die; he loosened his hands from the stuck axe, trying to draw the combat short axe at his waist.

"Get lost!"

The player raised an iron-pillar-thick combat boot and kicked him heavily to the ground with one stomp.

Immediately following that, the giant adamantine mace swung around in a full circle once more.

"Splat."

With a single blow smashed down,

the kill captain, along with his Power Armor, was directly smashed into a pulp-like iron disk.

Blood and entrails squeezed out frantically from the gaps in the armor.

[What Use Is This Iron Rod] pulled out the chainaxe stuck on his shoulder guard and yelled and hollered in the squad channel:

"Awesome! Finally, a monster has appeared that can cut a dent into this heavy armor of mine!"

In the channel, other players immediately chimed in.

[Punching Nanshan Nursing Home]:

"You got your thrill, but that guy's skull was mostly smashed to pieces by you; the skull cap can't be collected now. This is an elite monster!"

[What Use Is This Iron Rod] chuckled:

"Whatever, the feeling of playing Whack-a-Mole is just too stress-relieving!"

Such absurd and bloody scenes were constantly replicated across various corridors of the warship.

The Chaos warriors of the kill squad indeed possessed absolute combat skills.

But skill was utterly worthless in the face of absolute stats, armor thickness, and strength.

When they struck the players, they found that they could at best cause minor injuries, because the vast majority of players had welded or mounted multiple layers of composite armor on the outer layer of their Power Armor.

When they tried to utilize flexible positioning, only to be cornered by four or five heavy-armored tough guys and frantically beaten with great hammers, giant phalluses, and broadaxes,

these World Eaters, renowned for their brutality and knowing no fear, finally experienced what true despair was.

Aside from a few newbies who ran too fast and rushed up without wearing heavy armor being hacked to death,

the player faction suffered almost no major casualties.

In the corridor, there was left only a floor full of smashed and trampled remains of Chaos Space Marines.
