Chapter 21: All Side Tasks Completed, Rewarded with a Colorful Blessing!

Two months passed, and nothing happened in the Bison Territory.

In the morning, Dick taught Alice End Magic; in the afternoon, he taught Mina the Holy Knight's combat methods; and in the evening, he rested.

Occasionally, when he was in a good mood, Dick would make time for late-night tutoring, imparting all his knowledge to the two girls.

But life couldn't continue so peacefully; in just over two weeks, the Royal Capital Magic Academy would start its term.

And a few days later, Dick would depart, taking a carriage to the Royal Capital of the Aimiya Empire for school.

The Royal Capital Magic Academy operates on a nine-year academic system, with one term per year, lasting from spring to early autumn, totaling seven months.

Many students couldn't sit still and would skip classes more or less, running off to enjoy the bustling Royal Capital.

But Alice was not among them; she had always been excellent in both character and academics, with top grades in all subjects, the kind of child other parents talked about.

When school started this year, Alice would be in the fifth grade. Although Dick was a year younger, he would still become Alice's classmate as a special recruit.

The Bison Family sponsored the Academy with a large sum of money every year, so this level of adjustment was quite easy.

However, Dick needed to enter the Academy on his own because he was not a noble and had to pass the relevant special recruitment assessment.

Special recruitment was the only channel for commoners to enter the Royal Capital Magic Academy.

But special recruitment required a noble's recommendation, and one noble could only recommend one person, which required connections.

At the same time, the special recruitment assessment was not simple, and the competition was extremely fierce. One had to perform outstandingly in a certain field to show the Academy their value for cultivation.

Dick was recommended by Alice, while Mina was entrusted to one of the Bison Family's vassal nobles for recommendation.

Originally, Alice thought Dick would use his unparalleled magic talent to conquer the Academy's professors, become a Mage special recruit, and spread his moniker "Ghost Fire Youth" throughout the Royal Capital.

However, Dick did not do this; he surprisingly applied as a Swordsmanship special recruit.

After seeing the application form, Alice angrily went to find Dick, believing he was risking his future.

Unconsciously, Alice began to care about Dick and would get angry about his wrong choices, something that had never happened before.

But soon, Dick convinced Alice with his actions.

In the continuous swordsmanship duels over several days, Alice was instantly killed in the shortest encounter and only lasted less than a minute at the longest.

Dick's swordsmanship was simply outrageous; it was balanced in offense and defense, without any flaws, just like the talented apprentices trained by Swordsman families.

Alice even felt that Dick had the aura of a Swordsmanship master, even though he was a year younger than her!

Stephen, who had been watching from the side, also gave extremely high praise.

As a level 47 veteran Swordsman, Stephen was once also a Swordsmanship special recruit at the Academy, crushing his peers in strength, considered exceptionally talented.

Now, although his strength was somewhat lacking, when it came to swordsmanship alone, Stephen's skill was no less than any professor at the Academy.

Alice had been learning swordsmanship from him since she was young, and Stephen was very aware of Alice's foundation, which was much stronger than her peers.

But Alice was being crushed by Dick, and in various ways. Stephen even suspected that Dick hadn't used his full strength at all.

This old butler was certain that Dick would definitely become a Swordsmanship special recruit and make a name for himself at the Academy!

After dinner today, Alice went to the study as usual to handle administrative affairs.

Since she would soon be leaving the Bison Territory to go to the Royal Capital for school, Alice had to handle all the accumulated administrative affairs.

Knock, knock, knock...

The study door was knocked; it was Mina visiting.

In Alice's impression, Mina was a plain girl who wasn't good with words, didn't dress up, and usually just followed behind Dick, speaking very little.

"Young, Young Master, I want to talk to you alone..."

Hearing this, Alice was somewhat surprised but quickly thought that perhaps Dick had something to tell her, and Mina was just coming to relay the message.

After the maid left, only Alice and Mina remained in the study.

"Go ahead, what does Dick want to do now..."

"It's not Dick," Mina said nervously as she sat on the sofa and looked at Alice, "It's, it's me who wants to find you."

"You're looking for me?"

Alice became interested, as this was the first time Mina had sought her out for something after so many days.

"Tell me, it must be related to that guy Dick, right?"

Mina nodded slightly, looking at Alice with hesitation before finally making up her mind and saying, "You, are you with Dick...?"

Recently, sometimes Mina couldn't sleep at night and wanted to go to Dick's room to discuss life with him, but she would always be blocked by a barrier.

At first, Mina thought Dick was just busy with other things and didn't mind.

But just last night, Mina personally witnessed Alice, wearing a charming nightgown, walk into Dick's room.

Afterward... a barrier was set up in the room, isolating sound and vibration.

Alice stayed for the entire night and only came out the next morning, her complexion rosy and her mood excellent.

Mina wasn't actually surprised; after all, even she, a woman, thought Alice was too beautiful and dressed up well daily, so it was normal for Dick to be attracted.

Alice unnaturally turned her head away, pursing her lips, and said, "It was Dick... he insisted."

"He wanted it, and you gave it?" Mina couldn't help but press on.

"What else could I do? With the soul contract... I can't disobey any of Dick's requests."

Although Alice was now displaying a helpless expression, Mina didn't believe her.

The reason was simple: when Alice entered Dick's room, there wasn't a trace of resistance on her face; she even looked a little expectant!

Thinking of this, Mina became unhappy, lowered her head silently, and stared blankly at the light green tea in the cup.

The atmosphere in the study was a bit subtle, but just as Alice was about to speak, the study door was knocked again.

The person who came was Stephen, holding a beautifully crafted letter with the Adventurers Guild emblem printed on it.

Alice's pupils contracted because she noticed the emblem was red, and only the Adventurers Guild headquarters could use this color!

Holding the thick letter, Alice didn't open it immediately but first asked Stephen to call Dick.

Soon, Dick arrived at the study without any unnecessary talk. He opened the letter under everyone's expectant gazes.

Inside was a D-rank Elite badge, several commemorative gold coins from the Adventurers Guild, and... an invitation to study further at the headquarters!

Not only that, but the letter also contained a pre-set miniature magic circle, and a clear holographic projection appeared in the study.

It was a graceful young woman with extremely high beauty, an elegant demeanor, and a pair of surging waves that attracted attention.

"Dear Dick Grudia, I am Anya Monet, the examiner from the Adventurers Guild headquarters. First of all, congratulations on passing the Elite assessment..."

Ania announced Dick's practical assessment results and gave him a rather high evaluation.

Of course, besides congratulating him, Ania also made a classic attempt to poach him, hoping Dick could go to the Guild headquarters for further study as soon as possible.

Ania also promised that with this letter, all branches of the Adventurers Guild along the way would provide convenience for Dick.

Not only that, but Ania also painted a grand picture, describing Dick's future treatment in the Adventurers Guild...

Before the projection finished playing, Alice directly cut it off, looked at Dick, and said coquettishly, "You, you won't go, right?"

"Hmm, not for now."

"Mmm-hmm, how long is 'for now'? At least until you graduate from the Academy, right..."

Dick ignored Alice's muttering and left directly after putting away the letter.

The moment he returned to his room, the Side Tasks in the upper left corner of Dick's vision finally changed, settling successfully.
