292: The common winemaker is actually a hidden boss

Chapter 291: The Commoner Winemaker is Actually a Hidden Big Shot

Before long, a luxurious carriage slowly arrived in front of the Trandel Winery in the eastern district of Bit City.

The Elf guard driving the carriage gently pulled the reins, and the two sturdy snow horses immediately reared their heads and neighed, sounding like they were singing loudly, causing passersby to turn their heads.

From their strong muscles, beautiful fur, and deep voices, it was clear that these were two pure-blooded snow horses, which only the three major families were qualified to use.

But even if one had poor eyesight and couldn't recognize the nobility of the snow horses, the Bite golden flag fluttering on the carriage already explained everything.

What's more, a hundred-strong Elf guard team followed behind the carriage. Such a grand display was enough to indicate the prominent identity of the person inside the carriage.

In front of the winery, the white-haired Pairo Trundle was respectfully prostrating himself on the ground, as were the hundreds of winery staff behind him.

Everyone was incredibly nervous. They were of the Snowman Clan and were already very humble towards Snow Elves, let alone when the visitor was a big figure from the Bit Family.

Trandel Winery had little history, having been established only a hundred years ago.

And the winery's founder, Pairo Trundle, was neither a noble nor a wealthy merchant; to put it plainly, he was a commoner, and the kind without power or influence.

Therefore, everyone at the winery felt flattered, even somewhat apprehensive, about the arrival of the big figure from the Bit Family.

After all, Leon had only given temporary notice late last night that he would be coming this morning, merely stating that he wanted to meet Master Trundle, with no other instructions.

This made many people unable to help but let their imaginations run wild.

Why would Leon, who was the young master of the Bit Family, come so urgently?

What was his purpose?

Could it be that someone in the Bit Family had a problem from drinking the wine, and Leon had personally come to hold them accountable?

In the Eternal Frost Forest, a place where social stratification was rigid, Snow Elf nobles were the absolute upper class. Any casual action of theirs could easily change the Fate of those in the lower class.

Fortunately, Snow Elves were an elegant and benevolent race. For millions of years, this land of the Eternal Frost Forest had not experienced brutal rule, and the upper and lower classes coexisted peacefully.

Elves were synonymous with low desires, and Snow Elves were even more prominent in this regard, known for their famously laid-back personalities.

But this made Leon's arrival with such a large entourage even stranger. Had the winery really committed some major offense?

The accompanying guard opened the carriage door, and Leon refused assistance, jumping directly out of the carriage and looking around the winery with interest.

"Respected Young Master Bite, commoner Pairo Trundle, along with all the staff of the winery, welcomes your arrival with the utmost sincerity..."

Pairo spoke the welcome address loudly. Despite being 168 years old, he was still full of vigor and looked to be in excellent spirits and health.

Undoubtedly, Pairo would not die of old age for at least the next decade or so; his lifespan was still quite sufficient.

Dick got out of the carriage one step behind and immediately focused his gaze on Pairo, checking his identity information.

"Name": Pairo Trundle (Sloven).

"Race": Human, Male.

"Age": 168 years old.

"Profession": Mage (Winemaker), Level 70.

"Talents": Ancient Longevity God Body (High-Grade), Excessive Mana Recovery (High-Grade), Spell Amplification (High-Grade)...

"Recent Encounters": Eating, sleeping, making wine, cursing Toya Empire.

Sloven?

Is that his original surname?

Clearly, although this winemaking master publicly claimed to have changed his surname to Trundle, he had never abandoned his original surname, which is why "Sloven" could be identified by """Know Yourself and Your Enemy II""".

But the most important thing was Pairo's strength!

Unexpectedly, hidden in this small winery was a Level 70 Mage big shot. Pairo had publicly claimed to be only in his early fifties.

Not only that, Pairo's talents were also excellent.

"Ancient Longevity God Body" was an extremely rare longevity talent that could not only break through racial lifespan limits but also increase strength the longer one lived.

Excessive Mana Recovery needs no further explanation; Dick also had this talent, and after reaching perfection, he never lacked mana, making it very practical.

As for Spell Amplification... Interesting, this was an even rarer curse talent that could greatly enhance the power of curse techniques.

And speaking of curse techniques, one had to mention the Wizard Association, the organization most proficient in spellcraft in the world, with an incredibly comprehensive collection of techniques.

Therefore, Dick suspected that this Pairo was likely a Wizard!

Speaking of which, the previous person who liked drinking and making wine was Enzeer, who, as Elizabeth's father, was also a member of the Wizard Association behind the scenes.

Since he was a Wizard, as long as he revealed his three-star wizard token, Pairo would surely obey and provide all information.

However, with Pairo's terrifying strength at Level 70, he must also be a Wizard Association cadre, and perhaps even of a higher star rank than himself, which was a Bite tricky.

"Young Master Bite, may I ask why you have come to the winery..."

Hearing Pairo's question, Leon immediately pulled Dick forward and introduced him slowly, "This is my beloved friend, Earl Dick Grudia from the Amyria Empire. He wants to see you."

"An Earl from Amyria..."

Pairo murmured, and soon his face lit up with joy. Looking at Dick, he said, "Speaking of which, my late wife was also from Amyria. She often told me about the beauty of that place..."

After some pleasantries, the group entered the winery. Pairo had already prepared a lavish meal, which included a large amount of trundle wine.

After tasting the first sip last night, Dick knew this was a top-quality fine wine, on the same level as "beloved" and "first snow"!

It was no wonder that trundle wine was highly sought after; even the light-tasting Snow Elves greatly enjoyed this ultimate sensory experience on their taste buds.

It was clear that if the winery continued to exist, trundle wine would become the most famous wine in the Eternal Frost Forest.

Of course, this was on the premise that Pairo, as the winemaker, was still alive; only through his hands could truly exquisite fine wine be brewed.

"Earl Grudia, may I ask what brings you to see me? It seems this is our first meeting today..."

Hearing this, Dick casually made up a reason, stating that he simply liked trundle wine and wanted to meet the person who made it.

Pairo welcomed Dick's initiative to get acquainted, enthusiastically sharing various interesting anecdotes about fine wines, behaving as if they were friends who had known each other for years.

Dick keenly noticed something unusual; this Pairo seemed a Bite... overly enthusiastic.

After all, the age difference between them was significant, creating a huge generation gap, and Amyria was also incredibly far from the Eternal Frost Forest, and there was nothing for him to gain from Dick...

Could it be that this Pairo simply liked making friends?

But why didn't Pairo show the same enthusiasm towards Leon?

Clearly, Leon, as the young master of the Bit Family, held a high position and power, making him the perfect target for Pairo to curry favor with.

Although Pairo's performance was flawless, Dick, having lived for a hundred lifetimes, still discovered this oddity.

Evidently, Pairo seemed to have something he needed from him!

Understanding this, Dick merely chatted and laughed during the luncheon, not asking the reason for Pairo's change of surname, nor the specific origin of the surname "Trundle".

Because Dick knew that after this luncheon, Pairo would definitely seek him out privately again, and that would be the time for a heartfelt exchange.

After all, some things were not suitable to be discussed openly.

Whether it was the answer Dick sought or Pairo's request, they basically couldn't be exchanged openly, at least not in a way that Leon, the young master of the Bit Family, would know.
