238: The necessity of leaving Amiya

Chapter 238: The Necessity of Leaving Amyria

In the afternoon, Dick boarded the carriage bound for the Royal Palace.

The purpose of this trip was to finalize some specific details of the Magical Guidance Innovation Project. In addition, Dick also planned to discuss other national policies with Elizabeth.

For the Aimiya Empire to become the Northern overlord and venture out into the world, one Magical Guidance Innovation Project is far from enough.

Economy, politics, military, culture, religion... To strengthen national power, there are too many areas that need development.

Dick had been an emperor for more than one lifetime, and he had ruled the entire world, possessing a wealth of successful practical experience.

As long as Elizabeth wasn't a stubborn and foolish ruler, as long as she could listen to Dick's suggestions, Amyria's rise was only a matter of time.

However, Dick was just a newly appointed Earl and did not hold any advisory positions, so he wasn't qualified to discuss national policies.

But that wasn't a big problem; Dick's words were now more effective than those of the advisory ministers.

Many clever nobles knew that to get things done by Her Majesty, it was best to go to Dick first.

Duke Bison was like this; instead of queuing up to advise Elizabeth and submit memorials, it was more efficient to just have Dick say a word.

Upon arriving at the Royal Palace, guided by Cecilia, Dick quickly met Elizabeth in the Royal Garden.

Although ostensibly, Cecilia had been removed from her position as the Empress's close attendant, she still stayed by Elizabeth's side.

Before departing for the Eternal Frost Forest, she wanted to cherish the last moments spent with Elizabeth, so she went to the Royal Palace every day.

Elizabeth also knew that after Dick and his group returned from the Eternal Frost Forest, they would make a brief stop in Amyria before heading directly south to the Central Continent.

They really didn't have much time left together!

Therefore, Elizabeth did not refuse Cecilia and still treated her as her closest attendant.

Last night, the two of them talked late into the night, reminiscing about the past, pouring out their feelings of parting, and finally fell asleep embracing on the same bed.

"Dick!"

Elizabeth called out joyfully, then jumped into Dick's arms, asking for a loving kiss.

Cecilia watched with a smile from the side, but the heavy hood she wore made her appear somewhat gloomy.

She looked exactly like a dark villain, smirking in the corner, plotting schemes to ruin the protagonist's family...

In just one or two days, Cecilia's silver hair had darkened considerably, and she had also become more averse to sunlight.

Cecilia felt helpless about her changes; the Eternal Night Witch's constitution was difficult to resist with willpower.

Cecilia had also tried taking off her hood and looking directly at the sun, but she quickly experienced severe dizziness and nausea, feeling uncomfortable all over.

There were no other maids or guards in the Royal Garden, so Elizabeth sat directly on Dick's lap without any reservations, chatting.

The strictly etiquette-conscious Cecilia said nothing; after all, the three of them... had done even more improper things.

Dick and Elizabeth chatted for several hours, discussing various aspects of the Aimiya Empire, from economic policies to military strategies, from civil management to legal formulation...

Elizabeth listened intently the entire time, only occasionally questioning, but she was quickly convinced by Dick.

Truth stands up to repeated testing by reality, and what Dick said was all truth he had derived from multiple practical experiences.

In the afternoon Royal Garden, a lesson on governing the country was in progress.

Dick transformed into a seasoned old monarch, imparting valuable experience, both successful and failed, to Elizabeth, the young Empress.

And for Elizabeth, the failed experiences were actually more important; the Aimiya Empire was in a period of rapid ascent, and various challenges would follow one after another.

Dick anticipated many problems that Amyria would encounter in the future and provided the best solutions to avoid significant losses for the empire.

Compared to other places on the Demon Spirit Continent, the Northern region is the most barren due to its severe climate.

The people here are generally poor, and the country's foundation is very shallow, whether it is the Aimiya Empire or the currently strongest Toya Empire.

Perhaps one or two failed reforms, one or two political accidents, one or two economic crises... and the Aimiya Empire would be finished, unable to recover.

Just the Magical Guidance Innovation Project currently underway has already emptied Amyria's treasury and even required external fundraising.

This shows that the Aimiya Empire's margin for error is too low; this country cannot withstand major failures and must constantly maintain success.

Fortunately, the vast majority of countries in the entire Northern region are conservative; they will at most stand still, and the only troublesome Toya Empire is now gone.

It can be said that Amyria has almost no external threats; as long as it proceeds along the established path, success is inevitable.

Many of the plans Dick proposed seemed as radical and insane to Elizabeth as the Magical Guidance Innovation Project!

But similarly, if successful, the Aimiya Empire would undoubtedly take off.

"Elizabeth, I'm just giving you a brief overview today. These plans will likely encounter various difficulties during their specific implementation."

Saying this, Dick took out a thick notebook from the inner pocket of his robe and handed it to Elizabeth.

"These are some humble opinions of mine, addressing various problems in national development."

Dick gently rubbed Elizabeth's head, smoothed her upturned silver hair, and said warmly, "When you're unsure about something, or feel lost, just flip through it."

Taking the notebook Dick handed her, Elizabeth subconsciously opened it. Inside were dense yet neat and beautiful characters.

It explained various problems in simple language, and after each problem, there was a detailed analysis and a perfect solution.

Just by casually looking at the first page, Elizabeth's attention was drawn in, and she greedily absorbed the knowledge within.

This notebook contained millions of words, all substance, not a single wasted word.

"Di, Dick, it's hard to imagine what's in your head, where did you get these national policies from..."

Elizabeth murmured, her beautiful eyes wide. The more she flipped through the notebook Dick handed her, the more shocked she became.

Looking at Elizabeth, who was still engrossed, Dick nodded gently. As long as she followed this "Amyria Development Guide," his task package could be completed.

This was the first time Dick had done a task while idling, after all, he couldn't stay in Amyria, or in the Northern region, forever.

Opportunities in the Central Continent of the Demon Spirit Continent, and even on other continents, were still waiting, and the System would most likely not let him stay in one place.

Elizabeth was a very good executor; her life goal was Rise of the Empire. Dick could leave with peace of mind.

"Dick, please don't leave..."

Elizabeth wrapped her arms around Dick's neck and said sweetly, "Govern with me. I swear I'll give you the greatest power, and you'll always be my only consort..."

Hearing this, Dick gently shook his head and said in a deep voice, "Your Majesty, I must leave with Cecilia to find a way to change the Witch's fate."

Currently, Dick already had four Witches by his side. If they stayed in the Aimiya Empire, no matter how well it was managed, it would eventually be destroyed.

This was the fate of Witches; as they grew stronger, they would bring various disasters to everything around them, eventually destroying everything, harming themselves and others.

However, in fact, Dick knew how to change the tragic fate of Witches; he had always known.

The method was not complicated; as long as he became a stronger existence than a Witch, he could naturally help them defy Fate.

And to become stronger, he couldn't stay in Amyria; he had to travel the world to find various opportunities.

So in a sense, Dick wasn't lying.

Hearing this, Elizabeth looked at Cecilia beside her, and the reluctance on her face gradually turned into determination.

She believed that one day, Cecilia would be able to return to Amyria and live happily here.

Although historically, the fate of every Witch was destruction, without exception.

But Dick might be able to create a miracle and make Cecilia an exception!
