367: Find a wife and children for Trundle

Chapter 366: Finding Trundle a Wife and Children

After finishing his spiel, Dick stopped talking and began to concentrate on reading Trundle's memory.

This was a long memory; even though Trundle spent nearly half his time in slumber, the content was still vast.

Over a thousand years ago, an anti-magic stone buried deep underground shattered, nurturing a million-year-old extreme ice gemstone within.

This was Trundle's original form.

The birth of a god is actually not complicated, especially for a Subordinate God with the lowest divinity; with the baptism of time, they can be nurtured successfully under a series of conditions.

The Eternal Frost Forest is vast and boundless, home to a large number of living beings who generate various forms of energy during their daily activities.

For example, expended vitality, dispersed magic power, free-floating mental power, wandering soul power... these energies did not disappear into thin air but were all absorbed by the Eternal Frost Forest.

Accumulating day by day, gathering little by little, eventually leading to a qualitative change.

These energies converged, giving rise to various rare ores, and also giving rise to Trundle.

Among these, the will of intelligent beings was the key to forming Trundle's consciousness.

It was precisely because the people of the Eternal Frost Forest were simple and kind, honest and courteous, that Trundle, as the Eternal Winter God, was a 'good guy'.

If the Eternal Frost Forest were filled with deceit, betrayal, and evil everywhere, then the god born here would surely be an evil god!

Dick's guess was correct; Trundle was level 74 from the start, this is his eternal fixed level.

Gods do not have a childhood; they do not need to babble or learn to walk; they are in a mature state from birth.

Even various complex knowledge, gods can acquire without a teacher; this is the meaning of so-called 'omniscience and omnipotence'.

Dick had found it strange before; Trundle did not belong to any faction, yet as a wild Beast, he knew so much.

He was learned and versatile, capable of casting various spells, fluent in various dialects, and Trundle also mastered various skills such as forging, brewing, healing, and literature.

Dick had long suspected that Trundle was not a Beast, but at the time, he hadn't interacted with him and lacked concrete evidence.

Trundle is the Eternal Winter God; he is the embodiment of this vast forest and naturally masters everything that has appeared on this land.

Even the archery secret manuals passed down by the Bit Family, Trundle could probably recite backwards.

Everything that happens in the Eternal Frost Forest cannot escape Trundle's eyes, because he IS the Eternal Frost Forest!

At this moment, various light and shadow flickered continuously in Dick's eyes; these were all of Trundle's memories from his birth to the present.

With the help of the Supreme Mage talent 'Eye Mark Calculation', Dick's reading speed was very fast, and he could also remember the content.

Trundle's memory is actually very simple, summarized in four words: 'Happy to help others'.

Sure enough, just as Orivia said, Trundle was either helping people or on his way to help people.

A certain caravan encountered an avalanche, and at the critical moment, it was Trundle who used his massive ape body to block the impact...

A certain hunter was attacked by a pack of wolves, and it was Trundle who stepped in to save him, easily slaying the hundreds of attacking magic wolves...

Even in a certain hidden cave, Trundle could find trapped adventurers in time...

Over time, Trundle's good reputation naturally spread widely, and those saved by Trundle were all deeply grateful.

As for why, Trundle was only close to intelligent beings like humans, Orcs, Dwarves, and Elves, but completely indifferent to the lives of Beasts.

At first, Dick thought that because Trundle was Orivia's Subordinate God, he was close to the Snow Maiden followers.

But now it seems that Trundle was simply 'fulfilling his filial duty'.

After all, his consciousness came entirely from intelligent beings; humans, Orcs, Dwarves, and Elves were essentially like the parents who raised him.

Although in the matter of nurturing Trundle, Beasts, as part of the Eternal Frost Forest, also contributed.

But unfortunately, Beasts did not participate in the construction of Trundle's personality, which is equivalent to being responsible for gestation and birth but not for raising.

Before long, Dick browsed Trundle's memories from half a year ago.

At that time, Trundle saved Ata and his wife who were attacked by a magic bear. While treating Arlene, he unexpectedly discovered the twins in her belly.

Then, Trundle fell into severe depression; an unprecedented sense of loneliness was plaguing him.

From his birth until now, Trundle had always been alone, with no parents, no partner, and no offspring.

Although Trundle had realized this long ago, the healthy twins in Arlene's belly became the last straw that overwhelmed him.

Loneliness caused Trundle to have suicidal thoughts; he had been trying continuously for the past six months but had never succeeded in killing himself.

Due to repeated failed suicide attempts, Trundle became even more depressed, to the point of causing a terrible snow disaster.

Since the cause was clear, the next step was the treatment plan.

Currently, Trundle already knows his identity; he will no longer attempt suicide, so the main focus is on dispelling depression.

But as a god, Trundle is destined to have no peers, let alone offspring...

After much thought, Dick grasped the key to the problem: what made Trundle depressed was not the inability to reproduce, but loneliness.

Referring to some infertile intelligent beings, their solution is actually very simple: adopt a child from an orphanage.

Therefore, Trundle can also find a low-level Magic Ape; he can be a foster father.

As for Trundle's partner, that's even simpler: find a way to find a female ape-like Beast that can shapeshift.

At that time, with a wife and children, Trundle would no longer be lonely, and the source of his depression would naturally disappear completely!

Although the wife is not of the same species and the child is not biological, you could say he has them.

However, the biggest problem currently is finding a wife and children for Trundle.

There are no ape-like Beasts in the Eternal Frost Forest; not only that, there are none in the entire Northern region of the Demon Spirit Continent.

After all, most ape-like Beasts fear the cold and generally live in the warm south. Dick couldn't possibly travel hundreds of millions of miles to the south to carry two Magic Apes back.

Although there are also cold-resistant Snow Ape clans in this world, they are not on the Demon Spirit Continent and are even farther away.

Thus, the plan to find Trundle a wife and children seems to have... gone bankrupt before it was even implemented?

Dick frowned in thought. Was he going to have to rely on his glib tongue again to forcefully counsel Trundle, like a real psychologist?

After just a brief thought, Dick gave up.

Because psychological treatment requires a lot of time, and Dick was rushing to the Central Continent to find Isurna; he absolutely couldn't stay in the Northern region for too long.

Suddenly, Dick had a flash of inspiration.

Actually, it's not impossible to find ape-like Beasts within the Eternal Frost Forest; if luck is good enough, there's a place where the task can be easily accomplished.

That is the Underground City!

The Beasts there are all randomly spawned; there are flying ones, ground ones, swimming ones, everything, and it completely disregards environmental factors like climate.

And coincidentally, there is a C-level Underground City in the Eternal Frost Forest, named Bailuolan.

That place will become Trundle's exclusive marriage agency and welfare home; his wife and children are all there!
