9: After school
After school in the afternoon, three students from the opposite school walked towards the Card Shop together.
Xu Bai also noticed that the ones walking over were the tenants from the three rooms above: Fang Mu, Zhao Zixuan, and Li Baoyu.
Their three families had good financial conditions. Renting a house outside of school wasn't to save on school accommodation fees, but because they occasionally had special tutoring. No matter where, children's studies always involved fierce competition.
Xu Bai looked at Xu Le beside him, wondering when his child would be able to go to school.
At this moment, Xu Le, who was stacking a triangular wooden block onto a square one, was completely unaware of his brother's thoughts. After placing it, he let out a joyful, milky cheer.
Before the cheer could even end, Fugui nudged the triangular block down with his nose.
Xu Le's face crumpled, "Doggy $%##%#$@%#"
After a string of baby talk directed at the dog, Xu Le continued building his little house.
Xu Bai observed for a moment, and seeing that the child wasn't crying, he let them play.
Just then, the three crossed the road and arrived in front of the shop.
"Little Brother Xu, good afternoon!"
"Brother Xu, good afternoon! Little Lele, good afternoon!"
"Good afternoon, Brother Xu."
The three greeted each other as they approached, each with their own distinct personality, but all looking like spirited youths.
These three had been renting in this area for two years and were already familiar with Xu Bai. At the same time, Xu Bai had graduated from this academy, making him their senior, and they would often ask him for advice on any problems they had.
The three generally called Xu Bai 'Brother Xu', while 'Little Brother Xu' was a playful jab, which showed the closeness of their relationship.
"Good afternoon. No tutoring classes today?"
The three quickly made a gesture of surrender.
"No, no, no, don't talk about studying, then you're still our good Brother Xu."
"That's right, that's right, studying is so tiring!"
After saying that, Zhao Zixuan looked around, dragged a stool from the side, and sat down casually.
Seeing Zhao Zixuan's actions, Li Baoyu quickly followed, found two chairs, sat on one, and handed the other to Fang Mu.
Fang Mu was slightly more composed, taking the chair and sitting beside them.
"Brother Xu, have you designed any new cardss recently? Let us have a look."
The first to speak was indeed Zhao Zixuan, the attention-seeker.
"There haven't been too many big changes. I just designed this yun rou jin (cloud soft tissue) cards to make it easier to take care of my child."
After saying that, Xu Bai tossed each of them a pack of tissues.
Zhao Zixuan and Fang Mu deftly caught the tissues and immediately tore them open to try them out.
However, Li Baoyu's hands were not very coordinated. The tissue pack swayed between his left and right hands for a moment, and a force from who knows where sent it flying towards his front left.
"Watch out!"
To Li Baoyu's front left was where Xu Le and Fugui were. And the tissue pack was flying straight towards Xu Le's head.
No one had time to react; it was too late to intercept it now.
Just then, Fugui knocked the tissue pack aside with his head, giving Li Baoyu a slightly disdainful look.
"Fugui, I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose."
Li Baoyu said as he went to pick up the tissue pack.
This unexpected incident made everyone pause for a moment, but Fugui's look brought them back to their senses.
Zhao Zixuan couldn't help but say, "Brother Xu, this dog has become a spirit, hasn't he?"
"Sigh."
A sigh was heard. Following the sound, they found it was Xu Le who had made it. Everyone thought something else had happened.
Looking closely, they saw that the building blocks in front of Xu Le had also been knocked down by Fugui.
