58: Get out of here! Or I'll kill you!

“Now, come here, your big brother will make you feel good—Ah, ah, ah!”

Before the fat man could finish speaking, someone climbed onto the boat from the water, and a sharp dagger plunged savagely into his back of the neck.

Bai Wanning’s movements were swift and merciless. The fat man didn't even have time to scream or see the killer before his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed heavily onto the deck.

Blood gushed out like a fountain, instantly drenching Bai Wanning. The cut flesh was clearly visible, mixed with white, greasy fat.

“Ah, ah! You killed someone! You killed someone!” Lu Yin shrieked, covering her face, as if afraid no one would hear her.

“Shut up!” Bai Wanning snapped, raising her foot and stepping directly on Lu Yin’s throat. “Dare to say one more word, and I’ll throw you into the water. Whether you survive or not depends on your own luck. Want to try it?”

Lu Yin’s face instantly turned pale. She finally understood that the Bai Wanning in front of her was not someone she could provoke.

After all, this woman didn’t even blink when she killed someone.

Her gaze fell on the corpse, then she looked up at Bai Wanning, who was covered in blood and exuded a terrifying aura, and nodded in terror.

Only then did Bai Wanning withdraw her foot and crouch down to check Bai Zhan’s injuries. With just one look, she discovered that the fat man had broken three of her brother's ribs, and her brows immediately furrowed.

The anger in her eyes burned even brighter. She suddenly raised the dagger and plunged it fiercely into the fat man’s foot.

Blood gushed out, but it did nothing to quell her rage.

Then, she coldly glanced at Lu Yin, who was cowering in the corner, head bowed and trembling.

Lu Yin was not foolish; she knew something must have happened to Bai Zhan, and Bai Wanning was also blaming her. So, she immediately clamped her lips shut, not daring to cause any more trouble without her brother’s support.

She understood perfectly that if she dared to make a fuss, Bai Wanning would not hesitate to silence her along with her brother.

However, Bai Wanning did not lay a hand on Lu Yin.

She understood that making too many enemies now was not worth it. Lu Yu would soon awaken as an Earth Ability User, and she temporarily had no intention of provoking them.

Once Xiao Cai was born, she would make Lu Yin repay the pain her brother suffered twofold. But for now, Bai Wanning’s eyes turned cold, and she steered the small boat swiftly towards the shore.

“Brother!” As soon as they reached the shore, Lu Yin eagerly scrambled off the boat, wanting to rush into her brother’s arms like a startled canary.

However, before she could, someone grabbed her wrist, and she was violently spun around.

Slap!

A crisp slap echoed on the silent shore.

Everyone stared in shock at Bai Wanning and Lu Yin.

Bai Wanning, however, ignored their surprised gazes, raised her hand, and slapped Lu Yin hard again.

Seeing this, Lu Yu tried to step forward to stop her, but Lei Yan pulled him back.

She knew that Bai Wanning was not unreasonable, nor would she hit Lu Yin without cause. Moreover, Bai Wanning’s clothes were stained with blood; clearly, something must have happened on the boat.

“You, you hit me?” Lu Yin was stunned. She had been pampered since childhood, and as Lu Yu’s younger sister, everyone treated her with respect, doting on her like a princess. When had anyone ever slapped her in public like this?

“Not only do I dare to hit you…” Bai Wanning sneered, grabbing her collar and lifting her off the ground.

Bai Wanning looked slender and delicate, like a harmless little rabbit, yet she could lift Lu Yin so easily, which truly startled Lu Yin.

Lu Yin struggled, hitting Bai Wanning’s hand, and sobbed softly, “Let! Let go of me! Cough—”

Bai Wanning, however, completely ignored her pleas and roared in a cold, sharp voice, “I don’t care what games you’re playing! If you want to be a saint, use your own resources! If you want to give your things away, I don’t care! But if you dare to harm my family again like tonight, I swear… next time it won’t just be a few slaps!”

As her words fell, she flung Lu Yin away like a rag doll.

“Yinyin!” Lu Yu quickly rushed forward and helped his sister up.

He could tell at a glance that Bai Wanning was truly enraged and dared not provoke her further.

Although he inwardly blamed his sister for being reckless and not listening, he did not criticize her in front of everyone.

Seeing Lu Yu’s gaze fall on her, Bai Wanning spoke coldly, “Do you blame me?”

“Of course not, I blame myself,” Lu Yu immediately shook his head, his attitude extremely swift.

Bai Wanning sneered, too lazy to bother with him further, and walked to the side of the boat, yanking the fat man’s corpse off.

“Miss Lu,” Bai Wanning said with a chilling tone, “do you really want to continue pretending to be a saint? Then let you see with your own eyes what happens if you don’t stop.”

She threw the corpse into the water without hesitation.

As soon as the corpse hit the water, the strong smell of blood immediately attracted the Mutated Rats lurking below.

The monster suddenly leaped out of the water, bit the corpse, and dragged both the person and the corpse underwater, rolling and disappearing from sight.

“Did you see that?” Bai Wanning turned around, patted Lu Yin’s trembling cheek, and said in a chilling voice, “Next time if you dare to hold us back again, I’ll throw you into a pile of monsters and have you torn to shreds alive! Your brother won’t be able to save you then, understand?”

Lu Yin subconsciously nodded. She was breathless under the oppressive killing aura emanating from Bai Wanning and dared not contradict her in any way.

Only then did Bai Wanning reveal a smile, but the smile was cold and biting, not reaching her eyes.

She looked up at Lu Yu and said coldly, “Your foolish sister caused my brother to break three ribs. You’d better give me an explanation for this.”

Hospitals were now overcrowded, and the new virus was rampant. Bai Wanning dared not take her second brother to the hospital at all.

Therefore, if her brother’s injury was not dealt with quickly, it might turn into a big problem.

Fortunately, in the bartering exchange, a Spiritual Master would send out some talismans every night. If she clicked fast enough, she might be able to snatch a talisman or potion that could heal her brother.

Before dawn, Bai Wanning and her group returned to Ancient North Grand Court.

As soon as they reached downstairs, they saw the stairwell blocked by several people.

They sat listlessly on the stairs, looking at the water level rising day by day, their faces grim.

But when they saw Bai Wanning and her group return with a rubber dinghy and bulging bags, the few people immediately stood up like sharks smelling blood, chattering and crowding around.

“Did you bring food? Can you share some with us? I’m hungry and cold, I haven’t eaten in a week!”

Someone spoke, and others followed suit, clamoring.

“Yeah, you brought a lot, give us some!”

“We don’t eat much, just some snacks will do!”

“Look at that child, he hasn’t eaten in three days!”

“What did you bring? Hurry and show us!”

Bai Wanning coldly scanned them, then unhesitatingly wielded her dagger and shouted sharply, “Get lost! Otherwise—I’ll take your lives!”
