429: Showdown

“Fight?”

The East Sea Sword Saint looked at Chen De with burning eyes.

“Alright.”

Chen De agreed; this was precisely his purpose in coming here.

“Let’s change locations. We can’t fully display our power here.”

He didn’t want to expose his strength so quickly, or rather, he didn’t want to expose his strength to the public eye.

The East Sea Sword Saint glanced around, had no objection, and nodded slightly. “Agreed!”

Subsequently, the two arrived at a spatial rift in the Four Profound Heavens and completely broke through it, reaching a void region far from the Four Profound Heavens.

With their current strength, they were already capable of detaching from the Four Profound Heavens to a certain extent.

Some powerhouses of the Four Profound Heavens, once their cultivation reached its limit, would leave the Four Profound Heavens and venture outside the realm, seeking opportunities.

However, without the protection of a world, this was an extremely dangerous endeavor.

One reason was the high likelihood of getting lost, potentially never being able to return.

Another was the suppression of laws; the laws of a higher plane would be greatly suppressed by a lower plane after leaving the Four Profound Heavens.

Outside the realm, regardless of whether a being belonged to a lower plane or not, it would constantly be scoured by countless Chaos Laws.

This is because under chaotic laws, the conditions for matter to exist are fundamentally absent.

Of course, “not allowed to exist” is just a broad concept.

It’s impossible for two laws to have absolutely no intersection; there will always be a small overlapping region.

And the matter that arises from that small region would then be simultaneously applicable to both of these laws.

It's like if a shape satisfying the first condition was the size of two palms, and the part of that shape satisfying the second condition was only the size of one palm, then the intersection would ultimately be only the size of one palm.

If more conditions were added at this point, the shape would become progressively smaller.

Even with many laws, there must be an extremely tiny intersectional region.

Because these laws can coexist in the world, it means they must have some common ground, rather than being completely and absolutely contradictory.

And within this narrow region lies the maximum extent of the material unit forms permitted to exist by these laws.

The more laws there are, the smaller this region becomes, and the smaller the maximum permitted material unit forms will be.

This also aligns perfectly with the laws of nature: the greater the energy, the larger the volume, and the more unstable it becomes.

Simply put, the more minuscule something is, the more stable it is, and the stronger its commonality.

In martial arts, the material unit that holds true under all law conditions is called the primordial fundamental material unit.

All material units above it are composed of arrangements and combinations of this fundamental material unit.

The largest substance that exists under certain law conditions is referred to as the fundamental material unit under that law.

When, on the basis of all laws, one law is removed.

In this situation, the primordial fundamental material unit still exists because it adapts to everything.

However, a new fundamental material unit emerges; it does not apply to the law that was removed.

Compared to the primordial fundamental substance, it is cruder and its applicable scope is smaller.

This unit is named the fundamental material unit that is maximally allowed to exist under the current law conditions, also known as the secondary fundamental material unit.

Under this condition, if another law is reduced, the primordial and first-level units still exist, but a second-level fundamental material unit is also added.

If different laws are reduced, even if they are of the same level, the newly appearing fundamental material units will differ, excluding the primordial one.

When laws are added, the fundamental material unit maximally allowed under the original laws will disintegrate, transforming into units of a lower grade, potentially of any grade.

For example, if a second-level unit exists in a third-level law environment, and the law added is precisely the one that the second-level unit lacked, it will first disintegrate into a primordial unit before undergoing subsequent changes.

Generally, the most abundant fundamental unit in a law environment is the fundamental unit maximally allowed to exist in that environment.

For instance, in a three-level law environment, three-level material fundamental units dominate, while smaller-level units can be ignored except in certain circumstances.

And these units can be arranged and combined based on quantitative changes, accumulating in various external forms.

It's like the electrons, protons, and neutrons of Chen De's previous life; this is one level.

They accumulated to form atoms, increasing by one level and adding one restriction.

It's like electrons, protons, and neutrons accumulating to form iron atoms, and they can also accumulate to form gold atoms, hydrogen atoms, and iron atoms.

But an iron atom cannot accumulate into a gold atom; it can only continue to accumulate at a higher level.

Atoms then accumulated into higher-level matter, once again increasing by one level and adding another restriction.

Just as carbon atoms can accumulate into diamonds, they can also accumulate into ordinary black charcoal, but diamonds cannot accumulate into black charcoal.

These fundamental substances of the same level can also accumulate with each other, forming different atoms based on the varying charges within all substances, and different atoms can accumulate into different compounds according to different ratios.

These compounds, in turn, accumulate into new substances based on different ratios.

Therefore, any form of matter existing under chaotic laws is extremely dangerous.

If a safe haven isn't found in time, they will be eroded away by these laws.

They will completely transform into the smallest unit of matter allowed to exist under the Chaos Law, until they are pulled and absorbed by a certain world, forming new matter.

However, these chaotic laws are also the unrivaled choice for body cultivators to temper their bodies.

To become immune to all laws, one must undergo sufficient tempering by laws.

Of course, any body cultivator without a certain level of strength who comes here would instantly perish.

Naturally, this group of individuals lacking a certain level of strength does not include Chen De and the East Sea Sword Saint.

Both of them have already reached the pinnacle of the lower planes, the extreme of extremes, the peak of peaks.

Chen De inherently possesses eighty-one complete laws, forming the highest law ring of the Mortal Realm, rendering him completely immune to the erosion of countless chaotic laws.

The East Sea Sword Saint, on the other hand, has pushed one path to its absolute extreme, truly reaching the level of “one sword breaking all laws”—the “laws” of the Law.

Both of them are beings who can freely roam the lower planes.

“Please!”

After some thought, since he was the one who sought him out, Chen De decided to exchange pleasantries first.

The next moment, his eyes turned crimson, and he suddenly struck first.

He condensed a pitch-black blade, holding its hilt as he looked at the East Sea Sword Saint.

World Shattering Descending Demon Blade!

Seeing Chen De’s stance, the East Sea Sword Saint not only wasn’t angry but his eyes lit up, becoming excited.

He hadn't expected that Chen De was also a blade cultivator, an already incredibly powerful blade cultivator.

Although not pure enough, there was no doubt that he, like himself, stood at the pinnacle of the lower planes.

Since ancient times, blades and swords have been equally prominent weapons, and the rivalry between blade and sword has a long history.

This encounter, for the East Sea Sword Saint, made him incredibly expectant.

Because this would be a duel between the First Blade of the Lower Planes and the First Sword of the Lower Planes, and even more so, a duel between blade and sword.

Not far from them, a man watched all of this with a smile on his face.
