116: Chapter 116 Now she has grown up gracefully.

In the first year after Mu Xue died, you didn't know how you got through it; time seemed to slow down again.

The main door was always left open, and you were always wondering if one day, a girl with a lollipop in her mouth would push the door open and walk in.

Then, she would climb onto you and bite your neck hard.

Venerable Li Kun had already left. On the day you told him to go, that middle-aged man knelt before you, saying he didn't want to leave and wanted to continue serving you.

You refused.

In truth, he didn't look anything like the original Venerable Li Kun anymore. As for what his real name was, you didn't know; you just kept calling him Venerable Li Kun.

In that large house, only you remained.

Actually, this place was always meant for only one person.

At first, there was only True Immortal Qinglan.

Then came Mu Xue.

Then came you.

Finally, True Immortal Qinglan left.

Mu Xue left too.

Only you were left.

You would often stare blankly at the small snow-forest fruit tree in the courtyard, sometimes for a long time.

You even thought about just ending your own life, but in the end, you never did it.

You could feel that you still had a long time left to live.

If you could, you would even want to give half of your lifespan to Mu Xue.

In the hundred years after Mu Xue died, you often thought about her.

You thought about the first time you met, her arrogant expression.

"Looks like a challenger has come this year!" Mu Xue had said back then, with a candy in her mouth.

Every time you thought of these things, you couldn't help but smile.

But as you laughed, you would feel a wave of heartache.

You hadn't bought lollipops for the candy jar in a long time; the ones from before still weren't finished.

Back when Mu Xue was around, you probably had to refill it every ten years.

"They shouldn't be spoiled, right?" you thought, taking one out.

"They're spoiled." you said after taking a lick.

The lollipop was pink.

It was strawberry flavored.

But it tasted bitter in your mouth.

The candy has been sitting for a hundred years and spoiled, you thought.

But you knew that was impossible. The candy jar had a Formation you had constructed yourself; even if the lollipops stayed in there for ten thousand years, they would still be good.

A thousand years after Mu Xue died, time seemed to speed up again.

You had become a legend on the Tianheng Continent.

Those True Immortals who had seen you recast the sun's orbit back then were all dead.

Sects on the continent rose and fell, fell and rose.

The once-thriving Formation Association was now nothing more than an empty shell.

The six great super powers had now become three: one Emperor Sect, the Sword Sect; one Pavilion, the Wanbao Pavilion; and one Tower, the Yuanshen Tower.

The new generation of Cultivators had only ever seen your name in ancient texts.

They said the True Immortal of the Four Seasons could move mountains and fill seas, and could reverse life and death.

He was the strongest Cultivator in the history of the entire Tianheng Continent.

You had no feelings about this.

You still often leaned back on the reclining chair in the courtyard, rocking back and forth, sometimes basking in the sun, sometimes basking in the moonlight.

That day was just like any other.

You yawned on the reclining chair, feeling the sunlight from space a bit dazzling.

It seemed like it was almost summer here at the Sword Sect.

It would be another ordinary day.

Suddenly, a clear sword hum came from the direction of the Sword Tomb.

All the Sword Sect Disciples put down what they were doing and subconsciously looked up.

They saw a blue sword light break through the Restriction of the Sword Tomb, like a shooting star, flying rapidly toward the south.

A Senior's companion sword had been awakened.

It looked like the Sword Sect would have another Prodigy.

An Emperor Elder of the Sword Sect subconsciously wanted to get up and pursue it.

But as soon as he looked up, he was so scared he shrank back.

The True Immortal of the Four Seasons had actually left his residence and was pursuing the direction of that Flying Sword.

Southern Chu Kingdom, Qingyan Sect.

This was a small Sect that couldn't even be considered third-rate.

But it couldn't be helped; it was the only Cultivation Sect within a radius of seven hundred miles.

On the day of the Disciple recruitment ceremony, children from the eight surrounding cities all rushed over.

The martial arts arena was packed; parents crowded around the fence, stretching their necks, their eyes full of anticipation.

The Outer Sect Elder presiding over the ceremony cleared his throat and waved his hand.

The children stood in a crooked line, one by one placing their hands on the Spiritual Root testing stone.

"There are a few good seedlings," the presiding Elder said, nodding with satisfaction as he looked at a few children with Profound Spiritual Roots. They would enter the Sect directly to become Inner Sect Disciples.

It was the last little girl's turn.

Her name was Su Nian, an orphan from the village at the foot of the mountain.

Three years ago, her parents were beaten to death by the Chen family because they refused to sell their few acres of spirit fields to them.

She hid in a woodpile and watched it all happen with her own eyes.

From then on, she was all alone.

She wanted to get revenge, but the Chen family, it was said, had a Golden Core Cultivator.

She also wanted to join the Sect, she also wanted to become a Cultivator.

Thinking this, she placed her hand on the Spiritual Root testing stone.

The next moment.

A blinding golden light shot into the sky, illuminating the entire Qingyan Mountain.

Even the sun in the sky was overshadowed.

"Heaven... Heavenly Spiritual Root!!! It's a Heavenly Spiritual Root that is rarely seen in ten thousand years!"

The Outer Sect Elder's voice cracked, and he sprang up from his chair.

The entire martial arts arena instantly erupted in chaos.

Just then, a blue sword light tore through the sky.

As fast as lightning.

It landed steadily at Su Nian's feet.

The sword body trembled slightly, emitting a clear "humming" sound.

Following that, an incomparably powerful aura descended, pressing down so hard that no one could lift their heads.

You looked at the girl beside Blue Snow.

"From today on, you are my only Disciple."

It seemed that True Immortal Qinglan had also said these words to Mu Xue back then.

The people around looked at the girl, all knowing that she was about to transform from a sparrow into a Phoenix.

The girl looked at you and asked, "Can you help me get revenge?"

You smiled slightly, "Of course."

The girl told you what had happened, and you learned her name was Su Nian.

"Is it them?" You waved your hand, and the dozens of members of the Chen family all appeared in the martial arts arena.

They looked around in shock, not knowing what had happened.

Su Nian looked at them and nodded; she saw the person who had beaten her parents to death.

You also nodded, and then, the heads of everyone in the Chen family fell to the ground.

Seeing this scene, everyone was extremely shocked, not even daring to look up and meet your gaze.

Su Nian, however, was not afraid at all; instead, her eyes looked at you curiously like a little kitten.

You brought Su Nian back to the Sword Sect.

"Do you want to eat this?" You held out a lollipop to Su Nian.

The little girl took the lollipop and put it in her mouth.

"Is it good?" you asked.

"It's good." she replied.

Blue Snow flew around Su Nian, who had the lollipop in her mouth, her eyes curiously looking around like a little kitten.

For a moment.

You almost thought that Mu Xue had returned.

A breeze blew through the courtyard, stirring the leaves of the snow-forest fruit tree, the green leaves rustling.

Su Nian, with the lollipop in her mouth, walked under the snow-forest fruit tree.

She looked up at the green leaves covering the tree.

Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, falling on her face.

She turned her head and looked at you.

"Master, what kind of tree is this?"

You walked over and stood beside her.

You raised your hand and gently touched the rough trunk.

That little seed that Mu Xue had carefully buried in the soil back then.

Had now grown so tall.

You stood by the tree for a long time; Su Nian thought you wouldn't answer.

Then she heard your voice, so gentle.

"It is a snow-forest fruit tree."

"It was planted by your Mistress before she died, and now it has grown graceful and tall."
