61: Chapter 61 The King of Falun
"Isn't Prisoner 5 a bit too fierce?" Lin Heng's mouth twitched as he looked at the content above.
He was a little worried; Prisoner 5 was currently bound by the so-called Seal of the Goddess, and he wasn't even on Earth but on someone else's turf. It wouldn't be good if something happened.
After all, Prisoner 5 had only lived to be forty-something, so he could only obtain forty-something talent points.
With the cultivation of a Martial God, one could live to be about five hundred years old if there were no accidents.
Lin Heng naturally hoped that Prisoner 5 would live as long as possible, preferably a thousand years, so that in the next simulation, Lin Liu could take off immediately.
"I don't get it. Although it says the other party can't do anything to Prisoner 5, I'm still worried about the 'what ifs.' Plus, he started off by slapping the King right in the face." Lin Heng, for his part, didn't understand Prisoner 5's actions at all.
[The entire hall was in shock; the two rows of ministers seated below the King all stared at you with their mouths agape in astonishment.]
["Slap!"]
[Another crisp sound rang out, and another solid slap landed squarely on the King's face.]
[The sound echoed throughout the great hall.]
[The King's head tilted to the side from the blow, his golden crown flying off and rolling across the red carpet.]
["And you're bald to boot!" You looked at the King's head and mocked him.]
[The King's face, which looked like a crumpled plastic bag, instantly turned as red as pig liver.]
["You... how dare you strike me?" He stammered, his face flushed and his voice cracking.]
["What 'you'?" You said, and slapped him across the face again.]
["Quick... quickly, protect Your Majesty!" Lorne was the first to react, screaming as he rushed forward and grabbed your arm.]
[However, the guy's strength was pitifully weak; instead, you grabbed him right back, and he couldn't break free.]
["You commoner, let me go!" Lorne roared.]
["Oh! You dare to rush up here yourself!" You looked at the old man, Lorne, and said, "You're quite fierce, aren't you!"]
[With that, you grabbed Lorne's head and pressed it against the King's head.]
["Hero, please stop!" Captain of the Knights Eldon shouted, staring at you.]
[You ignored him, sneered, and with one hand on each of their heads, slammed them together.]
[The two old men were instantly pressed together intimately!]
[At that moment, the royal guards finally arrived. They raised their spears and stared at you, but no one dared to move.]
[They all knew your status: Knight of the Goddess, the Hero of the human world!]
["What are you standing there for? Protect Your Majesty!" the kingdom's minister, Velt, shouted.]
[At Velt's shout, the royal guards finally moved.]
[A dozen spears pointed at you in unison, their silvery tips glinting coldly in the candlelight. The guards formed a circle around you.]
[You raised your hand and looked at the Captain of the Knights: "Take me away!"]
[The Captain of the Knights glanced at you, then at His Majesty the King, who was still pressed against the Grand Mage.]
[Lorne nodded with difficulty.]
[Seeing Lorne's signal, the Captain of the Knights took a deep breath and said to you.]
["This way, Hero."]
[You returned to the room from before. Since Lorne hadn't cast a magic circle on your door, Captain of the Knights Eldon stood in front of the gate to prevent you from leaving.]
[It was a wooden door, and the panels weren't actually that thick; you could probably break it.]
[But there was no need for that. After all, with your current strength, defeating that Captain of the Knights would take some effort.]
[Moreover, it would attract the guards. If you were lucky, you might be able to escape.]
["But there's no need for that," you said.]
[From the commotion in the great hall earlier, you discovered that your status as the Hero was even more noble than you had thought. You had slapped the King several times in front of the kingdom's ministers, yet basically no one dared to step forward to stop you.]
[In the eyes of those guards and knights, your status was likely even more noble than the King's, you thought.]
[The Falun Kingdom was likely equivalent to some medieval countries on Earth. The King's power was granted by the Goddess, and you were the Knight of the Goddess; in terms of status, you would only be higher than the King, not lower.]
[Especially the knights—even after you had insulted their King so thoroughly, this Captain of the Knights was still respectful toward you.]
[Besides that, it seemed this magic really had no offensive capabilities. You had initially thought that even if there was some kind of Goddess's Blessing, a grand mage of a country should have had a way to break it.]
[But when you were slapping the King, Lorne, even when he rushed up, didn't use any magic against you.]
[Furthermore, the Falun Kingdom was currently facing the threat of the Demon Race, so the chips in your hand were bigger than theirs.]
[You didn't know how much time had passed; this godforsaken place didn't even have a way to tell the time. The sun slowly sank below the horizon, and someone specially delivered your dinner.]
[You had just finished eating when the door opened again.]
[The person who arrived was none other than the King. His stomach was larger than the doorway, and he squeezed through the frame, causing the two door panels to creak loudly.]
[Lorne followed behind him. He looked at you and said, "Hero, as you requested, the King has come to see you!"]
[You sat up and bowed to the King: "Greetings, Your Majesty. I wonder if your face still hurts."]
[The King looked at you without speaking; your handprints were still visible on both of his cheeks.]
["Hero, you commoner, don't be too presumptuous!" Lorne looked at you and said.]
[You gave him a cold look.]
[Lorne was a bit afraid under your gaze. After all, in his view, you completely ignored the rules of the game. Thinking this, he backed away and retreated behind the Captain of the Knights.]
["Hero," the King cleared his throat, trying to make himself look dignified, but his swollen, squinting eyes couldn't really command any presence. "I have come to discuss the matter of subjugating the Devil King with you."]
["What does the Devil King have to do with me?" you said indifferently.]
[Before the King could speak, the Captain of the Knights interjected.]
["How does it have nothing to do with you? You are the Knight of the Goddess, the Hero of the human world!"]
["Shut up!" Lorne took his staff and knocked the Captain of the Knights on the head: "You commoner, is it your place to speak here?"]
[Hearing this, the Captain of the Knights took a step back and lowered his head: "This subordinate has overstepped."]
["It is fine, Eldon." The King looked at you again: "You are right, Hero. I am not the spokesperson of the Goddess, and you are not the Knight of the Goddess. Whether the Goddess even exists is debatable."]
["Faith is, after all, something used to fool those commoners." As he said this, the King glanced at the Captain of the Knights.]
[The Captain of the Knights didn't speak, only kept his head lowered.]
[You felt you had underestimated this King; you had initially thought he was just a glutton who only knew how to eat.]
[It seemed you had judged him by his appearance; to have become King, he must have had some ability.]
["Go home!" The King looked at your wrinkled face and smiled: "We were able to summon you to this world, and we can also provide you with a magic circle to return!"]
["So, Hero, will you now go to subjugate the Devil King?"]
